Not many women in the Da Qian ride horses, and most prefer not to leave the house. Even if they did venture on a long journey they would usually do so by horse carriage.
No wonder she was taking Xiaoyu and Shulan along this time, they were the perfect cover.
Shulan and Xiaoyu were busy loading the luggage onto the horse carriage, Xinhe then led Ah Guai out. Ah Guai’s eyes were red and her face had tear stains on it, she had clearly just cried. Her whimper tugged at Ji Xinhe’s heartstrings, "Mother, when will you be back?"
Ji Xinhe picked her up, "Ah Guai, be good, your mother will try to be back within a month, I promise not to make Ah Guai wait too long. All your mother is doing is fetching your grandfather to Yu State. It’s not something serious. If Ah Guai misses me, you can write to me, okay?"
