Ji Yueyao took a light breath and zipped up her coat. After all, her clothes were barely enough to cover her body, and if a couple more pieces of cloth fell off during the fight, she figured she'd lose all her strength.

What the hell? Ji Yueyao was a little confused. She quickly took a step back and turned to dodge the arrow's attack. But the arrow suddenly changed direction and struck her face at very close range. At the same time, the arrow tip flashed silver, and a bolt of lightning struck the left side of Ji Yueyao's eye.
Everything distorted before her eyes in an instant. Ji Yueyao stared at the arrow being sucked into her warped space, staggered back a step, and raised her hand to cover her bleeding left cheek. Fortunately, she had used her supernatural ability in time to block the entire arrow from her view, but a small streak of lightning still struck her face.
