Chapter 356 You Can't Escape

Zuo Ling was unconscious for more than two hours before slowly waking up, her consciousness still somewhat scattered.

The waterfall and the little wolf were fighting fiercely, kicking and slapping each other.

Upon discovering that Zuo Ling had woken up, the dog barked excitedly, startling the two little ones.

The waterfall pounced over, looking aggrieved, its little paws kicking towards Ah Si, as if to say, "The little wolf bullied me, please help me beat it up."

The villain accused first, and Ah Si felt wronged, whimpering softly. "I was letting the fat rabbit have its way. If I really beat it, it wouldn't stand a chance against me."

As her eyes gradually cleared, Zuo Ling ignored the three little ones and went to see Pei Nansheng immediately.

Pei Nansheng was pale and breathing weakly. Although Zuo Ling had used her healing ability to heal him, his injuries were too severe. If he hadn't worn a bulletproof vest beforehand, which had blocked most of the damage, he would have died on the spot.

Even so, some fragments of shrapnel remained embedded in Pei Nansheng's body.

Faced with such a difficult situation, Zuo Ling was at a loss, not knowing how to remove the shrapnel.

First, some space water was fed to Pei Nansheng. To their relief, Pei Nansheng's complexion improved slightly after drinking the space water.

They carefully helped him remove his outer clothes and bulletproof vest, which were soaked in blood and looked horrifying.

More than two hours later, she could still feel the dampness and humidity. Her brother's injury this time was for her, and Zuo Ling felt both heartache and guilt.

After cleaning the bloodstains off Pei Nansheng's body, Zuo Ling tried to calm herself down. She closed her eyes for a long time, then reached out and touched the wound, concentrating her mind to carefully sense the condition inside Pei Nansheng's body.

This was not easy for Zuo Ling, as she could not distinguish the structure of the human body. In the past, when she treated people's injuries, she simply used her vitality to nourish the damaged body organs.

But now, she needs to remove the shrapnel.

More than half an hour passed, and Zuo Ling's forehead was covered in sweat. A few metallic glints flashed in her senses. She let out a long breath and finally found it!

After taking a breath, I continued to examine the area with my mental energy. The tissues around the shrapnel were damaged to varying degrees, and there was also some blood stasis.

Pei Nansheng's breathing was short and rapid. He touched Pei Nansheng's forehead and found that Pei Nansheng had a fever. They couldn't delay any longer!

He took a deep breath, and two blue energy crystals appeared in his palm. He had long since run out of green energy crystals for healing abilities, so he could only use space-type energy crystals to improve his physical strength.

Zuo Ling was so busy treating Pei Nan that she forgot about the three little ones. The three little ones were hungry but didn't fuss; they obediently lay down beside her and watched.

An hour later, the energy crystal was fully absorbed, and Zuo Ling adjusted her condition to its best.

With her eyes closed, Zuo Ling sensed the location of one of the fragments, made a cut on the already healed wound, placed her hand on the wound, and slowly released energy. As the energy fluctuated, Zuo Ling could feel the shrapnel gradually loosening.

She carefully manipulated her supernatural power, trying to force the shrapnel out of her body. After a long while, with a thud, a blood-stained fragment fell to the ground.

Zuo Lingxin breathed a sigh of relief; she had finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel.

He ran his hand over the wound she had just made, and the wound was visibly healing.

Over the next few hours, Zuo Ling repeated the above actions again and again. When the last fragment was removed, she was so exhausted that she was almost collapsing.

He gulped down a large bottle of water from the space well, washed his hands, took out a roast chicken, and began to tear into it with gusto.

She finished a chicken in no time, feeling too hungry. Just as she was about to take another one, she saw three little ones staring at her longingly.

He gave an awkward laugh: "Um... I'm sorry, I was so busy treating my brother's injuries that I forgot about you guys."

I knew it! The waterfall rolled its eyes dramatically.

The dog barked a few times and jumped around a bit, shouting, "Quick, quick, quick, food, food! I'm starving!"

The little wolf wagged its tail modestly, thinking, "If they get to eat, I'll get to eat too. No rush."

Dog and Little Wolf each had a large bowl of meat bones, while Waterfall and Zuo Ling shared the roast chicken. The three of them, one person and three beasts, ate with great relish.

The Ding family's secret base was positioned to guard against enemy invasion.

Zuo Ling's feat of breaking through two doors with a single shot greatly frightened the Ding family, who had no idea how many more of these highly destructive firearms the siblings possessed.

However, Pei Nansheng being shot gave the Ding family confidence, leading them to speculate that Zuo Ling's prolonged absence might be due to her holding a funeral for Pei Nansheng.

Hahaha... The more they talked, the happier they became. They discussed how Zuo Ling couldn't possibly be carrying a corpse around, so where on which mountain could she bury Pei Nansheng?

Oh dear, that traitorous wolf cub! Burying him here is such a bad omen for the feng shui! We must dig him up and whip his corpse!

Whipping the corpse isn't enough to vent my anger, let's grind the bones to dust, hahaha... daydreaming always brings me joy.

Zuo Ling ate two more roujiamo (Chinese hamburgers) and downed a can of soda before feeling a little better.

When I went to see Pei Nansheng, his head was still a little hot, but his breathing was steady. He had finally survived the most dangerous hurdle.

She fed him some water from the spatial well and said quietly, "Brother, wait for me, I'll avenge you."

She took two steps and then turned back, afraid that if she left the space, Pei Nansheng would wake up and she would be expelled from the space again.

After thinking for a moment, she remembered the several anesthetic drugs she had obtained from the Pyu people. She took out a silk handkerchief, applied a little of each drug, and covered Pei Nansheng's mouth and nose. Pei Nansheng frowned uncomfortably, tilted his head to one side, and remained still. Zuo Ling didn't know if it had worked.

It should...maybe, it might work a little.

If all else fails, go and come back quickly.

As soon as it left the space, the sharp-tailed swallow was immediately detected by the laser alarm device, and a piercing alarm sounded throughout the valley.

Zuo Ling used the lightning speed of a swallow with pointed tails. After several exchanges, she had identified several of the enemy's firing points and threw grenades at them.
