What a little mouse that can't even pretend properly.
Lu Xiyu sneered.
He had never concealed his feelings for Pan Shu. He had never taken Jiang Zhao and Jiang Chen, two children who had barely grown their hair, seriously. They were just little rats that had no competitiveness and could only jump around and annoy others.
In comparison, Lu Xiyu even hated Jiang Chen a little more.
Compared to the spoiled Jiang Zhao.
Jiang Chen's thoughts are even harder to fathom.
The ward was filled with the smell of disinfectant. It wasn't unpleasant, but it would make people dizzy if they smelled it for a long time.
Pan Shu went out to buy daily necessities for Jiang Zhao, leaving only Jiang Chen and Lu Xiyu in the ward.
The boy sat in a wheelchair, his thin white eyelids quietly closed, and faint blue blood vessels were faintly visible. In the sunlight, the boy looked even more frail and pitiful.
Lu Xiyu is at the other extreme.
He was powerful and indifferent, and just standing there brought an endless sense of oppression to people.
This is the arrogant aura that is cultivated after being in a high position for a long time.
Lu Xiyu sneered, "You are much smarter than your brother."
Jiang Chen closed his eyes and said nothing.
Lu Xiyu felt embarrassed and raised an eyebrow, but she continued without any embarrassment, "But how long do you think she can keep being nice to you? She has supported Jiang Zhao for eleven years, and now she can just say she doesn't want him anymore, let alone you."
The young man slowly opened his eyelids and said, "Don't worry about it."
When Ban Shu came back, Lu Xiyu had already left.
The boy opened his moist almond-shaped eyes, a layer of warm mist in front of his dark pupils. He looked pitiful and helpless, "Sister."
Pan Shu's eyes softened, "Well, what's wrong?"
"Lu Xiyu said you would not want me."
The boy whimpered and complained.
His eyes were a beautiful peach color, and his features were soft and beautiful, which made him even more lovable.
Pan Shu chuckled, "Do you believe it?"
Jiang Chen slowly shook his head. He rested his head lightly on Ban Shu's legs, closed his eyes, and rubbed against her like a kitten. "Will sister also abandon Jiang Chen one day?"
"Won't."
After receiving Banshu's answer, the boy curled up his red lips in satisfaction.
He said slowly, "Then sister, you can't regret it."
"Um."
Autumn came in the blink of an eye, and it was time to be discharged from the hospital. Jiang Chen's injuries had almost healed, but his eyes showed no sign of regaining sight.
The weather was getting cooler in the evening. Ban Shu bent down, zipped up the boy's coat, and pushed him home.
Suddenly, she stopped.
Jiang Chen glanced sideways, "Sister, what's wrong?"
Pan Shu raised her eyes, a hint of impatience and annoyance in her distinct black and white pupils. She glanced at Jiang Zhao standing in the dark, leaned over and said to Jiang Chen, "I remembered that I forgot to buy something. Wait here for me."
The boy didn't suspect anything and nodded obediently.
There was a slight smile on Panshu's face as she stroked his soft hair.
Jiang Zhao, who was standing not far away, was standing under the sycamore tree, looking at Pan Shu quietly with his pair of noble and narrow phoenix eyes.
Trying to find a hint of tenderness in her eyes.
But... there's nothing.
Jiang Zhao laughed at himself.
Pan Shu walked in front of Jiang Zhao. She didn't know when he had grown so tall that she had to look up to look him in the eye. "Don't show up again."
She spoke in a low voice because she was worried that Jiang Chen might hear her.
So low that it gives people the illusion of tenderness and affection.
Jiang Zhao put one hand in his pocket, trying his best to look less embarrassed, even though he felt so uncomfortable that even breathing felt like holding a knife, his throat was sore, and every word seemed to be squeezed out with great difficulty, "Sister, do you really not want me anymore?"
He wanted to laugh.
But when he pulled his lips, they were terribly stiff.
Jiang Zhao simply gave up and stared at Ban Shu expressionlessly. His deep phoenix eyes were stubbornly locked on Ban Shu's face.
She had never looked at him like this before.
Strangeness, impatience, and even boredom.
Jiang Zhao felt an indescribable sense of powerlessness rising from the bottom of his heart. A sardonic smile crossed his gorgeous face. "I don't understand, sister. Sister, you and Jiang Zhao have been with each other for over ten years. Are you really going to just say no to this relationship? What do I mean to you? What does Jiang Zhao mean to you?"
Tools to get the job done.
Panshu thought.
Especially when he found out that she had chosen the wrong target.
Pan Shu's hatred for Jiang Zhao reached its peak.
She is indeed such a selfish and indifferent person.
Apart from completing the mission, she saw no value in Jiang Zhao. Ten long years passed, and she suddenly realized that she had even mistaken the male protagonist.
Pan Shu knew that she shouldn't blame Jiang Zhao.
but.
In the end, she took her anger out on others.
Nothing is more important than the mission.
Ban Shu's eyes were filled with a hint of impatience. She raised her eyes and said, "Jiang Zhao, no one has wronged you. I have raised you for so many years and have never treated you unfairly. What's more, now that you have returned to the Jiang family, money and power are at your fingertips. Why bother me again?"
Her tone was gentle, "So, don't appear in front of me again, and don't bother Jiang Chen. Let's just part ways amicably."
"Part ways amicably?" Jiang Zhao smiled sarcastically. "After more than ten years of entanglement, how can we part ways amicably?"
"Sister, you really have no heart."
Jiang Zhao's eyes were red. "Oh, Jiang Chen is just a waste, a waste that the Jiang family doesn't want."
"I want it." Ban Shu said softly.
Jiang Zhao was stunned. "What?"
Pan Shu looked at him steadily, "Even if Jiang Chen is a waste, he still has me, and I want him."
