Chapter 37 Song Shiwei vs. the Xia Family

Chapter 37 Song Shiwei vs. the Xia Family

A few days ago, Song Shiwei bought herself a car, spending 40,000 yuan to buy a mini princess car that can be driven by both electric and gasoline engines, which netizens jokingly call "chopped pepper fish head".

But Song Shiwei loves her little car very much, and even bought it a new outfit: the latest pink Cardcaptor Sakura skin, with all the seat cushions in Barbie pink. When she drives it, you might mistake it for someone's child's toy car on the road.

The car is convenient to go anywhere; it can squeeze into any available space, it couldn't be more convenient.

Song Shiwei drove her princess-themed car to the city's most luxurious upscale neighborhood. Her car looked out of place, and the security guards at the entrance had to check her several times before letting her in.

“You’re rich, but the security guard at the gate is a snob and won’t let you in. I just heard him cursing us behind our backs.”

Song Shiwei muttered to herself, referring to her car as Hao Youcai.

The car drove into the Xia family's luxurious estate and finally stopped in front of the villa.

As soon as Song Shiwei got out of the car, she saw Butler Liu accompanying Old Master Xia out.

"Grandpa, you called me here, but what are you doing here?"

"I have work to do. Go in by yourself; they're waiting for you."

Old Xia looked relaxed and smiled as he looked at Song Shiwei. "They're giving me a headache. Go and teach them a lesson."

"You're being really unfair! One against many, aren't you afraid they'll eat me alive?" Song Shiwei twirled her keychain with her finger.

“I see you fight hard on TV, and you don’t seem like a timid person in real life either. Grandpa believes in you.”

"Just you wait and see, this whole family needs to be taught a lesson. What kind of manners do they have? Making such a grown man go out to earn money to support the family is just too unfair!"

Old Xia couldn't help but laugh. As he walked down the steps, he frowned when he saw the car behind Song Shiwei.

"Why did you buy such a... car that doesn't suit your status?"

Song Shiwei guessed he probably meant the broken car, and explained with a worried look, "What can I do? I don't have any money. Which member of the Xia family doesn't have hundreds of millions in their pocket? I can't even take out a million."

"Who told you not to come back and live here?"

At the time, Old Master Xia wanted Song Shiwei to return to the Xia family manor, but Song Shiwei didn't want to face several dead faces every day, which would shorten her life by decades.

So Mr. Xia bought her a house outside, just for her convenience in commuting to and from get off work. He didn't give her much money, intending to make her admit defeat and compromise. Unexpectedly, this girl was quite stubborn.

The procedures for allocating funds have been completed recently. Old Xia turned to look at Butler Liu, who immediately understood.

"Miss, your assets and company shares have all been settled. I will send you the electronic contract later. If there are no problems, you can sign it."

Song Shiwei's eyes widened immediately. "Oh my god, no, oh my grandpa! I love you so much!"

"Forget about love or not, once you accept it, you're a member of the Xia family, and you can never leave the Xia family in this lifetime."

Old Xia's sharp eyes met Song Shiwei's gaze across the distance. Song Shiwei suddenly felt a chill run down her spine, sensing that the old man was too shrewd and seemed to have seen through her intention not to have too much connection with the Xia family.

Old Master Xia still had work to do, so he went out with Butler Liu.

Song Shiwei pushed open the villa's door and glanced into the spacious hall. Wow! It looked like a grand trial.

Xia Zhiqing sat in the middle, like a proud little princess, her eyes rolling back and forth as if she had a seizure.

Xia's parents sat on either side of Xia Zhiqing, carefully coaxing her, while her two older brothers stood on either side of the sofa with their arms crossed, like two brainless but competent bodyguards.

"Why were you calling me so frantically yesterday? Did a thief break into your house, or are you missing me terribly?"

"Song Shiwei, I told you to come back with me yesterday, why didn't you come back! You didn't answer my calls, what do you want!" Xia Zhilang was furious, probably because he felt he had lost face yesterday.

"What do I want? I want to ignore you, can't you tell?"

"you!"

"Weiwei, your brothers are just worried about you. How can you be so willful!" Xia's mother looked at Song Shiwei with some reproach.

"Really? What's wrong? Let me hear it?" Song Shiwei asked curiously.

Xia's mother paused, unsure how to answer the question.

"Stop talking to her about those useless things!" Xia Zhiming looked at Song Shiwei impatiently.

"Song Shiwei, although you have returned to the Xia family, it does not mean that you can act lawlessly or bully Zhiqing!"

"You're trying to pin this huge accusation on me? Xia Zhiqing learned this from you, didn't she? Look at this, like father, like son!"

Song Shiwei sat opposite the family with her arms crossed, legs crossed, and kept shaking them.

“We’ve all seen your performance on the show. We know exactly how you bullied Zhiqing!” Xia Zhilang said, venting his anger.

"I can understand if you're not very bright, after all, your brain might be full of shit, but why are your eyesight so bad too? Can't you afford glasses?"

"Song Shiwei! How can you speak like a lady from a respectable family!"

"Put aside your personal ethics and enjoy a life of immorality. I have no manners, so I just want to curse you."

"you!"

Xia Zhilang and Xia Zhiming, two grown men, were so angry with Song Shiwei that their brows were contorted with rage, as if they could trap a fly between them, but they couldn't win an argument with her.

“Weiwei, we know you suffered a lot when you were young, so you may not have received a good education, but Zhiqing is different…” Xia’s mother tried to smooth things over, but Song Shiwei interrupted her directly.

“Xia Zhiqing is different. Although she has received a good education, she is just as uncultured and has no conscience.”

"Song Shiwei, your father, mother, and brother are all doing this for your own good! Can't you see your own problems?!" Xia Zhiqing angrily accused her loudly.

"I should pass this sentence on to you verbatim. You were the one who kept stirring up trouble on the show, and you also sent online trolls to smear me. The day before yesterday was no exception. You deliberately framed me."

Every single thing you've done has been to hurt me, but why do you see me as the perpetrator?

Song Shiwei looked at her family members across from her with a mocking gaze. "I don't expect you to treat me like family. Just don't disgust me in front of me."

"Weiwei, what you're saying is a bit harsh," Xia's father said sternly, reprimanding her.

“You are our biological daughter, that’s for sure, but Zhiqing is someone we’ve watched grow up. She’s more than our own daughter. We love both of you, and we’d be sad if either of you suffered any injustice.”

"If that's the case, then why clench your fist to protect your palm, while injuring the back of your hand?"

A cold, mocking voice rang out from the doorway. Chi Yanzhou stood with his arms crossed against the wall, a faint sneer on his lips, having stood there for an unknown amount of time.
