"That's good!"
Xia Lan wiped the sweat from Wu Shishi's forehead and told Wu Shishi about Yang Ziye's reaction.
"Your son Ziye is grinning like a fool. He's probably on the phone right now telling everyone he's a dad..."
After Wu Shishi entered the delivery room, Xia Lan told her about Yang Ziye's affairs. Hearing that Yang Ziye cared more about her than the child, Wu Shishi couldn't help but smile.
Really?
"Of course it's true, he cares more about you than the kids!"
Xia Lan knew that this was exactly what Wu Shishi wanted to hear right now, and said with a smile.
"hey-hey."
"At least he has a conscience."
Wu Shishi's resentment lessened considerably. Knowing that she was in pain, he stayed by her side outside the door, never leaving her side.
"Shishi!!!"
Wu Jianmin's loud shout came from outside the door. Wu Shishi watched as Wu Jianmin ran into the room, his eyes glistening with tears.
"Dad, you're a grandfather now."
Wu Shishi smiled at Wu Jianmin.
How are you?
Wu Jianmin glanced at the child in Xia Lan's eyes, his eyes lit up, but he immediately turned back to look at Wu Shishi.
He cares more about Wu Shishi than about the children.
"I'm fine."
Wu Shishi smiled at Wu Jianmin.
"Hey! Why are you running so fast!"
Wu's mother walked in, panting, and glared at Wu Jianmin, who had disappeared as soon as he got out of the car at the hospital.
She couldn't catch up with him no matter how hard she tried.
"mom."
Wu Shishi smiled when she saw her mother.
"Are you alright? Does your wound hurt? I made you some nourishing soup. Now that you're a mother, you can't be so willful anymore."
Looking at her daughter's pale face, Wu's mother gently wiped it clean, and didn't forget to give her some instructions.
"Um."
Wu Shishi smiled at her.
Since Yang Ziye argued with Wu's mother for her sake, Wu's mother has stopped keeping such a close eye on Wu Shishi. Although she was angry, she was still her daughter after all, and her anger subsided quickly.
Although he no longer cares, he still gives a lot of verbal advice.
"Oh dear, where is my grandson?"
When Wu's mother turned to look at the child in Xia Lan's arms, her expression immediately changed.
"Aunt Wu, here's your grandson, weighing six pounds and four ounces. He's a very strong young man."
Xia Lan smiled and placed the child in Wu's mother's hands. Wu's mother looked at her grandson with great joy.
"Let me see too?"
Wu Jianmin looked at his mother holding the child and found it quite unusual, so he couldn't help but want to take the child from her.
"Hey, don't move, I just hugged you!"
Wu's mother held the child and refused to give him up.
Wu Jianmin could only watch longingly, unable to hug her.
Xia Lan chuckled softly.
"Look how rare your baby is."
Wu Shishi smiled broadly.
"Shishi! Where are you!"
Yang's mother's voice came from outside the door, and Wu Shishi responded.
"Mom, I'm here."
Upon hearing Wu Shishi's response, Yang's mother finally found the ward.
"Are you alright? How could it start in the middle of the night! You scared me to death, and you didn't even call me."
Yang's mother looked at Wu Shishi nervously.
"You've had a tough time, it must have been really tough for you."
Yang's mother held Wu Shishi's hand, then took out a large red envelope from her bag and placed it in Wu Shishi's hand.
"Mom, this..."
"This is what you deserve. You've worked hard to carry on the Yang family line and give birth to our eldest grandson."
Yang's mother smiled at Wu Shishi.
"Thank you, Mom."
Wu Shishi nodded with a smile.
“Ziye went to pick up his grandfather. When the old man heard that you had given birth, he was anxious to come over, so I came over by myself.”
Yang's mother explained on Yang Ziye's behalf that he was going to pick up Grandpa Yang.
"You are now a great contributor to our Yang family."
Grandpa Yang was overjoyed. He had thought he might never see Yang Ziye get married and have children before he died, but he never expected to see his descendants in his lifetime.
The old man even stopped playing chess and insisted on coming to the hospital for a checkup.
"hey-hey."
Wu Shishi chuckled softly.
Seeing that she had people around her, Xia Lan and Qin Yu exchanged a smile.
The two tacitly left the room to them and went home to catch up on their sleep.
"Hey, where are Lanlan and Qin Yu?"
When Wu Shishi found out, the two had already left.
"I have to thank them this time. If it weren't for them, things wouldn't have gone so smoothly."
Wu Shishi said.
"We really need to thank you."
Wu Jianmin and the others exchanged glances. They remembered Xia Lan's great help this time.
After the couple caught up on their sleep, Xiao Yuqin learned that Wu Shishi had given birth.
"Oh, she's given birth?"
Xiao Yuqin quickly went to the kitchen to make soup.
"Let's go check on it once the soup is ready."
Xiao Yuqin smiled.
"Mom, Aunt Wu had a baby boy?"
Qin Youyou's eyes lit up; she hadn't seen her little brother yet!
"Can we go take a look?"
Qin Youyou also wanted to go see it.
"Let's go together then!"
Qin Jun chuckled. He had stayed at Wu Shishi's house for a while, so he should go and visit her.
"Then let's go together."
Qin Ming chuckled.
Xia Lan smiled and agreed, and the whole family went to the hospital to visit Wu Shishi.
The entire ward was full, with everyone sharing in Wu Shishi's joy at giving birth.
"Shishi, you must take good care of yourself during your postpartum period, so you don't develop any health problems."
Xiao Yuqin looked at Wu Shishi's pale face and patted her hand with heartache.
"Don't worry, Aunt Xiao, I will definitely listen to you."
