"You...you don't need to do this."
Sudan blushed and turned around to see Xia Lan and Wu Shishi leaning against the wall, looking at them with curious expressions.
"I want to do this, I want to be good to you!"
Bai Xiao looked at Sudan.
"Are you... are you willing to date me with marriage in mind? I promise I'll treat you well!"
“I have two older brothers, one in the village and the other in the army. My parents are both alive. If we could become revolutionary partners, they would be very happy!”
Bai Xiao's words left Sudan speechless. He thought about many things, but he did not refuse.
"You...you let me think about it..."
Sudan held the items, bewildered.
"Of course!"
Although Bai Xiao was a little disappointed, the fact that Sudan did not refuse was the best answer for him.
This proves that he still has hope.
Bai Xiao nodded.
"Then I'll come back to see you next week!"
Bai Xiao glanced at his watch.
"I should go back now! Comrade Sultan, please consider my request."
Bai Xiao spoke loudly, and everyone heard his last words.
Applause immediately erupted from the audience!
Wow!
Bai Xiao smiled at Sudan, then turned and ran away.
"Huh? Why did it run away?"
Everyone was hoping to hear him confess his feelings, but unexpectedly, this guy just ran away.
Shouldn't we wait for her to agree?
Why did you leave?
"Weren't you going to confess your feelings?"
"Shouldn't he wait for the woman's answer before running away? Is he afraid of being rejected?"
"Hey! That's really not nice of you..."
"They were having such a great time, and then it was all over..."
"..."
The female classmates were all disappointed, but seeing Sudan and Bai Xiao standing together, they did look very well-matched.
When Sudan returned to the dormitory with several bags of snacks, Xia Lan and Wu Shishi brought out a chair and looked at her with serious expressions.
Zhao Yuexin sat to the side, smiling as she watched the drama unfold.
"Speak!"
"You just said it was okay, what's this now?"
"You even bought so many snacks especially for you?"
"You're still asking me to consider him in front of everyone?"
"Confess and you'll be treated leniently; resist and you'll be punished severely. Think carefully before you answer."
The two interrogated the Sultan relentlessly, one question after another.
The Sultan looked at them and held out the snacks in his hand to them.
"Please, my two ladies, spare my life!"
The Sudanese cooperated by offering snacks.
"I'll talk, I'll talk, okay?!"
Sudan blushed as he spoke.
"Speak!"
"What's going on?"
Xia Lan and Wu Shishi narrowed their eyes.
"Well... he saved me last time! And we happened to be on the same train, and on the way back, he stayed by my side and took care of me the whole time..."
"We started chatting..."
After Sultan gave a brief explanation, Sharan immediately raised questions.
"This is very unreasonable."
"First of all, why should he take care of you? Isn't he a train conductor? How can he stay by your side the whole time?"
Xia Lan asked with a smile.
"Well... I've run into bad guys again."
Sudan glanced guiltily at Xia Lan, not daring to admit that he had almost been kidnapped again...
"What happened?"
Xia Lan and Wu Shishi frowned.
“I didn’t talk to anyone or help anyone this time. Suddenly an old woman grabbed me and said I was her runaway daughter-in-law and that she was going to take me home.”
The Sultan touched his nose and began to speak slowly.
“Daughter-in-law, my son just had a little to drink and accidentally hit you, and you’re already running away from home, making this old woman search for you for ages.”
When Sultan found her berth, an old woman suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her out.
"Grandma, you've mistaken me for someone else! I don't know you..."
Sudan frowned, trying to pull his hand away, but found that the old woman was surprisingly strong.
The people around her looked at her with curiosity, but no one came forward to help.
In the end, Sudan managed to free himself from the old woman's hand.
"Your name is Sudan, right? A university student, right?"
The old woman accurately called out Sudan's name and even knew that she was a university student.
Sudan's vigilance was immediately aroused.
"I am not your daughter-in-law!"
Sudan immediately wanted to clarify.
She had no relation to this mother-in-law, but her tacit agreement was an affirmation of what her mother-in-law had just said.
Her name is indeed Sultan.
Sudan was immediately put on the defensive.
"My son just had a little wine and did something foolish, like hitting you. Is it really necessary for you to leave us like this?"
"Which man doesn't have a drink? You're giving him another chance since it's his first offense. I promise I'll never let him hit you again."
"Come home with me!"
The old woman tried to grab Sultan's hand again, but Sultan dodged her with a cold face.
"I told you, I don't know you!"
"Oh dear, it's just a little beating. What woman doesn't get beaten? You should just go home with your mother-in-law. The train will be leaving soon if you stay any longer."
An elderly man who was unaware of the situation believed the old woman's words and, with a hint of resentment, urged Sudan to get off the bus with her.
"Don't worry, I promise I won't let him hit you! Look, everyone's saying so, so just get off the bus with me!"
The old woman tried to grab Sudan's hand again, but Sudan warily prevented her from touching him.
