"We can't possibly make that many!"
Looking at the group of more than thirty people, Ma Sheng's eyes first lit up, then dimmed again.
"So, call out all your capable brothers, this is a big job."
"I'll take a small cut of whatever we make, and you can split the rest."
Xia Lan looked at them and smiled.
"No, that won't do. We agreed that we would work for you. You've already given us fifty a month, and we're more than satisfied."
Ma Sheng and the others immediately shook their heads, saying that they owed their current situation to Xia Lan's help.
One should not be ungrateful. They agreed that they would only take their wages, and everything else would belong to Xia Lan.
Xia Lan chuckled softly at their reaction and gave up trying to persuade them.
"Then you guys should divide the work properly! See if any other brothers want to come. I'll give you a few days to prepare."
"Those who can come will receive the same treatment as you: a starting salary of forty, and fifty after becoming a full-time employee."
Xia Lan said earnestly to them.
"Thank you, boss."
Ma Sheng was so excited that he quickly called over his comrades-in-arms.
When Qin Yu came to find Xia Lan, he was accompanied by a number of people.
Xia Lan looked at Qin Yu, puzzled.
“If you ask them to find help, am I not supposed to send them to you? If you don’t say you need people for the renovation, I’ll send them to a security company.”
Qin Yu explained with a light laugh.
"They all do?"
Xia Lan's eyes sparkled.
"Of course."
Qin Yu gently pinched Xia Lan's nose and said affectionately.
