Chapter 391 Lovers Finally Get Married

"I said I want to marry you! I want to be your legal wife."

Qian Xue grasped Du Qiang's hand and said earnestly.

"I don't want to be denied even the right to sign."

Qian Xue slowly told Du Qiang what had happened at the hospital that day, how desperate she felt when she realized she didn't even have the right to write a consent form.

Du Qiang had no other relatives, and she was the only person who could sign for him, but she was turned away because of the piece of paper she didn't want.

If this really caused Du Qiang to miss the best time for treatment, she would hate herself to death.

Du Qiang was deeply moved by Qian Xue's words and put her hand to his lips.

A gentle kiss.

"I'd be ecstatic."

Du Qiang looked at Qian Xue. He suddenly felt an urge to thank the thief. If it weren't for this incident, he didn't know when Qian Xue would have agreed to his request!

Besides, given how ridiculous they were that day, Qian Xue might already be carrying his child.

Du Qiang couldn't contain his anticipation and gripped Qian Xue's hand tightly.

"You're not lying to me, are you?"

Du Qiang glanced at Qian Xue cautiously, afraid that she might back out at the last minute.

"Won't."

Qian Xue glanced at Du Qiang.

When Xia Lan arrived, she saw Du Qiang holding Qian Xue's hand tightly, saying something that made him cry.

"...Oh dear, did I come at the wrong time?"

Xia Lan walked into the ward carrying her things. Du Qiang saw Xia Lan and quickly greeted her.

"Sister-in-law."

"Lanlan".

The two quickly let go of each other's hands, and Qian Xue, blushing, came forward to take the large pile of things from Xia Lan's hands.

"Judging from your appearance, I can tell you haven't prepared anything. I'll go back and get the things for you."

Xia Lan smiled.

"You'll be in the hospital for several days, you'll need these things, won't you?"

"Thank you, Lanlan."

Qian Xue was in such a panic that she didn't even think about packing her things; she just rushed to the hospital.

If it weren't for Xia Lan, she wouldn't have thought of preparing these daily necessities.

"We're all family, why be so polite?"

Xia Lan patted her hand.

"This is the soup my mom made for Du Qiang. This is vegetable porridge. He just had surgery and can't eat it yet. When the doctor says he can eat, you can make it for him!"

"The patient needs to replenish his nutrition, and so do you. You should eat too. There's enough for both of you."

Xia Lan took out the soup and vegetable porridge that Xiao Yuqin had made and placed them on the table.

"Alright, then you take good care of Du Qiang. I won't bother you two anymore."

After Xia Lan put everything away for them, she prepared to leave.

Qian Xue glanced at Du Qiang, then ran out and caught up with Xia Lan.

"Lanlan, I've made up my mind. I want to get a marriage certificate with Du Qiang."

Qian Xue told Xia Lan the news, and Xia Lan looked at Qian Xue.

"Are you serious? Have you really thought this through?"

"I've made up my mind. Qiang is different from Cao Jiaguo. I trust Du Qiang."

Qian Xue nodded seriously; she wanted to share this news with Xia Lan.

Xia Lan stepped forward and hugged Qian Xue, genuinely happy for her.

"I believe you will be happy! This is truly wonderful news."

Xia Lan chuckled, then suddenly noticed the mark on Qian Xue's neck. She paused for a moment, then her smile deepened.

Thank you.

Qian Xue knew that Xia Lan had been helping them during the time their family was going through this ordeal, and Qian Xue was very grateful to Xia Lan.

If it weren't for her, she wouldn't have been able to avenge her sister, and she wouldn't have met Du Qiang.

"Are you being too polite again?"

Xia Lan chuckled and patted Qian Xue on the shoulder.

Qian Xue escorted Xia Lan to the hospital entrance before turning back into the hospital.

Back in the ward, the doctor was examining Du Qiang.

Upon seeing Qian Xue, he asked.

Are you a family member of the patient?

The doctor looked at Qian Xue, who was stunned for a moment before raising her head and saying.

"Yes, I am his wife."

Du Qiang's eyes welled up with tears, and he couldn't help but laugh.

The doctor was startled by Qian Xue's voice.

As long as she's a wife, that's fine, but why was that answer given so loudly?

"Let me tell you, he just had surgery and can't eat solid food yet. He can only have liquid food, like porridge."

"Also, whatever you do, don't let him get out of bed. His wound is a bit deep. Although it's been stitched up, there's a risk that the stitches might reopen if he moves around, understand?"

The doctor spoke earnestly to Qian Xue.

Qian Xue nodded.

"I can do it."

Qian Xue said earnestly.

After the doctor left, Du Qiang glanced at Qian Xue cautiously.

"I...I...I can do it myself, I'll be fine if I eat less..."

"If I can't hold it in, could you call a nurse for me then..."

Upon hearing that he would have to satisfy his physical needs in bed, Du Qiang's face turned red.

He had never been served like this before, especially not by Qian Xue, and he didn't want her to do any of the dirty work.

"No need to find a nurse, I can manage!"

Qian Xue looked at Du Qiang and said seriously.

Xia Lan had prepared everything she needed. Since she had chosen to be his wife, she would not back down because of this.

"...Xiaoxue".

Du Qiang pursed his lips, his eyes welling up with tears of emotion.

When Xia Lan returned home, Qian's father and mother were standing next to Xiao Yuqin.

"Oh dear, Du Qiang, something so serious happened, why didn't you tell us..."

It seemed that Qian's mother had only just learned of Du Qiang's injury, and she was so anxious that she dragged Qian's father to the hospital.

"Aunt Qian, you shouldn't go."
