Just as Zuo Ling was about to raise the price, someone walked by.
When guests arrived, Brother Bai turned on his flashlight.
The person picked up the pendant and bracelet and smiled:
"Brother Bai, don't be angry. She didn't buy a pendant or bracelet, she bought the material."
The person who came was Old Dai.
Old Dai nodded to Zuo Ling and said to Brother Bai:
"Brother Bai, this little girl is quite interesting when it comes to picking things out. Old Chang is over there, why don't you take a look and give him your opinion?"
Old Chang is here!
Bai Ge's puzzled gaze swept over the two of them twice.
Bai, Chang, and Dai have been in the industry for many years and know each other well. It's not easy for Lao Dai to find something interesting.
Without asking any further questions, he gathered up the large piece of cloth and prepared to pack up his stall.
"Wait, twelve thousand it is, I'll buy it."
Zuo Ling stopped him.
There's no way to snag a bargain; I'll just have to grit my teeth and buy it at a high price.
Brother Bai: "..."
He doesn't want to sell anymore, so there must be something wrong with the fact that he managed to attract Chang and Dai.
Old Dai laughed: "Brother Bai, this little girl is quite clever."
Zuo Ling felt like she was going to vomit blood. Damn it! She's definitely going to get what's coming to her today.
Turning away, he regretted it just as much; Zuo Ling's face was as black as ink.
Without even looking, I knew what color Zuo Ling's face was.
Old Dai felt as refreshed as if he had eaten an iced watermelon, which relieved a lot of his afternoon frustration.
She pointed out 12,000 yuan and forced it on Brother Bai, then held out her hand, saying, "This is for you."
If the customer's offer is inappropriate and there's no second option, Brother Bai has no reason not to sell.
He hesitated for a moment, but still followed the rules and gave the pendant bracelet to Zuo Ling.
The item had been in his hands for quite some time, but he hadn't found a place where it could be worth more. Could it be that he misjudged it?
The two followed Lao Dai to an open space where people were already waiting.
Old Chang looked like someone who sat in an office all year round; he was of medium build, slightly overweight, and had a rather imposing presence.
The group nodded in acknowledgment, without exchanging pleasantries.
Chang and Dai dumped the four sacks of goods they had brought onto the spread-out hard plastic.
Bai Ge's eyelids twitched. He brought out all the stockings he had worn for years.
Curiosity instantly spiked to its maximum.
Zuo Ling squatted in front of the pile of jade stones, trying to gather her strength, but didn't choose one right away.
To Chang Daidao:
"These are all items from the warehouse. I spent ages choosing, and you offered me a price I can't accept. Haven't I wasted my time?"
Old Dai chuckled softly, and said to Bai Changdao:
"Am I right? This little girl is shrewd; she's afraid we'll play tricks on her."
"No matter how many you choose, the maximum is 100,000, how about that?"
Old Dai explained the afternoon's events in detail, which piqued Old Chang's curiosity, leading him to reveal all the secrets he had accumulated over decades.
Although they are all leftover scraps, they can still be made into small trinkets with some craftsmanship and are worth some money.
Zuo Ling immediately cut the price in half: "50,000, take it or leave it."
Zuo Ling would rather give up the opportunity than be made a fool of.
Old Chang doesn't lack those tens of thousands of yuan; he's more interested in the secrets hidden within the jade.
He said magnanimously, "50,000 it is, take your pick."
Zuo Ling felt relieved; Bai Changdai and the other two were worldly-wise and wouldn't need to lie to her.
After borrowing a flashlight from Brother Bai, Zuo Ling quickly and efficiently began picking through the items.
Old Chang's inventory was much better than Old Dai's. Zuo Ling picked out seven or eight pieces in no time, as if she were finding treasures.
She picked one piece, and the three of them looked at it together.
Not only did he look at it, but he also solemnly took out a three-in-one jade flashlight and a high-magnification magnifying glass to examine it carefully.
After looking at it for a long time, they were completely confused and looked at each other in bewilderment.
To say that Zuo Ling made a random choice is an overstatement; judging from her expression, it's definitely not true.
Zuo Ling didn't hesitate for a moment, and her move was steady, accurate, and ruthless.
If you want it, you want it; if you don't want it, you don't want it. At most, you can flip through the pages a couple of times.
To say she didn't choose randomly is an exaggeration; she used the most ordinary flashlight, the kind that's just enough to provide light but can't be used to identify jade.
The three men had been in the jade business for many years and were very confident in their professional skills. It would be one thing if one person couldn't tell the difference, but it was a bit odd that all three of them couldn't tell the difference.
There are two possibilities: the little girl is either mentally ill, or she has superhuman eyesight and can see things that others cannot.
But what family would feel comfortable leaving tens of thousands of yuan on a mentally ill person?
Tens of thousands of yuan is nothing to Bai Changdai and the other two, but for an ordinary family, it's enough for a year's living expenses.
After spending more than an hour choosing, Zuo Ling selected 28 pieces.
Fearing that Lao Chang might change his mind, he simply took out 50,000 yuan, said no more, and turned to leave.
"Hey, hey, hey, little girl, why are you running so fast?"
Old Chang quickly called her to a stop.
Old Dai chuckled with delight:
"She's afraid you won't keep your word, so she'd better leave first."
Zuo Ling stood with her feet in a T-shape, staring at Lao Chang, ready to run away at any moment.
Just kidding, the money's been paid, so the crystal is hers now. She can't take it away.
Old Chang took out a wad of cash and returned it to Zuo Ling:
"Keep two pieces, and take the rest."
He was not giving up and wanted to find a colleague to take another look.
If people have doubts, it's understandable that they would keep two pieces.
Zuo Ling knew she had gotten a huge advantage and didn't want to offend them, so she picked out two green pieces, which weren't of very good quality, and gave them to him.
He took back the 10,000 yuan, thanked her, and left quickly.
After Zuo Ling left, the three of them used professional flashlights and high-powered magnifying glasses, busy for a long time, but still couldn't figure it out.
"Maybe we're overthinking it, and she really has run into a lunatic. Or maybe she guessed we wouldn't let her take everything, and left us two worthless pieces."
There was too much uncertainty in Lao Chang's tone.
Zuo Ling's mind was filled with energy crystals; she never even considered taking a few to trick them.
They picked out a whole bunch of things, some real and some fake, and there was no way Bai Changdai and the other two would let her take them.
