Chapter 266 White Moths Form a Wall

After cleaning up the bloodstains and other debris from the sea burial and food offerings, everyone was exhausted and limp, slumped on the deck, unwilling to move.

It was completely dark when the cargo ship's lights came on.

After a long and tiring day, the gentle, radiant light falls upon them, bringing a sense of tranquility and temporary peace.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

People who were resting felt a mosquito bite on their face with a crisp snap. When they opened their eyes, they saw a dead white moth about the size of a thumb in their palm.

In a daze, everything in front of me was white, but I didn't think much of it and just closed my eyes to rest.

Snap, snap, snap...

"Oh, where did all these white moths come from?"

"Oh my God!"

"Get away, get away..."

"..."

At first, there were hundreds or thousands, but the more you chased them away, the more they multiplied, and the more you fought them, the more they spread, covering the sky and the earth.

The mist and white moths blended together, and in the end, it was impossible to tell whether it was mist or white moths. They were everywhere, so numerous that you couldn't open your eyes.

"It itches, it itches so much."

"The moths are poisonous, the moths are poisonous, everyone be careful."

"Ugh, it itches, it itches so badly, damn it, get away from me, get away from me."

"..."

Ning Xiaoqi used her fire ability to burn a large area, but it didn't solve anything. White moths were everywhere, and there was nowhere to hide.

Ning Qiang was also in a sorry state. After struggling for a long time, he wiped out one group, only to have another group appear. It was a never-ending cycle of extinction.

Relying on its overwhelming strength, it closed its eyes and charged outwards.

Ning Dage shouted, "Second...Second Young Master..."

He wanted to say, "Second Young Master, take me with you," but as soon as he opened his mouth, several moths swarmed in, choking him so much that he couldn't utter another word.

Ning Qiang was too preoccupied to care about him; he was struggling to fly himself.

A single white moth is as light as a feather, but when thousands upon thousands of white moths fall, their weight is equally considerable.

The white moths outnumbered and were riding high. Trying to break through? Ha, that won't work!

How could we let such a plump prey go so easily?

Thousands of white moths hissed, and more white moths swarmed around. Ning Qiang felt as if a thick wall had blocked his way, and he couldn't break through it no matter how hard he tried.

The "YAO..." sound was cut short as the eagle swallowed the remaining "YAO" sound along with the moths, leaving it with twenty or thirty white moths in its beak.

Gah... Gah... It's itchy, painful, and nauseating; it's like being tortured.

The first attempt to break through the encirclement ended in failure.

As if venting its anger, it swatted a dozen or so white moths to death with each swipe of its claws. Frustrated, it wanted to roar to the sky, but remembering its previous lesson, it closed its beak tightly, gathered its strength, and charged upwards again.

Realizing that the other side was going to fight to the death, thousands of white moths desperately gnawed at the eagle's wings.

Ning Qiang felt as if he were being tortured by ten thousand ants, tears of blood streaming from the corners of his eyes. He groaned a few times, flapped his wings, and sent half of the white moths flying away with a powerful gust of wind.

The white moths flapped their wings, emitting an alarm sound that humans could not hear, and more white moths swarmed to intercept the eagles.

The eagle's wings stirred the air currents, and white moths swirled and danced around it in a magnificent display.

More white moths, with a poignant beauty, rushed toward the center of the vortex, were blown away layer by layer, and then clung to the eagle's body.

Carrying white moths two or three times thicker than its own body, the eagle staggered out of the encirclement. With each meter it rose higher, the white moths on its body were thinned by the wind.

After flying for about ten minutes, the eagle's body finally revealed its true shape, with only a few strong white moths still relentlessly biting at their prey.

The eagle's head, face, and body were covered in large and small welts from white moth stings, so itchy that it plunged into the sea. The cool seawater provided some relief.

He was panting heavily: "Damn it, where did all these white moths come from?"

Wiping the water from his head and face, Ning Qiang wondered what methods Zuo Ling's family would use to deal with the situation if they were there.

The people on the boat struggled for more than twenty minutes, but the number of white moths did not decrease at all.

Guo Qi, under pressure similar to Ning Qiang's, rushed into the driver's seat.

There were also quite a few white moths in the wheelhouse, and Captain Chang and several of his men were engaged in a fierce battle with them.

Guo Qi waved his hands: "Ooh... ooh... uh... uh... cough... cough..."

Captain Chang gestured wildly: "Uh...uh...oh...oh...ho...ho..."

It was all breathy sounds; not a single word had any Chinese meaning.

But both of them understood what the other was saying.

One of them said, "Set sail, set sail, get out of this damn place quickly."

Another suggestion is, "Okay, you go and weigh anchor, I'll start the ship."

Guo Qi set sail despite being covered in layers of white moths; the journey there was arduous, and the return trip was equally bumpy.

After the boat set sail, another twenty minutes passed, and by then only a handful of people were still fighting against the white moths.

Yang Chengang, Chen Hao, and Di Fei stood back to back, each waving a burning piece of firewood, confronting the white moths.

Most people covered their heads and curled up in a ball, thinking, "I can't win, so whatever."

The white moths used their extremely monotonous makeup skills to transform everyone on the ship into fat polar bears.

Even if there is a failure, more white moths will immediately fly over, defiantly creating breathtaking beauty.

With the ship's horn sounding, Ning Er Shao Ye, still soaking in the sea, cursed:

"Damn it, I haven't even boarded the ship yet, what ship are we talking about?"

He wanted to transform and follow them, but was afraid of being attacked by the terrifying white moths. He sneezed loudly and shook his head: "Let's wait a little longer."

Ah... Achoo... Achoo... Sniffing, I think I'm getting a cold!

He angrily slammed his fist down, sending up a spray of water. Damn it, bad luck! Even drinking cold water can cause problems.

The white moths formed a wall, obscuring the path so much that Captain Chang could only rely on his senses and head towards the places with fewer moths.
