Xia Lan's heart tightened. The person outside the door, seeing that the door wouldn't budge, couldn't help but ask in a low voice.
"Is it really possible that his wife is home alone?"
“I saw him leave with my own eyes, so his wife must be home alone.”
Hearing their words, Xia Lan's eyes sharpened. They were targeting her. They knew Qin Yu wasn't home, but what did they want to do?

On his way home, Qin Yu felt increasingly anxious.

"Big brother, there are two people carrying drugs. Sister-in-law may have been drugged," the second brother rushed over and said to Qin Yu.
"They left not long ago, heading west."
"Fifth Brother is fast; he's already gone after them!"
The third brother said to Qin Yu.
“Your sister-in-law didn’t faint; she’s fully conscious.” Qin Yu’s eyes sharpened.
"Chase!"
Qin Yu knew this matter couldn't be delayed, so he immediately ran westward.
Xia Lan was forcibly bound hand and foot and gagged by the two men, and was driven towards the west entrance of the village.
Because she was not unconscious, Xia Lan kept struggling, but her strength was too weak to break free from the two men; she could only slow them down.
"This woman is such a nuisance. If I had the time, I would definitely give her a good slap."
One of them gritted his teeth and said, "I was almost kicked in the eye by Xia Lan again."
“…Stop struggling.” The other man glanced at Xia Lan, his eyes filled with warning.
Xia Lan rolled her eyes; if she didn't struggle, she was doomed.
Just as they were about to reach Xicun, Lao Wu finally caught up. Seeing the two people ahead carrying something that kept twisting, Lao Wu gritted his teeth and quickened his pace.
Hearing the sound behind them, the two turned around and paused. The fifth brother seized the opportunity and pounced on the man behind him, knocking him to the ground.
Xia Lan lost her balance and fell to the side.
The moment she fell to the ground, Xia Lan endured the pain and rolled towards Lao Wu.
The other man's expression changed drastically, and he lunged at Xia Lan, trying to stop her from escaping to Lao Wu.
"Big Brother!!!" The fifth brother shouted, holding one of the men down tightly.
Xia Lan heard Lao Wu's voice and hoped that Qin Yu would appear, silently repeating Qin Yu's name in her heart.
Xia Lan was grabbed by another man who wanted to take her away. He picked her up and was about to carry her away.
