The man's slender, pale fingertips carefully traced the girl's picturesque eyebrows and eyes.
The emotion in his eyes was obscure and difficult to understand.
He closed his eyes, restrained himself and withdrew his hand, his Adam's apple rolling up and down.
The cold moonlight casts light on his delicate and desolate silhouette.
"Good night, Shushu," he said.
The sound of a door closing was heard softly in the silent room.
The next second, Panshu slowly opened her watery and clear eyes.
She frowned and looked at the shabby dark brown door. Fine snow slowly drifted in through the cracks in the window and then melted.
She lowered her eyes and saw a light pink dress next to the pillow. She was slightly stunned.
The material of the dress was excellent, and it felt soft and comfortable to the touch. Pan Shu stroked the texture of the dress, and her eyes darkened slightly.
What does Wen Yao mean by this...?
She lay down again, feeling overwhelmed by fatigue, and before long, she fell into a deep sleep.
The next day.
Panshu was awakened by a knock on the door.
She washed up briefly, changed into the clothes that Wen Yao had left beside her bed last night, and tied her hair, which had turned slightly yellow due to malnutrition, into a fishbone braid, letting it hang down to her left shoulder.
Outside the door were Fang Han and another strange man.
There was a look of deep surprise in the man's eyes, and he stuttered and couldn't speak. Fang Han nudged him with her elbow, and then he came back to his senses.
"Hello... hello, Miss Ban, my name is Ye Jun, and Mr. Wen sent me to pick you up." Ye Jun looked honest. After saying that, he scratched his head and smiled foolishly.
Ban Shu nodded and asked softly, "Should I... go with you now?"
"Tsk, just pretending." Fang Han sneered.
"Yes, but Mr. Wen is still in a meeting. I will take you to familiarize yourself with the base first."
Ye Jun greeted Fang Han and said, "Okay, go get your mission. Mr. Wen asked me to show Miss Ban around."
Fang Han glanced at Pan Shu with disdain. Suddenly, he raised his eyebrows in an ambiguous tone, "You're just lucky enough to have a face similar to that young lady. Do you really think you're that great?"
"Fang Han!" Ye Jun interrupted her angrily.
Pan Shu looked back at her with a smile on her face, without a trace of anger.
Seeing that he didn't anger Pan Shu, Fang Han's face looked even uglier.
Pan Shu blinked, and she curled the corners of her lips sweetly, "Sister, I don't understand what you are saying."
Fang Han gave her a strange look, "How old are you?"
"Thirteen." Pan Shu smiled, "Not yet an adult."
So why are you arguing with a kid?
Fang Han automatically filled in the second half of the sentence in his mind.
Fang Han's face turned pale and blue for a moment. He gritted his teeth and said coldly, "I'm going to get the mission."
Ye Jun said apologetically: "Fang Han is not a bad person, but he is narrow-minded..."
"But, you're so small... You're so beautiful, I didn't realize it. But now that you've said that, it seems you're really small."
“…”
Ban Shu glanced at him with a half-smile, "How do you know my last name is Ban? I don't think I've ever told you Mr. Wen."
Ye Jun scratched his head and said, "Sir, I have looked up all your information. I took a look. I'm sorry."
Pan Shu looked at the dark sky in the distance and squinted her eyes.
"Wen Yao..."
Ye Jun called her several times, "Miss Ban, Miss Ban, let's go to the cafeteria now."
"good."
"The one on the left is the cafeteria, and the one in front on the right is the mission center. Fang Han goes there to receive missions. Completing missions can be exchanged for points. Points are like currency, which support her expenses in the base, such as eating and bathing..."
Ye Jun's voice suddenly stopped.
Pan Shu looked up curiously and saw a tall and handsome man casually meeting her gaze.
There were many people following him.
They seemed to be discussing something.
Wen Yao turned sideways and whispered something to the person next to him, then walked towards Ban Shu.
The black watch on his pale wrist was a stark contrast. His eyes, as black as ink, glanced at Ban Shu, then looked at Ye Jun, "Go and organize the content of today's meeting and hand it over to me."
"Yes, sir."
After everyone left, Wen Yao looked at Ban Shu again.
Countless pairs of eyes, either curious or jealous, fell on Panshu at the same time.
"Wen Yao..." Pan Shu timidly raised her wet eyes, her dark eyes filled with fragile emotions, which made people feel very pitiful. "Can I call you that?"
Wen Yao lowered his eyes and looked at her.
After a long while, he slowly curved his lips and said, "Okay."
"Just look at what you want to eat." Wen Yao took her into the cafeteria, "From now on, just swipe this card."
This is a black magnetic card. Under the fluorescent light, the magnetic card emits a faint golden light, and the two words "Wen Yao" are printed in a small corner of the magnetic card.
Pan Shu vaguely guessed what it was.
But she subconsciously felt that it was impossible.
After all, Wen Yao's strategy value is still at 5.
"Is this your points card?" Pan Shu looked up at him blankly. He was very tall and it was difficult for her to look up.
The man's slender, beautiful fingertips trembled, and he pursed his lips uncomfortably, "Hmm."
Pan Shu stared at the card quietly for a few seconds, then slowly shook her head, "I can't take it. This is your card. If you give it to me, what will you use it for?"
Wen Yao opened his mouth, wanting to say that it was okay with him, not okay at all.
But he shut up again.
Keep silent.
He nodded, and after Ban Shu picked out some food, Wen Yao took a box of milk and put it on the plate, then took the plate to swipe the card.
Pan Shu stayed where she was, looking at Wen Yao's back.
He paused thoughtfully for a few seconds.
