The Zhao family members entered the teleportation array. One of them had just had his supernatural abilities forcibly awakened by the old man less than three months ago.
Although he had just awakened his superpower, it was a one-in-a-million metal-type superpower, which perfectly matched the Five Elements Binding God Array.
Because he had just awakened his superpower and his physical strength had not been enhanced, as soon as he entered the formation, he felt his body being squeezed by a tremendous force, and countless tentacles were pulling at him. His eardrums hurt as if they had been pierced, and blood flowed from his seven orifices. In less than a few breaths, everything went black and he fainted.
The other four were also in a bad mood, like fish out of water, mouths agape, looking like they couldn't breathe.
The scenery before your eyes recedes rapidly, as if you are entering a time tunnel. The omnipresent, immense force compresses and pulls, causing your facial muscles to contort. Your heart feels as if it is being tightly gripped by a giant hand. In just over half a minute, it feels like an eternity to everyone.
Thump, thump, thump...
The group fell into the pool, not caring about anything else. They floated on their backs, gasping for breath to relieve their discomfort.
The metal-elemental superpowered disciple was still unconscious and sinking. A member of the Zhao family reached out and grabbed him, cursing:
"It's so... so damn uncomfortable."
Another member of the Zhao family, listless and weak:
"Damn it, we haven't even caught the person yet, and I'm already half dead."
The other two were too weak to speak, their eyes closed, their faces pale.
Half an hour had passed by the time the group recovered.
One of them said, "We only have 12 hours in total, so we need to hurry."
The metal-type superpowered disciple was still in a dazed state; while others were half-dead, he was mostly dead.
But everyone knows that time waits for no one, so they have to grit their teeth and finish the task.
The group dived into the water. The experience of the previous group of Zhao family members served as a reminder to the newcomers. When they reached the outlet of the pool, they did not rush to get out, but instead held their breath and carefully observed the surrounding situation.
Several wolves were lounging lazily, some sitting, some lying down, while two others were intimately engaged in something indescribable.
Three months have passed without any movement, and the wolf cubs have become complacent. Most of the wolves assigned to guard the exit have run off somewhere, and only a few obedient ones are still guarding the place.
The group used their individual skills and, without much effort, wiped out all the wolves guarding the pool entrance.
"Haha, if all goes well, we can even have a wolf meat feast before going back."
"This place is nice; we should be able to find plenty of food here."
The lush greenery on the island astonished the group, who couldn't take it all in. While the outside world was barren, this place was verdant and lush.
How long has it been since they've seen green? If I could, I really wouldn't want to go back.
One person smacked their lips:
"If there are wolves, there should be other food. Hurry up and get to work. Once we're done, we can scavenge and try to bring back as much food as possible."
The Zhao family had stored up some supplies, but they had almost run out over the years.
As people with superpowers, they were treated well by the Zhao family; they were just enough to make ends meet, and that was all they could ask for.
If we can bring back a large amount of food, it will be a great achievement.
One person chimed in:
"I'm afraid we can't bring it back. Even we can't withstand the teleportation array, let alone a mortal body."
The others: "..."
Forgot about that, and all the excitement vanished instantly.
"Alright, let's get to work first, and then we'll talk."
A mournful howl drew everyone's attention to a spot several dozen meters away.
There stood a half-grown wolf cub, looking for its mother. Before it even got close, it spotted a familiar figure lying silently in the grass.
The little wolf knew what that meant, and it glared at the group resentfully.
A thorny vine lunged at the wolf cub, but the cub neither dodged nor avoided it, letting the vine drag it to the group.
The Wood element disciple chuckled:
"Hey, a little wolf cub has arrived. Let's dry it out in a bit, then we should be able to take it back."
"Alright, hurry up, stop dawdling. If you delay any longer, it's uncertain whether you'll even be able to get back."
Among them, fire-based abilities were the strongest, and they all obeyed him.
The Wood element disciple curled his lip and made a slapping motion towards the little wolf:
"You little brat, you dare to glare at me? Don't you know you're about to be eaten?"
The little wolf whimpered twice, its eyes fixed on the wood-type offspring. It wasn't afraid; it had already informed the wolf king, who would avenge it and its mother.
Ah San is eating roast chicken at Zuo Ling's house; he can devour two in one sitting.
After finishing one wolf and just as he was about to take another, a wolf howled. The Indian man's expression changed, and he stood up abruptly, listening intently.
The wind rustled through the leaves, and apart from the soft chirping of insects and birds, there was no other sound.
Seeing that his expression was off, Xiao Hao asked, "What's wrong?"
Ah San didn't answer and darted into the woods, with Xiao Hao following after him.
As the Zhao family members dripped their essence blood onto their respective Five Elements Binding God Stones, unidentified patterns suddenly appeared on the originally smooth stones.
Just as they were about to examine it closely, the stone had already turned into specks of starlight and disappeared into the ground.
The eerie blood-red patterns spread little by little, the color becoming more and more vivid, so vivid that it seemed to drip blood.
Thousands of miles away, in a secluded mountain cave in Sichuan, a maniacal laugh echoed from an old man:
"Hahahaha... We've finally waited for this moment."
Inside the cave, on a stone bed, sat an old man who was as thin as a skeleton.
On the stone wall in front of him, three heart-shaped objects were hanging.
One of them, like a human heart, beats up and down, thump, thump, thump, thump... each beat powerfully.
As it pulsed, its color changed from black to red, gradually brightening.
The old man gently clapped his hands, and the heart-shaped object, as if summoned, flew out thin threads like capillaries and pierced the old man's major acupoints.
