"Are you crazy?!"
So it turns out that his plan was this: to help her and then ask for an empty check.
Song Nuan was angry and broke free from his grasp, her wrist turning red from his grip. "Li Jingchen, what do you take me for? A plaything? Or a pet?"
Li Jingchen looked at her calmly, "What do you think?"
What does she think?
She thought he was delusional!
"If you feel unhappy that I'm keeping you as a mistress, then you can rest assured that I won't reveal this matter and will protect your reputation as the president of the Li Group."
Song Nuan's face turned ashen. "You don't need to retaliate against me this way."
The man chuckled coldly, "You think I made you stay with me to get revenge on you?"
Isn't that so?
Li Jingchen's face was ashen, his eyes sharp and sinister as if he wanted to tear Song Nuan to pieces.
Song Nuan felt a chill run down her spine from his gaze.
Suddenly, Li Jingchen laughed, "Then consider this my revenge against you."
The man's shadow fell, almost completely obscuring Song Nuan.
He walked up to Song Nuan in a few steps, and in a dizzying moment, Song Nuan was picked up and carried horizontally. She subconsciously grabbed the man's clothes, and by the time she realized what was happening, she had already been thrown onto the bed.
There was also a large hand wreaking havoc on his chest.
Guessing what he was planning, Song Nuan was horrified. "Li Jingchen, I don't want to!"
"It's not up to you."
He knelt on top of her, his legs clamping her lower body, looking down at her with a superior air, his deep, narrow eyes devoid of emotion.
She appears calm, yet her actions are ruthless and brutal.
Song Nuan was afraid, a fear she couldn't quite explain.
His face overlapped with Lu Ziyang's gentle face, flickering in and out of focus, until finally Lu Ziyang's face became a phantom, pierced by Li Jingchen's truly cold eyes, and vanished.
"pain--"
Song Nuan burst into tears and frantically pounded on Lu Lijingchen, but she had no strength. Her fists were so weak that they felt like she was just tickling him. "You beast, Lijingchen, stop!"
Li Jingchen was also very upset.
The two have always been a good match, but now Song Nuan is crying out in pain...
He suppressed his pain, grabbed her flailing hands, cupped her fists in his large palm, and spoke in a low, husky voice, his tone both gentle and tender, as he suppressed his suffering: "Be good, Nuannuan, relax."
Song Nuan slapped him across the face, angrily yelling, "You bastard! Who agreed to do it? Get out!"
She has a terrible temper.
Li Jingchen narrowed his eyes, finding this situation rather troublesome for the first time, and said in a cold voice, "If you continue like this, you'll only be the one who suffers."
Song Nuan froze for a second, then burst into tears.
"You bastard, would it kill you to say something nice?"
Li Jingchen chuckled and leaned down to kiss the corner of her eye. The tenderness in his eyes almost melted Song Nuan's heart. However, the man's actions showed no sign of stopping or slowing down; instead, they intensified.
I don't know how much time has passed.
Song Nuan felt her voice was hoarse from shouting, and her body felt like it had been run over by a wheel; she couldn't even lift her hands.
The culprit has disappeared without a trace.
The doorbell rang suddenly.
Song Nuan gritted her teeth, cursing the man in her heart, and forced herself to get up. After getting dressed, she went to open the door.
The person who arrived was Wen Hua.
Song Nuan pulled her coat tighter. "Mr. Wen?"
"Miss Song, I hope my sudden visit hasn't bothered you."
Wen Hua was around forty years old. He was well-maintained and looked very young, but the signs of age in his eyes were too heavy, and it was easy to tell at a glance that he was not a kind person.
Song Nuan didn't like dealing with people like that.
Therefore, their attitude can hardly be described as enthusiastic.
"Mr. Wen, is there something you need from me?" She stood behind the door, not inviting him in. "You've come at an inopportune time; I'm not feeling well."
"Then I'll get straight to the point."
Wen Hua was much gentler than when she had scolded Windsor at school. "Thank you for testifying for Windsor. This is a token of my gratitude."
A delicate little box came into Song Nuan's view.
Out of curiosity, she examined it for a few seconds before looking away, her tone polite yet distant. "Thank you, but it's alright. I was just stating the facts; I didn't mean to favor Windsor."
"Besides, it is a fact that Ouyang Chengyi was indeed pushed into the lake by Windsor."
"The facts don't matter. In short, Windsor was almost slandered. If you hadn't testified for her in time, the consequences would have been very serious."
Is it serious?
Song Nuan guessed that it would involve the family, but Windsor would at most be scolded for being ignorant, how serious could the consequences be?
She doesn't understand, and doesn't intend to understand.
Seeing that he insisted on giving it to her, Song Nuan accepted the gift and said, "Thank you."
Wen Hua smiled.
"If there's nothing else, you..."
“There’s one more thing,” Wen Hua interrupted Song Nuan at an opportune moment. “Ouyang Chengyi said that Sasha slandered her online, so she went to Sasha to demand an apology. Does Miss Song know what this slander is all about?”
Song Nuan smiled silently. "I don't know."
"Is that so?" Wen Hua's eyes changed slightly. "As far as I know, those accounts that posted negative posts about Ouyang Chengyi were contacted by someone. Coincidentally, that person is Miss Song's assistant."
Even in the dead of winter, Song Nuan's palms were sweaty.
Finally, she laughed and said, "It seems that Mr. Wen has not come here to express his gratitude, but to demand an explanation."
She leaned against the door frame, looking weak and unsteady.
It was a show deliberately put on for Wen Hua's benefit.
Song Nuan thought he would at least be sensible enough to leave and not bother her anymore, but unexpectedly Wen Hua raised his hand to help her, "Miss Song, since you are not feeling well, don't force yourself. Let me help you inside."
Song Nuan's face turned green.
Letting him in would be terrible!
It seems they'll keep pressing her about the dirt on her. Wen Hua probably suspects she's secretly plotting something, pretending to testify for Windsor while actually pinning the blame for exposing the dirt on Windsor.
Song Nuan was expressionless, thinking about how to shut Wen Hua out, when suddenly another hand appeared, knocked away Wen Hua's hand that was supporting her, and then took its place.
The familiar woody scent.
It's Li Jingchen.
"President Wen, what are you doing here?" Before Song Nuan could turn around, the man's cold and deep voice rang out.
Wen Hua smiled and became much more polite: "President Li."
He subtly observed Li Jingchen's hand supporting Song Nuan, discerning something from it, and smiled meaningfully, "Mr. Li, you and Miss Song seem to have a good relationship."
"It's alright." Song Nuan casually brushed Li Jingchen's hand away. "I'll go in first, you two chat."
After saying that, Song Nuan made her escape without waiting for the two people's reactions.
She was still holding what Wen Hua called a gift in her hand.
If Wen Hua hadn't mentioned the scandal after giving the gift, Song Nuan might have genuinely believed he was giving a gift out of sincerity.
Now it seems that his real intention was not what he thought.
Upon opening the box, one finds a set of Maybach car keys and a note with the car pickup address written on it.
Delivering a car?
Song Nuan's lips twitched. Wen Hua was indeed here to annoy her, but since she had already accepted the car, she had no reason to return it.
After thinking for a moment, Song Nuan found the contact information for the used car dealership online and called it.
"Hello, I want to sell my car."
