Chapter 184 Lost

Lin Wanxing stood silently in the courtyard waiting. After an unknown amount of time, the door to the house was finally pushed open.

A young man came out from inside. He also had some problems walking, but not as severely as his second brother. He just walked with an unusual gait.

Lin Wanxing looked at him, then quickly went inside.

The old Chinese medicine doctor sat at his desk, holding a pen and writing something in a notebook.

"Sit down, where do you feel unwell?" The old Chinese medicine doctor turned around and pulled out some Chinese medicine from the cabinet behind him. He wore his reading glasses and looked carefully at the scale.

"Hurry up, I have other things to do."

Lin Wanxing quickly sat down in front of him. He thought for a moment and said, "Sir, do you remember? My wife and I came here last time with Qin Zhihao."

When the old Chinese medicine doctor heard Qin Zhihao's name, he looked up and glanced at Lin Wanxing, and immediately remembered that strange patient.

"Is your partner's leg better?"

Lin Wanxing didn't expect the old Chinese medicine doctor to ask about his leg right away. He shook his head and said, "My second brother's leg has never gotten better over the years. How could it suddenly get better all of a sudden?"

The old Chinese medicine doctor paused in his work, pushed up his glasses, and asked in surprise, "Wasn't his leg already healed?"

“What? That’s impossible. My second brother’s legs haven’t gotten better all these years. He needs a cane to walk. You saw him struggling to walk the other day, didn’t you?”

“My second brother is a strong person, so he has worked very hard on rehabilitation over the years.”

Lin Wanxing didn't believe the old Chinese medicine doctor's words. He was by his second brother's side, and it was obvious that his brother's leg hadn't healed yet. He trusted his own eyes.

"It was because I saw his leg that I was able to confirm that he was indeed cured, and that he must have been cured a long time ago." The old Chinese medicine doctor told the truth directly, looking at the silly-looking child in front of him.

"As his lover, didn't you know that his leg had always been fine?"

Lin Wanxing's beautiful eyes trembled for a moment. He was shocked by the old Chinese medicine doctor's words. "You mean my second brother's leg has been healed for a long time?"

“Mental health issues should be addressed by a psychologist. Qin Zhihao told me this when he brought the person over last time. He said his friend’s leg had long since healed, but due to the car accident, he suffered psychological trauma and therefore always felt that his leg had not fully recovered.”

“His leg should have healed a long time ago. I’m just a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, and I can’t treat mental illnesses. If you really want to completely eradicate your mental illness, you should find a psychologist.”

Lin Wanxing was stunned for a long time after listening to the old Chinese medicine doctor's words.

Second Brother's leg has long since healed; even Qin Zhihao knows this. Why would he lie to me?

Lin Wanxing gritted his teeth. If it weren't for the photos sent by that stranger, he probably would have been kept in the dark for the rest of his life.

Lin Wanxing simply couldn't believe that her second brother would lie to her; he had actually pretended to be lame to deceive her.

Lin Wanxing felt a pang of sadness when she thought about how he used to limp.

And the last time they had a conflict, my second brother brought up his leg, which is why I softened my heart.

What on earth is going on? Could it be that my second brother has been faking his lameness all along?

Lin Wanxing walked out of the traditional Chinese medicine clinic, looking dejected. He was really sad and couldn't understand why his second brother would lie to him.

He didn't care about Fang Ze and Shen Taimin's affairs, because those people deserved to die anyway.

But my second brother shouldn't have lied to me.

He could have easily told himself that he did all those things, and that it was no big deal, but he shouldn't have acted like it was none of his business in front of him.

He's lying to himself.

Just like that text message said.

I'm just a fool who gets completely fooled.

My second brother is fooling me, treating me like a fool.

It's okay if everyone treats him like a fool, but Second Brother can't. Second Brother can't treat himself like a fool.

Lin Wanxing started crying as soon as he left the traditional Chinese medicine clinic; he cried silently.

I feel so upset and frustrated.

Lin Wanxing thought her second brother was wonderful in every way. He valued family ties and was kind to others. But now that she had learned some of the truth, Lin Wanxing realized that it was all a lie, all of it was a lie.

The second brother he knew was a fabrication, something that didn't exist at all.

Lin Wanxing couldn't help but cry when she thought of this, until her eyes were swollen and her vision was blurred.

Lin Wanxing wandered aimlessly through the streets. He was in a terrible mood, more upset than he had ever been before.

He had never felt this bad during those dark days in the Chen family.

He didn't know why things had turned out this way. He recalled the first time he met his second brother. His brother was sitting on the sofa, completely out of place amidst the dazzling lights and bustling crowds behind him. He was so beautiful, like a prince from a fairy tale.

But now this prince is completely different from what he appears to be.

At this moment, Lin Wanxing kept recalling the past. When Fang Ze had his accident, her second brother still showed a regretful look in front of her.

I was so foolish back then that I advised my second brother not to be too soft-hearted or too kind, and I felt sorry for people like Fang Ze.

Looking back now, I realize how utterly ridiculous I was. My second brother must be laughing at me to himself for being so stupid.

I often advise my second brother to be more kind and tolerant.

Lin Wanxing wiped away his tears; he didn't know where to go.

He didn't want to go home anymore, didn't want to face his second brother anymore. His second brother probably didn't know anything yet, and he would probably still pretend to be lame in front of him.
