Xia Lan looked at the woman and child, and Qin Yu followed her gaze.
The child was quiet, but the woman kept shaking the child.
Xia Lan felt uncomfortable just looking at it.
"Sister-in-law, such a young child shouldn't be shaking his head like that!"

The woman smiled with a hint of pride.

Wang Xiaoling introduced herself to Xia Lan.
Xia Lan paused when she heard the name of the child in her arms.
"Dog Egg?"
"Haha, that's what the old folks in the village say: a humble name makes a child easier to raise! His formal name will be given to him by his father! I've never been to school and I can't read."
Wang Xiaoling chuckled at Xia Lan. This was a tradition in the village, and besides, she was illiterate, so she simply called her son Gou Dan (Dog Egg).

"My name is Xia Lan, and this is my husband, Qin Yu."
"Hello."

Wang Xiaoling looked Qin Yu up and down, and saw her husband in him; he also liked to keep a stern face like that.

Seeing that the child was already fast asleep, Xia Lan put the child on Wang Xiaoling's bed.
