Lady Ding yelled sharply, "Then search! Who’s afraid! This nonsense, my Xiulan is such a noble person, how could you defame her at your leisure! Xiulan, don’t be afraid, mother will protect you, no one can bully you!"
But Ji Xiulan just stood there pale-faced and silent, her face filled with a look of horror, as if she hadn’t heard Lady Ding’s words at all.
Looking at Ji Xiulan’s reaction, Lady Ding paused in confusion for a moment, "Xiulan, Xiulan, say something."
Ji Xiulan quickly reacted, shaking her head rapidly: "No, no, it’s not with me, I don’t have this thing!"
Perhaps due to her nervousness, she instinctively tightened her sleeve cuff and stepped backwards.
A sharp-eyed woman nearby saw throught her and sneered, "Looking at you, it appears that you’re acting rather nervously, Girl Xiulan. Afraid that your secret might be revealed?"
Lady Ding almost jumped out of her skin, "Nonsense! Xiulan is innocent! You can’t falsely accuse me!"
Upon seeing Xiulan tightly gripped her sleeve, Ji Xinhe guessed that she might still be carrying the golden lock. It could even be hidden in her sleeve. After all, it was such a precious item, she had just acquired it and wouldn’t want to leave it at home. It would naturally be carried with her.
Ji Xinhe winked at the woman, who usually had some arguments with Lady Ding. Seeing Ji Xiulan’s imminent trouble, she gleefully bumped into Ji Xiulan on purpose.

Lady Jin twisted her hand around Ji Xiulan’s arm, "Then explain what’s this all about!"
Ji Xiulan then seemed to understand something, she pointed at Ji Xinhe and screamed, "It was her, she framed me! It was the shameless Ji Xinhe who did it all on purpose! She’s the one who’s having an affair with Porky San, not me!"
Ji Xinhe chuckled coldly, "The token of love has been found, and you say I am falsely accusing you? Now that it seems that Sister Xiulan was forced to accept it by me? Who is falsely accusing whom, is still uncertain!"
"Shut up! You mean person! How could I possibly have anything to do with Porky San? It was you, it was you who plotted against me!" Ji Xiulan was so angry that she forgot her usual ladylike demeanor, just like her mother, and started screaming.
The villagers couldn’t help but frown. Ji Xiulan usually held a respectable and ladylike appearance, keeping herself aloof and superior. Today, however, she was no better than her brash mother.
Lady Ding also started chiming in, "Exactly! My daughter would never have anything to do with Porky San, it must be Ji Xinhe causing trouble, it must be her! Wasn’t there an eyewitness? Wang Er Ya, didn’t you see Ji Xinhe fooling around with Porky San with your own eyes? This girl is talking nonsense, isn’t she? Say something!"
Ji Xinhe also turned to look at Wang Er Ya, chuckled softly, "Er Ya, tell me, did you actually see me meeting Porky San in private?"
Wang Er Ya immediately felt a chill run down her spine. Why was Lady Ding getting so agitated and now even Ji Xinhe is asking her the same question?
Ji Xinhe continued, "Er Ya, you should think clearly before talking. Being falsely accused is not good for reputation. For us girls, a tainted reputation is the worst. It’s better if you tell the truth now, admit your mistake and this can help you avoid having a reputation as a conniver."
Ji Xinhe stressed particularly on the words "Tell the truth".
Wang Er Ya was not a fool. She immediately realized that Ji Xinhe was giving her a second chance.
Wang Er Ya was stunned for a while, then all of a sudden she jumped up and yelled, "I remember now, I remember now, it was Ji Xiulan whom I saw. Ji Xiulan was having a secret meeting with Porky San! She then tried to lunge at Ji Xinhe, but Ji Dong immediately blocked her, his face stern and silent.
"Enough!" Li Zheng suddenly spoke out, his face darkened to the extreme, "The events of today, where both people and evidence are present, Ji Xiulan and Porky San, you have bestowed upon Yang Luo Bay ill repute through your actions, what else can you say for yourselves!?"
