His hanging hands slowly clenched into fists, and his eyes became red uncontrollably.
Gu Chi took a deep breath.
Xiao Yaner stretched his head to look around curiously, and was slapped down by Banshu.
"It's so cold... so cold!"
He spoke haltingly and his voice was leaking.
Ban Shu narrowed her eyes and said, "Ban Yan, be honest."
Xiao Yaner pouted, held her head with her two little fleshy hands looking aggrieved, and hummed twice.
Gu Chi lowered his eyes.
The whistling wind blew across Ban Shu's increasingly charming eyebrows. She raised her lips and glanced at Gu Chi lightly, "Where's Ban Ruo?"
"Ban Ruo?" Gu Chi sneered. He slowly walked to Ban Shu, ignoring the thousands of troops behind her and Jiang Zhan's hostile gaze. He lowered his head, and his complicated and indecipherable gaze fell on Ban Yan. "Dead."
Pan Shu was stunned.
"I wanted to spare her life for your sake, but she chose death herself."
Gu Chi's lips curled up into a wanton and lazy smile, "Why bother, Pan Shu, you are courting death."
Pan Shu turned her head away and didn't look at him.
Xiao Yan'er in his arms drooled as he opened his arms, as white and plump as lotus root nodes, towards Gu Chi, "Ah... hug, hug..."
He was stunned.
The next second, the cruel look in his eyes faded away silently like the tide.
Gu Chi doesn't like children.
Especially this child who almost killed him in bed.
But whenever he thought that this was Pan Shu and him, Gu Chi's originally hard heart softened little by little.
He reached out his hand and touched Xiao Yan'er's head, "Be good."
Pan Shu didn't stop him.
But his eyes remained cold.
"Banshu, I will grant you the position of queen and grant you grace and honor. Isn't that enough?" Gu Chi was puzzled.
Pan Shu couldn't help laughing out loud.
She tilted her head, the smile on her lips unchanged, and said sincerely, "Gu Chi, you are really good at calculating."
Gu Chi frowned.
Pan Shu half-closed her eyes, hiding the sarcasm in them, "So, I still have to thank you profusely?"
"Ban Shu!"
Gu Chili shouted.
Pan Shu turned a deaf ear to him, glanced at the soldiers behind him, and said coldly, "Gu Chi, if you surrender, for Yan'er's sake, I will forgive all the disgusting things you have done. But if you insist on going your own way..."
She lowered her eyes and scoffed, "Then there's nothing more to say."
The air suddenly became heavy.
Gu Chi gritted his teeth, his expression grim, "You really have to force me, don't you?"
Pan Shu sat on the horse and looked down at him condescendingly.
The cold wind blew up a piece of clothes.
In the end, the battle never took place.
Gu Chi was silent for a very long time. He looked at the girl's calm and indifferent face quietly, and finally put down the sword in his hand in surrender.
The tip of the sword sank deep into the mud.
The hilt of the sword shook, making a dull "clang" sound.
He spoke each word with such intensity, chewing like blood and flesh, and raised his bloodshot eyes. "I admit defeat. How about this chance to stay by your side openly?"
Spring is here.
The fluffy white willow catkins swirled and fell onto Gu Chi's shoulders.
Like a piece of white and cold snow.
Ban Shu lightly drew the long sword from her waist and placed it across Gu Chi's neck. "I'm not asking you to give in."
The sharp blade left a tiny scar on the man's fair neck.
Blood oozes out.
"But the people of Shangjing can no longer bear another heavy blow." Pan Shu loosened her grip slightly, and the sword penetrated even deeper. "Gu Chi, you owe them so much. You owe them so many lives."
Gu Chi curled his lips dejectedly.
Ban Yan didn't understand anything and just stared at Gu Chi with her round eyes blinking.
She smiled happily with her rosy little mouth.
From this perspective, Xiao Yan'er and Gu Chi seem to be carved from the same mold.
Imperial city.
The smell of blood had already faded so much that it was almost inaudible. Ban Shu quickly pushed open the iron door of the prison. The chains made a crisp clattering sound, and Ban Ruo's eyes, which had been closed, slowly opened.
Seeing that it was Pan Shu, she curled her lips lightly, "You're here."
There were a few bloodstains on the dirty wall.
It was probably from Banruo. The wounds on her body had dried up long ago.
Pan Shu asked the jailer to open the cell door.
Ban Ruo looked at Ban Shu's face quietly. She stretched out her hand and traced Ban Shu's delicate features with her cold fingertips. "You are not her. When did your soul change..."
She thought about it carefully and said to herself, "Perhaps I changed my mind from the moment I fell in love with you."
Ban Shu squatted quietly in front of her.
There was no panic at all about being exposed.
"I'm a prisoner," Ban Ruo reached out to grab a ray of light reflecting from the window, his expression relieved, "I should have died long ago, just to see you again, and now I have fulfilled my wish."
"You can live your life the way you want."
Banruo laughed softly.
She stared into Panshu's eyes, "Your eyes are so pure."
After saying this, Banruo covered her mouth in pain, but scarlet blood rushed down through her fingers, and a strong smell of rust spread instantly.
Ban Shu was stunned. She held onto Ban Ruo, but her expression remained unchanged.
Ban Ruo smiled softly, "I'm sorry... I soiled your clothes. It's not bad to be able to... die in Ah Shu's arms."
Her hands, which wanted to touch Banshu, slowly and weakly dropped down.
Probably after she was defeated by Gu Chi, she wanted to die.
After all, Ban Ruo is such a proud person.
But she kept holding on.
Finally, before she died, she saw her Ah Shu for the last time.
Banruo didn't dare to express her love, for fear that this filthy and deformed love would defile her Ashu.
