The sun is out

The sun is out

I don’t know if it was because of the weather, but the mood of several people was inexplicably lifted, and they walked towards the ward talking and laughing.

When they opened the door of the room, the three found that the window was open and the sunflower pot was placed next to the windowsill.

Lu Heng stared at the sunflower with some curiosity.

"Hey, where did this sunflower come from?"

Lu Heng took a small step forward, looking left and right.

After Qiao Ya and Shen Xi closed the door, they followed in.

The two of them sat on the sofa, and Shen Xi put the computer on the table before answering him.

"It was planted by Xianqing. This is the only one left. Don't damage it."

Lu Heng looked at the sunflowers and didn't expect that someone like Xian Qing could grow flowers.

He didn't continue looking at the sunflower, but walked over and sat next to Shen Xi.

"Did he grow anything else?"

Chen Xi stared at the computer and answered without looking away, "He originally planted a large patch, but he said it seemed to be sick and all died, leaving only this one."

Lu Heng nodded and didn't ask about Sunflower anymore. Seeing that she was still working on her thesis, he began to give her guidance.

Qiao Ya didn't join in their conversation. She looked around but didn't see Xian Qing, so she thought of taking out her phone to ask.

"Um..."

A subtle sound came into Qiao Ya's ears. She first glanced at Chen Xi and Lu Heng and found that the sound was not made by them.

While she was still confused, Qiao Ya suddenly stood up, walked quickly to the bedside, bent down and took Bai Xindie's hand.

Chen Xi and Lu Heng were startled by Qiao Ya. They followed her figure with their eyes and then heard Qiao Ya's trembling voice.

"Heart Flute? Little Flute?"

Qiao Ya called out twice, but there was still no movement from the person on the hospital bed. The oxygen mask had been taken off a few days ago, and Bai Xindie's breathing was steady as if she was asleep.

Qiao Ya's eyes unconsciously turned red.

When Chen Xi and Lu Heng saw Qiao Ya like this, they thought that Bai Xindi had woken up. With a smile on their faces, they immediately got up and walked to the other side of the bed.

Standing beside the bed, their faces fell, but Bai Xindie still didn't wake up.

Shen Xi unconsciously grabbed Lu Heng's arm, as if looking for some comfort.

"White Heart Flute..."

Qiao Ya did not give up. She firmly believed that she heard voices other than those of the three people, and they were very subtle.

Shen Xi also shouted softly.

"Sister Xindi."

Lu Heng looked at Bai Xindi and felt bad. Bai Xindi had been sleeping for more than a week.

Several people just looked at Bai Xindi in silence.

How much Qiao Ya hoped that the voice she heard was real.

But after an unknown amount of time, Bai Xindi still didn't call her "Yaya".

She didn't know how long it had been since she heard the sound of Bai Xindi.

Chen Xi pulled Lu Heng back to the sofa with a disappointed look on his face, and Qiao Ya also put Bai Xindie's hand back into the quilt.

The three of them sat back on the sofa, and Qiao Ya had forgotten that she was going to call Xian Qing in the first place.

Shen Xi was no longer in the mood to read the paper. She leaned on Lu Heng's shoulder and stared at the bed. Lu Heng also kept her company.

There was no sound in the ward again, but the sun was out and the chirping of birds could be heard outside the window, making the ward look not so depressing.

After a while, Xian Qing came back from outside.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw the sunflowers on the windowsill, and then he saw Chen Xi, Lu Heng, and Qiao Ya looking at the bed quietly.

Xian Qing walked in and asked, "When did you come?"

Qiao Ya said, "A little after eight o'clock."

Xian Qing nodded, walked to the window, and looked down at the sunflower. This one was really tenacious. Although it also showed the early symptoms of wilt disease, it did not directly worsen.

He raised his head and looked out the window. It might be because of the sun.

However, when he went out, the sun had not yet risen and the window was not opened.

Not knowing what he thought of, Xian Qing found a disposable cup and went to the bathroom to fill it with some water.

Then he moved the sunflower down from the windowsill, placed it on the table in front of the three of them, and slowly began to water it. Then he spoke without raising his head.

"Chen Xi, when I was taking care of the sunflower before, didn't I remind you not to just leave it in the sun?"

“Ah…ah?”

Chen Xi looked at Xian Qing watering the sunflowers in confusion, "What are you talking about?"

After watering, Xian Qing glanced at her and put the sunflower back on the windowsill.

"Didn't you put it there?"

Shen Xi finally realized what he was talking about, "Isn't it you?"

Xian Qing turned around and looked at Chen Xi blankly.

"It was still dark when I went out."

"ah?"

Chen Xi was even more confused.

Xian Qing then asked about Qiao Ya again.

"Sister Qiao, was it you who put it there?"

Qiao Ya also shook her head. Seeing Xian Qing's puzzled expression, she explained, "The three of us came here together. Sunflower was already on the windowsill when we came in."

After she finished speaking, she immediately reacted and spoke nervously.

"Has anyone come in here?!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the three people who were sitting stood up suddenly. Xian Qing also had some nervousness on his face and quickly walked to Bai Xindie's bed to check.

An uneasy mood instantly spread in the ward. Qiao Ya quickly took out her cell phone and called Bai Jingxing to ask if he had been there.

"I didn't go today, what happened?"

Qiao Ya briefly explained the situation, and Bai Jingxing was so scared that he immediately packed up and rushed to the hospital.

Qiao Ya and the other two stayed in the ward waiting for Bai Jingxing, while Xian Qing went to check the surveillance footage on this floor.

About ten minutes later, Bai Jingxing appeared in the ward.

"Is Xindi okay?"

The three of them shook their heads at the same time. They called a doctor to check and confirmed that there was nothing wrong.

At this time, Xian Qing also came back with the surveillance news.

Xian Qing closed the door and talked as he walked.

"No one except us has been in or out of the ward."

Private hospitals respect the privacy of their patients, especially in independent wards like Bai Xindie's, so the only surveillance cameras are those outside the corridor.

Therefore, the news that Xian Qing mentioned is equivalent to nothing. I am afraid that it slipped in from a blind spot that the surveillance camera could not see.

The five people searched the room at the same time as if they had transmitted their brain waves.

Under the bed, behind the door, in the bathroom, on the toilet, they even wanted to break down the wall to see what happens.

At this moment, Shen Xi suddenly shouted.

"window!"

She suddenly remembered that the window was open when they arrived.

When the five people heard this, they all left the places they wanted to check and swarmed towards the window. The scene was a bit funny.

Qiao Ya was squeezed to the front, and was afraid that the sunflowers planted by Xian Qing would be squeezed down by them, so she immediately hugged them to protect them, and then spoke sternly.

"etc!"

"I'm going to be squeezed to death."

When the other four heard the sound, they moved away embarrassedly.

Qiao Ya put the sunflower back on the windowsill, took a deep breath, moved her head to the window, then looked down and realized how funny they were.

Qiao Ya retracted her head, turned around to look at them, and spoke helplessly.

"We were so nervous."

A rare look of embarrassment appeared on Xian Qing's face.

Qiao Ya continued, "We are on the 20th floor. If you want to come in, you have to..."

Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by a hoarse and laughing voice.

"You need wings to get in from there."

This sound...

The five of them stood there in a daze, no one dared to move, and Qiao Ya was the only one facing the bed.

She saw it.

"Ah Qing."

"Yaya."

"elder brother."

"Shen Xi."

"And Mr. Lu."

The familiar voice appeared again. They did not have auditory hallucinations. Except for Qiao Ya, the other five people moved their bodies stiffly.

The moment they turned around and stood still, the six people's eyes were covered with a layer of white mist, and their vision gradually became blurred.

Bai Xindie was still lying on the bed, but her head was slightly tilted towards them. Her eyes, which had not been opened for a long time, were now shining in the sunlight, and there was a slightly tired smile on her face.

Bai Xindi slept for eight days and finally woke up.

Chen Xi was the first to burst into tears, followed by Qiao Ya who cried with joy. Lu Heng and Bai Jingxing turned their faces away, but tears still slid down their faces.

Only Xian Qing was there. He stared blankly at Bai Xindie, then the corner of his mouth curled up and tears flowed from the corner of his left eye.

Bai Xindi had never seen Xian Qing like this before. She was stunned for a moment, and a sad feeling spread throughout the cells of her body. She slowly closed her eyes, and her beautiful fox eyes were also soaked with tears.
