Chapter Sixteen: The Baby is Helpless

"What are you so surprised about?" Wei Kang frowned as he looked at Ji Yueyao's stunned expression.

"Huh?" Ji Yueyao snapped out of her daze and stared blankly at Wei Kang. "I just found out too. Can't I be surprised for a moment?"

"..." Wei Kang was speechless. "This isn't the time to worry about that. You have a weak constitution? I didn't notice at all?"

Wei Kang rubbed his neck, which was sore from Ji Yueyao's pinch, and developed deep doubts about the documents in his hand.

"I don't know either," Ji Yueyao said somewhat disappointedly. "A weak constitution is simply not suitable for this world. All my efforts over the years have been in vain."

"Wasted effort?" Wei Kang couldn't stand Ji Yueyao's dejected appearance. He glared at her and said, "You used to be able to fight me without even touching my clothes, but now you can choke me. You think your efforts were wasted?"

"Don't be so violent, okay?" Ji Yueyao looked up and glared at Wei Kang, but knowing that her constitution was weak still made her very unhappy.

However, weak-type characters are quite rare. Is it because I'm weak-type because I traveled from another world?

Ji Yueyao scratched his head, feeling somewhat irritated.

"Ji Yueyao." Ji Tiehan was clearly surprised that Ji Yueyao herself didn't know her own constitution. He rubbed his temples and looked up at Ji Yueyao's disappointed expression, saying, "You must remember, in this world, there is no such thing as whether you can do it or not, only whether you are willing to do it or not. You have been training with me for so long, and I have never thought that you are a person with a weak constitution."

"I didn't think so either," Wei Kang said, pursing his lips.

"I understand." Ji Yueyao looked up and gratefully looked at Ji Tiehan and Wei Kang. "I will try my best."

That's right. The book says that people with weak constitutions all die before the age of ten. But she's different from the people born and raised in this world. She comes from another time and space, so perhaps the weak constitution isn't so terrifying for her.

"Hey, woman, stop looking at people with that disgusting gaze, okay?" Wei Kang felt very uncomfortable.

"Disgusting?" Ji Yueyao gritted her teeth, then quickly withdrew her grateful gaze and glared back fiercely. She must be blind to be grateful to him. "Don't you have any manners?!"

"Come on, woman. Politeness is something you have to show to people." Wei Kang crossed his arms and glanced disdainfully at Ji Yueyao.

"you!"

Seeing the two about to fight again, Ji Tiehan sighed helplessly. They were fine just now, how did things turn out like this again? It seems that there is no possibility of these two enemies getting along peacefully.

......

"Aqi, what's wrong?" Ji Yueyao rubbed her thigh and had just walked upstairs when she saw Kaqi sitting at the door with a frown, seemingly deep in thought.

"Yueyao, you're back." Kaqi saw Ji Yueyao stand up, turned around and handed her a bottle of water. "You've been in the training area for so long, it must have been tough. I'm amazed you managed to persevere."

Over the past month, Ji Yueyao and Kaqi have gotten to know each other quite well, and now their relationship is pretty good.

"Ah, it was only by holding my breath that I was able to persevere." Ji Yueyao sat lazily on Kaqi's bed, yawning wearily. Now, whenever she went out and saw that big man who had told her that she couldn't even last three days, she felt particularly good. How to put it, that big man's expression was really cute.

"By the way, what were you thinking about just now? Did something happen? You look so worried."

Kachi sighed, "Wu Qianqian hasn't come back for over a month, and there's been no news of her. How can we not worry?"

"I don't think your relationship is that great." Ji Yueyao yawned. She remembered that the two of them were arguing the day she arrived.

“We used to get along pretty well,” Kachi sighed, “but ever since…”

"Since?" Ji Yueyao raised an eyebrow, looking at Kaqi with great interest.

Kachi shook her head. "Ever since Xiao Yaru left here with a man, Wu Qianqian has changed. She always feels like everyone has wronged her."

"Xiao Yaru?" Ji Yueyao sat up, lowered her eyes and thought about the name, then realized it sounded familiar. "Right, she was your former roommate, right?"

"Hmm." Kaqi seemed unwilling to mention Xiao Yaru anymore, and put on her coat to go out.

"Hey, wait a minute, where are you going?" Ji Yueyao stopped Kaqi when she saw that she was all ready to go. "It's getting dark."

“I’ll go to where Wu Qianqian works and look for her.” Kaqi frowned and glanced at Ji Yueyao.

Ji Yueyao looked outside speechlessly, "It's already so dark, let's look for it during the day."

“I have to work during the day,” Kachi said, clearly troubled.

After thinking for a moment, Ji Yueyao picked up a cookie from the side and ate it all in one go. "In that case, I'll go with you."

Her appetite is astonishing right now; usually, two packs of biscuits are enough to fill her up. Although she's a bit thin, there's nothing seriously wrong with her.

Kaqi looked at Ji Yueyao with a complicated expression.

"Forget it, you're already exhausted from training."

"It's nothing." Ji Yueyao shook her head, stood up and walked outside. However, her legs, which had just rested for a while, started to go numb in protest. She gritted her teeth and endured it.

What kind of hardship haven't I endured here? I can't just let Kaqi go out alone late at night, can I? Yao Lin said it's really chaotic here at night.

"Then let's go." Kachi looked at Ji Yueyao helplessly, a slight smile playing on her lips. "I don't think it's possible for you not to go."

"That's right." Ji Yueyao nodded smugly, her confidence evident. She had learned a lot in the training area and was no longer the clueless person she was when she first arrived.

She still missed her family very much... Ji Yueyao looked up at a wallet placed on her bed and sighed slightly.

The two walked downstairs. The dark stairwell was eerie and terrifying, but they didn't have any extra points to exchange for a flashlight, so they could only walk in the dark.

Kaqi didn't care, but Ji Yueyao, although she used to like some disgusting movies, had no interest in ghost movies.

Holding Kaqi's arm tightly, Ji Yueyao accepted her teasing gaze with an open and honest attitude. What could she possibly do? She was just too afraid of ghosts.

The two left their accommodation and headed straight for the South District.

"Are we going to the South District?" Ji Yueyao asked, frowning as she looked at the small shops around her with their doors tightly closed.

Kachi nodded, but didn't say anything.

"Where in the South District?" Ji Yueyao looked back at the building where she lived. Since arriving at the Xiyu Base, she hadn't been to the South District yet.

“Bar,” Kaczy whispered.

"Dad?" Ji Yueyao looked completely bewildered. "What dad?"
