"Some men are worth your sacrifice, just like your father, he is worth my sacrifice."
Xia Lan looked at Qin Youyou.
“You’ve met Aunt Qian Yan before. Her ex-husband wasn’t worth her effort. He was dishonest and only wanted Aunt Qian Yan’s wealth and power. He deliberately got close to her.”
"How can I tell if a man likes me or is just after me?"
Qin Youyou felt that this kind of thing was too complicated, and her little brain couldn't quite grasp it.
"Before you meet anyone, all of these are just preparations for you."
Xia Lan couldn't answer that question either.
"Mom, why did you believe Dad back then?"
Qin Youyou looked at Xia Lan, who paused.
That's a really good question.
Xia Lan thought for a moment.
"Perhaps it's because he didn't abandon me while I was unconscious?"
"Or perhaps, he will pave the way for me, so that I have no worries?"
"Whether a man cares about you or not is best revealed when you are in trouble."
"When everyone else was ignoring me, only he was willing to take me home, take care of me, and treat my illness."
Xia Lan's words made Qin Youyou blink.
"Aren't you afraid that your father has ulterior motives towards you?"
Qin Youyou asked curiously.
"What was there to be afraid of? I had nothing back then."
"If it weren't for your father helping me get everything back, your mother would be nowhere to be found right now..."
Xia Lan gently patted Qin Youyou's head and chuckled.
“At that time, your father was like a hero. He stood up for me and got back your grandparents’ money. Your mother couldn’t take the house with her, so she left it behind.”
"But your father also stood up for me, destroying the contents of the box and preventing my uncle from using it."
Xia Lan felt happy whenever she recalled that scene.
That's why she was willing to trust Qin Yu and stay.
Qin Youyou blinked as she listened to Xia Lan and Qin Yu's love story.
"You will meet many men in the future, and they may all be interested in you and want to be your life partner."
"Your parents don't have many demands on you, but we hope you won't wrong yourself."
“If you’re not doing well, or if you’ve been wronged, you still have me and your dad. If we’re gone, you still have Yuanyuan.”
"Always remember that we love you, okay?"
Xia Lan gently hugged Qin Youyou, and Qin Youyou nodded heavily.
"I see."
Qin Youyou obediently replied.
“Take every relationship seriously, even if it may not work out in the end, at least you will have a clear conscience and no regrets.”
"Most importantly, never give yourself to a man too easily."
Xia Lan took this seriously and earnestly.
Qin Youyou nodded in response.
Qin Youyou listened attentively to Qin Yu's teachings afterward, and Qin Yu felt much more at ease seeing how dedicated his daughter was.
After teaching her daughter, she went to teach Qin Mo.
During that period, Qin Youyou and Qin Mo had to receive tutoring from Qin Yu every day.
The longer Qin Ming stayed at the Qin family home, the less he wanted to leave.
Qin Ming still does whatever he wants, but there are some differences.
For example, if he has a heart condition, Xiao Yuqin will prevent him from eating things that are bad for his heart, especially tobacco and alcohol.
Qin Ming used to throw tantrums, but in the Qin family, he could only obediently listen to them.
But if he really craved it, Qin Yu and Qin Jun would take him to the study, where the three of them would sneak a sip.
Despite being very stingy, Qin Ming was quite pleased with it.
There was even a hint of smugness in his eyes, like someone who had done something bad behind Xiao Yuqin's back.
The warmth of the Qin family dispelled the hostility in Qin Ming.
Qin Mo's sudden rise to power is certainly not something that will be accepted by the people.
Who would listen to a thirteen-year-old?
On his first day in office, Qin Mo looked at the crowd of people who could be his great-grandfathers, nodded to them, and left with his butler.
Everyone who had expected him to do something was dumbfounded.
Qin Mo did nothing to them, but silently followed Qin Ming and Qin Yu to learn. In addition to his daily lessons, he had to accept the tests from the two of them.
Without Qin Ming's suppression, and with Qin Mo being just a kid.
Everyone seemed to have received a signal and began to extend their claws.
Xia Lan was unaware that she looked completely bewildered when Hong Lian blocked her path.
"Honey, are you really going to let your son take over that den of wolves? Aren't you afraid something will happen to him?"
Honglian leaned against the car door, her gaze towards Xia Lan filled with seriousness.
"He was originally the son of the wolf king."
Xia Lan glanced at Hong Lian.
"You should know that the Wolf King's legacy is never just passed down through one generation."
Xia Lan's words made Hong Lian hesitate for a moment.
He was pondering Xia Lan's words.
"All the lying in wait is for the purpose of striking decisively."
Xia Lan patted Hong Lian, walked past her, and headed home.
"I send you."
Honglian curled her lips into a smile; he had actually been taught a lesson by her.
"I thought we would never have any contact again, but I never imagined the world was so small."
Honglian drove Xialan home.
Xia Lan shook her head.
"Don't even mention you, I never thought things would turn out this way."
Xia Lan herself found it amazing; everything that happened was so unexpected yet seemed perfectly natural.
It's perfectly normal for Lao Tzu to find his son and pass on his knowledge to him.
