Xia Lan and Qin Jun made all the arrangements before she told Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan that she would take them to the military base the next day.
"Yay! Mom, you're the best!"
Tuantuan was overjoyed.
"Qin Youyou, let's make a three-point agreement! Once you're in the army, don't be willful anymore! It's a very serious place..."
Xia Lan called out Tuan Tuan's full name, and as soon as Tuan Tuan heard Xia Lan call her by her full name, she knew that this was no joke.

"Mom, what's the military like?"
Yuanyuan looked at Xia Lan. He remembered the army, but it didn't seem quite like the place he had imagined.
“You’ve only ever been to the family quarters before, and you’ve never been to the training grounds. This time, I’ll have Grandpa take you to see real training!”
Xia Lan said to Yuan Yuan.
"Um."
Hearing Xia Lan say this, Yuan Yuan became interested.
He didn't want to visit the family quarters; he wanted to see the real thing.
"If I really want to join the army in the future, will you agree to let me go, Mom?"
Xia Lan rubbed Yuan Yuan's head and was about to leave the room when she heard Yuan Yuan ask a question.
"I will support you as long as it's something you want to do."
Xia Lan turned around and smiled at Yuan Yuan.
"But you have to promise me that you will be careful and come back to see me safely."
Xia Lan sighed softly, ultimately unable to finish her sentence with conviction.
