Chapter 135 Illusion

Faced with the concern of the members, Wen Xiaowan tried hard to force a smile and answered casually: "I'm fine, Liu'er. I'm just a little tired, don't worry." However, her eyes could not hide her inner worries.

The topic naturally turned to the matter that had been bothering them. Wen Xiaowan couldn't help but ask, "By the way, where's Ai Yu? Still can't find her?" Zhao Liu'er was also helpless when she mentioned this name.

"Yeah, I could still get in touch with her before, but now she seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. I have no idea where she has gone." Zhao Liuer frowned tightly, shook her head and muttered to herself.

"Is that so?" Wen Xiaowan responded, her voice sounding a little low.

"Hey, ever since Teacher Li died, we haven't been able to find Ai Yu." Zhao Liu'er scratched her head unconsciously and continued, "Qian Cheng is almost going crazy, I tell you. He's been searching all over the world for Ai Yu's whereabouts, but there's no news at all."

Hearing this, Wen Xiaowan was obviously stunned for a moment, with a hint of surprise in her eyes: "Is that so..."

Zhao Liuer noticed Wen Xiaowan's reaction and looked at her with concern: "Xiaowan, I feel that you are not in a good condition. Do you want to have a good rest first? Seeing you look tired, it really makes me distressed."

Wen Xiaowan lowered her head slightly and said nothing. Zhao Liuer saw this and stopped asking questions. Instead, she firmly took Wen Xiaowan's hand and walked her back to the dormitory. Along the way, Zhao Liuer sighed secretly, because Wen Xiaowan's haggardness was already visible to the naked eye.

After putting Wen Xiaowan on the bed and covering her with the quilt, Zhao Liuer left.

Wen Xiaowan lay quietly on her bed, her eyes fixed on the ceiling, her thoughts drifting far away. She slowly raised her hand, her gaze resting on her dark palm, and murmured softly, "Why do everyone know Li Yuzhen is dead, but I don't? Was I so focused on treating the Moon Envoy that I neglected it?"

This doubt lingered in Wen Xiaowan's mind like a fog, leaving her tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. Although her body was exhausted and her eyelids felt heavy, the question lingered in her mind. She felt as if she were in a state of chaos, unable to find a way out.

At that moment, a strange song reached Wen Xiaowan's ears. The voice was clear and melodious, like a dolphin from the deep sea, its melody soaring and captivating that it was enchanting. This beautiful song was especially clear at that moment, carrying some mysterious power that penetrated through the layers of darkness and reached the depths of Wen Xiaowan's soul.

Wen Xiaowan was initially immersed in the wonderful feeling, but as the darkness in her palm spread rapidly like a tide, she couldn't help but feel a sense of panic. She quickly sat up straight and rubbed her hands together tightly, trying to stop the strange darkness from spreading further.

However, it was all in vain. The black color seemed to have life, expanding wildly under her skin. In just a few seconds, her entire forearm was dyed black, forming a sharp contrast with the originally fair skin around it.

Wen Xiaowan widened her eyes and looked at everything happening in front of her in disbelief, her pupils trembling violently with fear.

"How could this happen..." she muttered to herself, her voice trembling uncontrollably. These past few days, to heal the injured Moon Envoy, she had been forced to frequently summon and utilize Sariel's power. This wasn't the first time this had happened, so why was it so serious this time?

Countless thoughts flashed through Wen Xiaowan's mind, but she couldn't find a reasonable explanation.

At this moment, she felt a wave of helplessness and despair surge into her heart, and her body couldn't help but tremble slightly. Faced with this sudden change, she didn't know how to respond, and she had no idea what terrible things would happen next.

Another call reminder rang in her ears. Wen Xiaowan answered it and pretended to be calm, "Hello?"

"President, where are you? Song Yi has fainted from mental exhaustion."

"Okay, I'm changing in the dorm. I'll be right there."

Wen Xiaowan finally found a pair of medical gloves. After carefully checking them to make sure they were not damaged, she slowly put them on. Then she pulled her long sleeves down as far as she could and put on her white coat.

After completing these preparations, Wen Xiaowan took a deep breath and walked out of the dormitory. The corridor, which was usually only a few dozen meters long, seemed unusually long today. Every step she took felt incredibly heavy, as if a thousand-pound burden was pressing down on her.

For some reason, Wen Xiaowan felt like she had been walking for a long time, but she still hadn't reached the dormitory building's gate. She couldn't help but wonder if she was too tired and hallucinating. However, the fact was that this corridor seemed to have no end.

"who?"

Wen Xiaowan looked around cautiously, but didn't find anything unusual. She continued walking forward cautiously. At the same time, she gently pressed the button on her bracelet to start the timer.

Time passed minute by minute. After about three minutes, Wen Xiaowan suddenly turned her head and looked at the dormitory door beside her.

The house number is exactly the same as before. Is she standing still?

After realizing this, Wen Xiaowan stopped and squatted down slowly, her body pressed against the wall. She took a deep breath to calm herself down, then clicked the bracelet again and turned on the virtual screen.

Then she raised her hand, bit the medical glove on her hand, and quickly pulled it off.

Wen Xiaowan was about to send a message to Zhao Liuer asking for help. However, when she edited the good news and prepared to send it, she found that the message was stuck on the sending interface and could not be sent successfully.

Helplessly, Wen Xiaowan had to turn off the bracelet screen. She silently put on her gloves again, stood up with her back against the wall, and continued to observe the surrounding situation.

At this moment, the strange melody sounded again without any warning. This time, the sound was louder and clearer than before, as if it was lingering in my ears.

As the melody grew louder, Wen Xiaowan clearly felt as if an invisible force was tightly wrapped around her legs, making her almost unable to move.

"Xiao Wan!" Eleven's voice suddenly came, as if floating from far away. She hadn't known when she had run back and was now standing at the end of the corridor, gasping for breath, her eyes anxiously looking at Wen Xiao Wan who was trapped in the middle.

Wen Xiaowan heard the voice and raised her head suddenly, seeing Eleven. A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes: "Eleven? Why are you back?"

Eleven took a deep breath, trying to calm her rapid breathing. She stared at Wen Xiaowan, as if trying to engrave her in her eyes. Then, she gently pressed the hem of her skirt, as if to cheer herself up. When she was sure that Wen Xiaowan was safe and sound, Eleven finally breathed a sigh of relief, but her expression remained serious.

"Xiao Wan, remember, if you hear a melody..." Eleven paused, his voice low and firm, "You must believe that it is just your illusion. Don't look for it, and don't be attracted by it."
