Chapter 65 Good girl, I was wrong

Chapter 65 Good girl, I was wrong

"I don't consider you an outsider."

Ling Shu spoke softly. In front of Zhuang Jin Fu, she rarely acted tough, like a fierce cat willingly turning over to expose its soft belly and letting her rub it.

Zhuang Jinfu sat beside him, his cool hand gently stroking the fox ears that wouldn't retract: "Good girl, there are no outsiders here, only me. You can tell your master anything. Your master will not hate you, will not look down on you, and will not abandon you. It was your master who failed to protect you before, which gave those people an opportunity to take advantage of you. Your master knows he was wrong. Will Shu'er forgive me?"

With heartfelt affection, gentle words, and eyes as clear as water, where was the aloof and unapproachable celestial being? For one person, he had forgotten his true self.

“You did nothing wrong.” Ling Shu turned her head away from her touch.

Her slender fingers froze in mid-air; even a fool could read the aloofness in her turned head.

"What are you still doing here?" Ling Shu scolded her. "Are you here to laugh at me for not being able to shut up?"

"I didn't," she replied hastily.

"Get out!" Ling Shu ignored her tears and pushed the person next to her off the bed. The person didn't have to say a word before being pushed off and fell to the ground like a boneless creature.

Seeing that someone had fallen, Ling Shu paused in her hand as she pushed the person, feeling sorry for her. She stood there, wanting to help but unwilling to soften her stance. Then she thought, "She is a powerful immortal, who could possibly push her down? Wasn't she the one who deliberately fell?"

I wasn't angry at first, but thinking about this made me really angry again. I didn't care about her lack of manners: "Who are you trying to fool with this act? If you're not going to die, get up."

"Let me show you."

Ling Shu, who had been crying, stopped now. Wiping away her tears with her sleeve, she turned around, grabbed a soft pillow from the couch, and slapped it down at Zhuang Jinfu, yelling, "You shameless bastard! Get out of here!"

Zhuang Jinfu propped himself up with his arm to block, not retaliating: "I was wrong, Shu'er, don't hit me, good girl, I was wrong, ah—"

She called out, and Ling Shu thought there was a needle hidden in the pillow that had pricked someone. She stopped, but then saw the person get up quickly and perfectly fine. It was all an act.

Ling Shu angrily threw the pillow onto the couch, sat down sullenly, crossed her arms, and complained, "Always good at playing tricks on people."

The jade-like person came over, and when he got to her, he suddenly knelt down on one knee, gently placed his hand on her knee, and looked up at her: "Hit me, scold me, resent me, it's all fine, just don't ignore me."

Ling Shu was stunned for a moment, then turned her head and gave a haughty "humph".

A cool spiritual energy slowly entered her meridians from the knees covered by her fingertips, replenishing her lost spiritual energy little by little. At some point, Zhuang Jinfu's spiritual energy and magic power were no longer as icy as when they first met; now they were warm with a slight coolness. The coolness of the ice spiritual root could not be melted away, just like her exclusive mark.

She controls both spiritual energy and magical power. Was she afraid of freezing herself, so she adjusted the temperature of the spiritual energy? She can't melt away the cold, so she can only try her best to adjust the spiritual energy to the hottest temperature she can provide. It seems like it's been a long time.

Thinking of this, Ling Shu loosened his arms, lightly touched her cool hand with his fingertips, pushed it away, and whispered, "I don't want you to treat me."

As I tried to pull my hand away, the other hand seized the opportunity to grip it tightly and wouldn't let go.

"Fine, if you don't want treatment, then don't." Qingying looked up at him.

"Let go." Ling Shu tried to pull her hand away several times, but couldn't for a long time. A crystalline magical energy circled her hand; she had even used her magic!

"Such estrangement, don't you want your master anymore?" The tone was pleading, the posture of a humble subordinate, but the magical power surrounding the entire room had not been withdrawn at all; the magical power of those at the Mahayana stage and above completely enveloped the room.

What appears to be a humble request with no answer is actually a testament to her having complete control over the entire situation all the time.

Good heavens! Ling realized too late that Zhuang Jinfu was someone you should never mess with, because once you do, there's no escaping it.

Ling Shu's mind raced. She knew that a direct confrontation wouldn't be advantageous, but then she suddenly came up with a brilliant idea.

She cried.

In the blink of an eye, tears streamed down her face as she frantically pulled her hand away, pleading in a weak, delicate voice, "Let me go." It was a pitiful display of emotion.

Everyone knows who's bullying whom!

This method worked; the magic in his hand dissipated, and he safely withdrew his hand.

"Alright, alright, Master won't force you." She took a handkerchief and came over to wipe her tears, saying softly, "Don't cry, I'm not worth you shedding so many tears."

Ling Shu turned her head away, not allowing her to wipe it. She remembered how long Zhuang Jin Fu had ignored her before. The two remained in this stalemate for a while, with her kneeling there. Ling Shu softened again and kicked her kneeling thigh with the tip of her embroidered shoe like a cat scratching: "Get up."

Zhuang Jinfu dared not get up.

"Get up, how can a master kneel before his disciple?"

"Hey." Only then did the person get up, standing to the side not daring to sit down, afraid that he might do something wrong and make her cry again, because it's not easy to comfort a girl when she cries.

Ling Shu looked at her standing there and wanted to say, "Let me go, and we can both go our separate ways." But she had only managed to say, "You..." when the woman's knees buckled and she knelt down again.

Ling Shu: "..."

Ling Shu: "Imperial Venerable, please withdraw your magic. I need to return to Xinglin Peak before dawn, otherwise they will be worried when they find that their great hero is missing during the day while they are at work."

On this matter, there seemed to be no room for discussion. Zhuang Jinfu's domineering demeanor reappeared, only this time he said while kneeling: "I will send someone to deliver a message saying that I have come to take you back to Qingxi Mountain."

As soon as he finished speaking, he immediately cast a spell on the jade pendant at his waist to send a message to Hai Gu, giving her an instruction. The jade pendant then faded away, saying, "All done."

With the matter settled, Ling Shu, at her wits' end, flopped onto the couch and threw a tantrum, yelling, "I don't want to listen to you! I want to go to Xinglin Peak to recuperate! Open the door! Open the door for me!"

Zhuang Jinfu: "Tell me why you're avoiding me, and I'll let you go."

Ling Shu pretended not to hear, rolled around a few times and seeing that her attitude hadn't softened, she sprang up like a carp and slid down like a slippery eel, kneeling down in front of Zhuang Jinfu.

The two of them were inexplicably kneeling in front of each other. Ling Shu grabbed her clothes by the shoulder and shook her hard: "Open the door for me! If you don't open the door for me, you won't have any peace and quiet! Open the door! Open the door!"

Her outburst dispelled the gloom that had prevented Zhuang Jinfu from rescuing her at Bitan Mountain. A slight smile appeared on his lips as he let her rant, and he said gently, "I feel more at ease knowing you're recuperating at Qingxi Mountain. I can't reach Xinglin Peak from a distance, and what if someone else tries to harm you?"

Ling Shu was stunned. This... indeed, but she couldn't rely on Zhuang Jinfu for the rest of her life. Oh well, she had nothing better to do than die.

Ling Shu teased her again, and this time she pushed and pulled too hard. She pushed Zhuang Jinfu's shoulder, thinking that the other party could withstand her force as steadily as before. But the other party seemed to suddenly lose strength. As soon as she pushed, the other party's body fell directly backward to the ground, and she fell on top of her.

They stared at each other, their breaths, one hot and one cool, brushing against each other. They pressed close together, their scents mingling. Ling Shu's face flushed red like a pomegranate seed as she tried to clear herself: "I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

She didn't use much force at all.

Ling Shu blushed as she got up from the ground, but the other person didn't get up with her. Looking over in confusion, she saw Zhuang Jinfu lying on the ground without making a sound.

He probably fell and hurt his head because she pressed him down.

Ling Shu crawled over like a fox, knelt down beside her, and patted her: "Hey, Zhuang Jinfu, are you alright?"

“Hiss…” Zhuang Jinfu cried out, holding his head.

Oh no, you really fell this time. Ling Shu said anxiously, "Ah, you fell! Oh no, they're going to scold me to death! I'll never bother you again. I'm sorry, it's all my fault. Does it hurt a lot?" Zhuang Jin Fu didn't answer. He held his head and got up, letting her help him slowly lie down on the couch.

"I'll go to Xinglin Peak to find you a physician." Ling Shu settled the people and turned to leave, but someone pulled her wrist back, causing her to lose her footing and fall backward. The world spun around her, and her head hit the soft pillow. A cool hand blocked her head, preventing it from hitting the headboard. She heard Qingyue's voice whisper in her ear, "Where do you think you're going?"

"You're not...your head, you..." The words circled in his mouth, but finally he said, "You lied to me again!"

Zhuang Jinfu didn't answer her question, but coaxed her, "Don't go back, stay by my side."

Ling Shu braced herself on her elbows and tried to get up, but a hand pressed down on her waist. The arm was slender and covered in ice crystals, indicating that magic was being used. Ling Shu was annoyed: "You're using magic to bully me again!"

Zhuang Jinfu rested his chin on his hand, looking relaxed: "Hmm, Shu'er is right. If I bully someone, will you bully them back?"

Could she possibly gain anything by going head-to-head with a Celestial Venerable? Isn't that obvious? How else could she possibly bully him? Ling Shu's eyes darted around, and a brilliant idea flashed into her mind. Didn't Zhuang Jinfu used to hate being offended by her the most?

She still couldn't figure out what Zhuang Jinfu's feelings were for her, but who cared? She'd disgust her and make her Dao heart fluctuate. Who knew that the magic barrier might waver, and she could take the opportunity to escape!

A woman who doesn't back down doesn't hesitate to act!

Ling Shu gritted her teeth, turned around, wrapped her arms around Zhuang Jinfu's neck, kissed her lips, and then quickly pulled away to observe her reaction.

They were stunned! The surrounding barrier rippled and weakened!

The arm that was holding her was easily shaken off by her, and she landed on the floor. It felt so good to step on the floor!

Just as she stood still and took a step forward, a powerful magical force suddenly pulled her backward, and the fox fell back onto the couch, meeting Qingying's gaze at close range.

A cool fragrance wafted over, and her handsome face loomed closer, so close that she could see the immortal's curled black eyelashes, each one distinct, like two feather fans before her eyes.

A soft touch came from my lips.

No, this... is this right? Shouldn't he have disgusted her and then knocked her away? This time there's no reason why they have to cultivate together, so why is she still... returning the kiss?

It has a delicate, soft touch, a refreshing and sweet aroma, and a hint of wine.

They didn't leave until quite a while later.

Ling Shu was quiet with a mosquito—no, the mosquito was much noisier than her.

Zhuang Jinfu chuckled lightly, a playful look in his eyes: "Is this how you bully me?"
