Ever since Ah San became the new wolf king, Xiao Hao has been running around with Ah San all day long.
At first, Pei Nansheng and Zuo Ling asked about it, but after a few days, they stopped asking altogether.
Ah San has lived on the island since he was a child, so he knows best where the dangers are. He also has a gang of wolf-like followers, and Xiao Hao has the ability to kill without leaving a trace. No one on this island can hurt them anymore.
Since he was born, Xiao Hao has never experienced the life that a child should have. Since he likes it, let him be.
Without any constraints, Xiao Hao let the sheep roam freely, often going for days at a time.
One day, Ah San and Xiao Hao were fishing in a deep pool.
Ah San had been to this deep pool many times, but this was the first time he had brought Xiao Hao here.
The pool water was cool, and the silvery-white fish swam around leisurely. They didn't hide when they saw people and even foolishly approached them.
Ah San and Xiao Hao each had a wooden splinter in their hands, and they could easily stab several fish with it.
Nodding at the fish's head, Xiao Hao said, "Silly girl, we're about to eat you, and you're still trying to get closer."
Ah San had two fish stuck on each of his two wooden splinters. He shouted excitedly and gestured, asking Xiao Hao to grill fish for him.
He looked down on Xiao Hao when it came to fighting, but he really admired Xiao Hao's cooking skills.
Xiao Hao also liked to show off his cooking skills to A-San. The Wolf King liked to eat the food he prepared, which made Xiao Hao feel very accomplished.
Kill the fish, scale it, remove the innards, rub it with seasonings, and grill it on the grill. The aroma fills the air, making Ah San's mouth water.
Splash! A head popped out of the water.
Ah San had his back to the pool and didn't see it, but Xiao Hao bumped into that head face to face.
Xiao Hao jumped up, drew his gun, released the safety, and aimed—all in one fluid motion.
Ah San lives in the wild year-round and is very alert. Although he was a step behind, his posture when facing the enemy was almost synchronized with Xiao Hao's.
"No, no, no, don't shoot, don't shoot."
The person took off their diving mask and tried to force a friendly smile.
Chinese! On the cargo ship?
Xiao Hao had never seen him before, and his wariness increased further: "Who are you? Where are you from?"
"I……"
The visitor hesitated and said:
"I don't know where that is either. It should be an underground river in the mountains. Once we emerge, it will be right here."
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, the visitor missed asking "Who are you?"
Xiao Hao raised the gun barrel two inches and said with a mocking smile, "You're kidding me. You don't even know where you came from."
The visitor countered, "Then... excuse me, where is this?"
Xiao Hao choked. All he knew was that it was an island; he knew nothing else.
"Nameless Island".
Xiao Hao just blurted it out, regardless of where it was. He called it 'Nameless Island,' so it was Nameless Island.
"Nameless Island?" the man repeated. "Young man, surely you don't know where this is either?"
"Didn't I already tell you? Nameless Island." Xiao Hao said impatiently.
The man chuckled dryly and said, "Young man, you're right."
He held a specially made underwater signal flashlight in his hand, which emitted a blue light and circled in the distance.
A hundred meters away underwater, several dark figures lurked. Upon seeing the blue light, they swayed slightly, but quickly became still again.
Xiao Hao gripped the gun, his eyes flashing.
The newcomer scrambled ashore in a disheveled state, his nose twitching slightly, and his smile obsequious: "It smells so good."
Xiao Hao didn't respond, and continued to ask:
“I know everyone on the island. You’re not from the island. How long did it take you to swim from your place to here?”
My older brother and sister have been searching for a way out, and if they can get out through the underground river, that would be good news.
"Hmm, 1...1 day."
It really wasn't someone from the island. Xiao Hao was just bombing him. The island isn't too big or too small; you never know where someone might be.
The visitor's answer confirmed that he was indeed from outside.
"Dark rivers are dangerous. Why did you suddenly decide to explore them?"
His professional diving gear clearly indicates that he is not an ordinary person.
“We are short of supplies in our area, and there is less and less food available. We accidentally discovered an underground river and thought we would try our luck. Who knew we would end up here?”
The forest here is lush and green, with the sounds of insects and birds filling the air, which surprised the visitors.
"This is a blessed place; we're sure to find plenty of food here."
He licked his lips, making a greedy face.
He looked around at the scenery, while Xiao Hao looked him over. He was all muscle and didn't seem like someone who lacked supplies.
Hmph, you can't even fake it properly.
The Indian man disliked the look in the visitor's eyes; it was the look of someone wanting to take the island for themselves.
The island belongs to him; he will not allow others to covet it.
Ah San had the idea of killing the newcomer and let out a sharp whistling sound.
A gray shadow loomed as dozens of wolves darted out of the woods. The newcomer's eyes narrowed, and he took a few steps back, stepping onto the edge of the pool.
Ah San whistled, and the wolf minions all closed in on the newcomer. Seeing that things were not going well, the newcomer turned and plunged into the deep pool.
The water in the pool rippled, and in the blink of an eye, the figure disappeared.
Ah San spat into the pool water, saying, "You're lucky you ran fast."
Xiao Hao glanced at it coldly, his smile eerie.
He sneaked back to his companions, who gestured for him to wait until the wolves left before going up again, but found that his companions didn't react at all.
He nudged her, but there was still no response. A chill ran down his spine. He reached out and took off her diving mask. Her face was bluish-purple; she was already dead.
Then look at the others, they're all dead!
The man was terrified and frantically spun around in circles, searching for the enemy hiding in the shadows.
Xiao Hao plunged a knife into the fish, his smile widening, his eyes so cold they could freeze a person to death.
Ah San shuddered; he found Xiao Hao's smile rather eerie.
Looking again, he had a gentle, harmless appearance.
