Chapter 146 Zhao Li's Targeting

Xia Lan spent an hour writing out all the questions. Looking at the answer sheet in her hand, Xia Lan spent another ten minutes checking it to make sure there were no mistakes.

The proctor naturally noticed Xia Lan's actions, seeing her arrange the exam papers and begin to pack up her tools.

"That student, you can hand in your paper early after you've finished answering," the proctor said to Xia Lan with a friendly smile.

"Thank you, teacher. I'd like to hand in my paper now." Xia Lan picked up her test paper, walked up to the stage, and handed it to the proctor.

The proctor looked at the only person in the exam room who kept writing and was very much looking forward to seeing how many questions she would answer correctly.

Before leaving the examination room, Xia Lan glanced back at Zhao Li and saw her scratching her head. Xia Lan then calmly walked out.

At this point, only an hour had passed, leaving half an hour. The proctor simply started looking at Xia Lan's exam paper.

Okay, okay, okay...

My mind was replaying Xia Lan's exam paper, reading her understanding of each question, and the words "Good..." kept echoing in my head.

The Chinese exam tests comprehension and discrimination. Discrimination is not difficult; it simply involves judging whether some sentences are right or wrong and correcting them.

Comprehension is the process of understanding and writing down one's own interpretation of words and sentences.

Looking at Xia Lan's neat handwriting and the tidy paper, there wasn't even a single typo.

The proctor suddenly realized that someone extraordinary might be about to appear in the exam room he was proctoring.

Xia Lan calmly walked out of the examination room under everyone's gaze.

Qin Yu immediately came forward and handed Xia Lan a hot water bottle.

It was already December, and the weather was cold. Xia Lan held the hot water bottle and breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's so warm."

"Finished the exam?" Qin Yu asked, taking Xia Lan's hand as he prepared to ride his bike home.

Xia Lan looked at Qin Yu disapprovingly. "Brother Yu, why don't you find somewhere to hide? You're colder than I am."

"I was afraid you wouldn't see me when you came out," Qin Yu explained, ruffling Xia Lan's hair and putting her scarf on for her.

"Excuse me, have you finished your exams?"

Someone went up and saw Xia Lan come out of the examination room first, assuming that the exam was over. But after waiting for a while, even though she was about to be picked up by her husband, no other examinees came out.

I couldn't help but go up and ask.

"They should be out in half an hour," Xia Lan explained.

Everyone looked at Xia Lan, who had come out first, and exchanged bewildered glances.

"Then why did she come out first?"

"Perhaps he didn't do well on the exam, so he left early?"

"That's possible."

"Or maybe he was kicked out for cheating..."

People were whispering about Xia Lan. Xia Lan glanced lazily at the woman who was talking badly about her and gave a soft snort.

"Shut up! It's none of your business how my wife did on the exam." Qin Yu glared at them, his eyes filled with malice.

"Brother Yu, let's go!" Xia Lan ignored these people, got on Qin Yu's old bicycle, patted Qin Yu, and told him to calm down.

Qin Yu glared threateningly at those people before setting off to take Xia Lan home. The women who had been gossiping never expected Qin Yu to have such sharp ears.

They were all frightened by him and stood there like quails.

Xia Lan sat behind Qin Yu, and couldn't help but laugh as she recalled how those people had been stunned by Qin Yu.

"Don't pay attention to what they say. I believe you will do well on the exam," Qin Yu comforted Xia Lan.

"Hehe." Xia Lan sweetly hugged Qin Yu's waist.

After Qin Yu brought Xia Lan home, he cooked a meal for her and then urged her to go to bed.

"Take a break, you have an exam this afternoon!"

"Sleep with me." Xia Lan reached out her hand to Qin Yu.

Without saying a word, Qin Yu obediently got into bed and held Xia Lan in his arms.

Let her comfortably lean against him.

"Go to sleep."

Holding Qin Yu, Xia Lan felt a strong sense of security, and her breathing soon became even.

Qin Yu held the sleeping Xia Lan and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

After Xia Lan woke up, Qin Yu took her back to the examination room.

The afternoon exam was math, and everyone came in with a math book to review.

Numbers are the most difficult subject, and many people don't have a good grasp of them.

We can only try to cram at the last minute.

Xia Lan sat there calmly without making any movement, which made her stand out conspicuously in the examination room.

"Some people think they're so great, it's unbearable."

Zhao Li couldn't help but roll her eyes at Xia Lan's feigned indifference.

What she hated most was Xia Lan's aloofness.

Everyone else was busy studying math, but she just sat there by herself, acting like she was on vacation, without any sense of urgency.

Xia Lan turned around and glanced at Zhao Li.

"Some people think they're so great all day long, but they end up getting a zero on their exams."

Xia Lan retorted lazily, glancing back at Zhao Li provocatively.

She didn't dare say it outright, but she did.

The others in the examination room already knew that Xia Lan and Zhao Li had a grudge, and no one thought that Xia Lan would talk about them.

Zhao Li stood up, trying to get everyone's spirits up.

"Xia Lan, are you deliberately trying to cause trouble? Are you cursing us all to only get zero on our exams?"

Xia Lan saw through Zhao Li's sinister intentions and shook her head disdainfully.

"I'm only targeting you. I don't know about other people's achievements, but I'm certain about yours."

"If you don't have the ability, don't do useless things. Do your exam well first!"

Xia Lan's words offended Zhao Li, who slammed her hand on the table and stood up.

"Xia Lan, what are you saying? It's obvious that you all ganged up on me and gave me an exam paper I couldn't understand!" Zhao Li roared.

"Pfft." Zhao Li's words made many people present burst into laughter.

If there are exam papers that Zhao Li can't understand, it can only mean that she can't understand a single question.

This completely exposed his ignorance.

"What are you laughing at!" Zhao Li felt the laughter coming from all directions.

His self-esteem was severely damaged.

Xia Lan sighed softly.

"Comrade, although I don't know what grudge you have against this comrade, what you just said has already exposed your ignorance enough. You'd better sit down and take the exam properly!"

One of the women couldn't help but laugh, looking at Zhao Li with pity.

"Did you hear that? Listen carefully to what you just said. How ignorant you are." Xia Lan looked at Zhao Li and chuckled.

"If you can't understand the exam paper, don't blame the exam paper; blame yourself for not studying harder before." Another woman chimed in, feeling that Zhao Li was just being unreasonable.

"You! You all have to help her no matter what!" Zhao Li said angrily in the face of this situation.

Why is everyone helping Xia Lan, but no one is helping her?

"Then why did you provoke me?" Xia Lan asked Zhao Li, speechless.

"Xia Lan! It's clearly you..."

Zhao Li had just spoken when the proctor came in with the exam papers.

"Why is it so noisy? It's you again? Why don't you go outside and finish shouting before coming back in to take the exam!"
