As Qin Yu galloped across the racetrack, Xia Lan watched as he overtook Yang Ziye, who had started earlier, and reached the finish line. Xia Lan cheered with joy.
Looking at Qin Yu's spirited appearance, Xia Lan seemed to see his former self.
"His gaze has never left you."
Honglian followed Xialan's gaze to Qin Yu. Upon seeing Honglian beside Xialan, Qin Yu immediately turned grim and rode over.
"Your vinegar bucket has arrived."
Red Lotus Path.
Xia Lan smiled slightly.
It's his own fault for doing something so stupid, which made Qin Yu dislike him.
How did you get here?
Qin Yu charged straight at Honglian, then his horse's hooves rose high into the air, nearly kicking Honglian twice.
Then it landed heavily on the ground, demonstrating impressive precision.
Of course, it would be even better if that person wasn't coming towards you.
"Stay away from Xia Lan!" Qin Yu said with a sinister look on his face, his eyes filled with ruthlessness and warning.
Xia Lan waved to Qin Yu, who pursed his lips and steered his horse to Xia Lan's side.
Xia Lan tugged at Qin Yu's hand, gesturing for him to come closer.
After Qin Yu leaned in, Xia Lan whispered to him about Hong Lian's past.
Qin Yu scoffed lightly. Hong Lian felt offended by Qin Yu, and her temple twitched instantly, with veins bulging.
"Her taste in men is really not good."
"How can you be so ungentlemanly!"
Honglian gritted her teeth and said that she and Qin Yu were incompatible, and she felt particularly angry whenever she saw him.
What's wrong with this man? Doesn't he know how to cherish women?
That's infuriating.
"Little Lanlan, I'm going back now. You guys have fun! I'll wait for you at the stables."
Honglian rolled her eyes at Qin Yu, turned her horse around, and rode away without looking back.
Xia Lan looked at Hong Lian's angry expression and glanced at Qin Yu with amusement.
"Come on, I'll take you for a run." Qin Yu grabbed Xia Lan's reins and started running with her.
Xia Lan was still a little scared, but fortunately Qin Yu was by her side, which made her feel much more at ease.
After a while, Xia Lan no longer sensed any danger, and only then did she truly understand what it meant to ride a horse at full gallop.
"This feels so good!!"
Xia Lan boldly raised her hands, and Bai Xue, sensing Xia Lan's emotions, couldn't help but let out a joyful cry.
Xia Lan didn't want to leave the horse farm all afternoon. Qin Yu played with Xia Lan all afternoon until the horse trainer came to urge them to rest.
Xia Lan reluctantly returned to the stable, not forgetting to hug Bai Xue before parting.
"Wow, it's so late!"
Xia Lan glanced at the clock hanging in the stable and saw that it had already pointed to five. She exclaimed in surprise that she had been playing here for so long.
"We've only visited this one place this afternoon, why don't we stay here for the night?" Yang Ziye suggested.
Qin Yu and Xia Lan shook their heads in unison.
"No, Master is still waiting for us at home!"
Xia Lan shook her head and smiled.
"I had a great time today, thank you so much, Brother Yang!"
"Sister-in-law, please don't call me that. Just call me Xiao Yang."
Yang Ziye dared not let Xia Lan call him "Big Brother".
Honglian was stunned when she heard Xia Lan's decision to leave.
"You're leaving already? You still have so much to experience..."
"It's late, so we won't bother you any longer! Thank you!"
Xia Lan waved goodbye to Hong Lian.
"Let's go back then!"
Yang Ziye led Xia Lan and Qin Yu toward the door, with Honglian seeing them off.
Before leaving, Honglian took out three passes and handed them to Xialan.
"These are your passes. You can come anytime you have time!"
"Just give it to Yang Ziye, Qin Yu and I can skip it."
Xia Lan handed him the pass with Yang Ziye's name on it, and returned the other two to Hong Lian.
"I'm already very happy to be here today."
Honglian frowned, Xia Lan waved to Honglian, and pulled Qin Yu into Yang Ziye's car.
Yang Ziye glanced at Honglian, then at Xia Lan and Qin Yu, who had already gotten into the car.
Xiang Honglian nodded, then ran to the car and drove away.
Honglian kept watching Yang Ziye's car until it disappeared around the corner and could no longer be seen, only then did she put away the two passes.
"Have you noticed? This Qin Yu... looks a bit like that person!?"
Zhang Jin appeared behind Honglian at some point, holding the direction Yang Ziye had left in.
"Is this why you suddenly handed the person over to me? Have you found out anything?"
Honglian glanced at Zhang Jin, who smiled wryly.
"I found something interesting, would you like to hear it?"
"Speak if you want to, otherwise get out of here!"
Honglian wasn't buying Zhang Jin's act.
"Speak, speak, speak! Since you, Honglian, have spoken, how dare I not speak?"
Zhang Jin chuckled.
"Qin Yu's face is exactly the same as that old man's when he was young."
What does this prove?
Honglian disagreed.
There are many people who look alike, does that mean they are necessarily related?
"Besides, these are all just guesses."
Zhang Jin shrugged.
"Let's check it out! Better safe than sorry."
"just in case……"
Honglian looked in the direction they left and murmured to herself.
The capital city is about to be turned upside down.
On the way back, Yang Ziye kept looking in the rearview mirror, leaving Xia Lan speechless.
"If you have any questions, just ask, okay?"
Xia Lan met Yang Ziye's gaze as he looked in the rearview mirror and spoke directly.
