"Bring me all the boxed lunches!"
Xiao Yuqin was unhappy. How dare this person look down on our Lanlan?
"Hello, comrade, do you want all the boxed meals?"
The train conductor's eyes lit up, and he immediately smiled at Xiao Yuqin.
"Oh, my mom's just joking! No need, no need!"
Xia Lan quickly stopped Xiao Yuqin, preventing her from acting impulsively.
"oh."
The train attendant's smile froze instantly. He threw the boxed lunch onto the train as if venting his anger, and pushed the train away.
"Mom! Why are you arguing with someone like that?"
Xia Lan looked at Xiao Yuqin with amusement, while Xiao Yuqin looked unhappy.
"She actually looked down on you just now."
Xia Lan chuckled, and after comforting Xiao Yuqin, she patted the crumbs off her hands and prepared to go to the restroom.
After Xia Lan left, Xiao Yuqin immediately looked at Qin Yu. Qin Yu nodded coldly, picked up Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan and placed them next to Xiao Yuqin, then walked out with a cold expression.
After using the restroom, Xia Lan walked through the hard-seat carriage and saw many soldiers in military uniforms. Judging from their youthful faces, they all looked to be no more than eighteen or nineteen years old.
It was lunchtime, yet they sat upright. However, being young, their constant swallowing betrayed their condition.
Xia Lan thought for a moment, and was about to go back to check if there were enough biscuits when she heard a woman crying from the dining car.
"I'm just selling boxed lunches, what did I do wrong!"
Xia Lan recognized the woman's voice; before she even got close, she heard her shouting again.
"They're bullying me! They agreed to buy all the lunchboxes, and then they told me they didn't want them anymore! Just because they have power doesn't mean they can look down on me!"
Upon hearing this, Xia Lan realized that she was the train attendant who sold boxed lunches.
"I'll buy all the lunchboxes, just to apologize to my wife!"
Qin Yu's cold voice came through; it turned out he was trying to get justice for her.
Xia Lan was taken aback.
The corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up.
"No! I did nothing wrong!"
The female train attendant refused to apologize to Xia Lan no matter what she said.
"Brother Yu."
Xia Lan walked over, and the people in the food cart were taken aback. They immediately made way for Xia Lan so that she could walk to Qin Yu's side.
Qin Yu's expression stiffened when he saw Xia Lan.
Why did you come here?
"Please, I'll take all these boxed meals. Could you please deliver them to the soldiers in the next carriage on behalf of the train? Just say it was arranged by higher-ups!"
Xia Lan's words immediately turned the tide; everyone realized that Qin Yu was being somewhat aggressive.
He only glanced at his wife twice, yet he forced the train conductor to apologize to her.
“This…this is certainly possible.”
Another train conductor quickly stepped forward and agreed. Xia Lan took out the money and placed it in the conductor's hand.
"Is this enough? If not, I'll add more."
Xia Lan smiled at them.
"Please make sure they all get to eat. If they don't have enough, give them another serving."
"OK!"
The train conductor ignored his female colleague who was wiping away tears on the ground and pushed the small cart to the next carriage.
A commotion broke out in the carriage; the soldiers were overjoyed to learn that boxed meals had been provided for them. They cheered.
After a while, the train conductor returned.
"Comrade, here's your change. They ate a total of forty-six boxed meals."
"The total is seventeen yuan and eight jiao. You just gave me twenty yuan. Here is your change, two yuan and twenty jiao."
Xia Lan nodded.
"Thanks."
"Let's go, Brother Yu."
After Xia Lan finished speaking to the train conductor, she pulled Qin Yu away.
He ignored the female train attendant who was crying on the ground, complaining about the injustice she had suffered.
The audience members all nodded and applauded Xia Lan in appreciation.
Xia Lan smiled calmly.
Walking into the deserted passage, Xia Lan suddenly pulled Qin Yu to the car door and kissed him directly.
Qin Yu paused, then immediately responded to Xia Lan's enthusiasm, pinning her against the wall.
"Hmm."
The two almost went too far with their kiss, but fortunately Qin Yu stopped in time and helped Xia Lan straighten her clothes.
Xia Lan leaned against Qin Yu's chest, still dazed from the kiss and unable to come to her senses.
"You were so cool just now."
Xia Lan looked up at Qin Yu, hugged his waist, and rubbed against him fiercely.
He wanted to get justice for her just because the train conductor looked down on her.
It might be a bit of an overreaction, but Xia Lan felt a warmth in her heart.
What women want is nothing more than a man's favoritism, isn't it?
He would never let her suffer any injustice, not even over the smallest things.
"But I didn't do it well!"
Qin Yu's eyes darkened.
"How could that be? You've made me extremely happy!"
Xia Lan chuckled foolishly and tiptoed to give Qin Yu a kiss.
Qin Yu held Xia Lan in his arms, a slight smile playing on his lips.
The two happily held hands and returned to the carriage. Xiao Yuqin glanced at Qin Yu and Xia Lan, and seeing that the young couple had a good relationship, she felt relieved.
The train slowly came to a stop; they had arrived at their destination station. Xia Lan and Xiao Yuqin each carried a child, while Qin Yu carried all of their family's luggage as they slowly disembarked from the train.
Coincidentally, the soldiers also got off at this station, reporting to their captain who had come to pick them up, and thanking the organization for providing them with lunch boxes.
"Lunchbox? I didn't arrange any. You must have made a mistake."
The captain was taken aback when he heard their words.
"The team knew you were hungry and prepared meals for you a long time ago. Who arranged for you to have boxed lunches?"
