Chapter 228 I Will Never Let Go of Your Hand (The End)

The past few months have been peaceful. My second brother told me that Shen Taimin has been taken into custody and that I don't need to worry too much anymore. Xingxing finally breathed a sigh of relief, and my second brother can go to work at the group company again.

I heard that Shim Tae-min has been locked up. Anyway, he can no longer come out and do evil. Lin Wanxing originally wanted to go back to work, but when he went to find Boss Li, Boss Li told him that the dessert shop had been closed for a long time.

With daily sales in the red and the business unable to continue operating, and with the rent due, he decided to stop losing money.

Xingxing's only beloved job is gone just like that. How could a perfectly good dessert shop just close down like that? Lin Wanxing is very depressed.

Besides watching TV, he spent his time playing with Allen. Later, he wanted to learn to draw.

With nothing else to do, he spent his days scrolling through his phone and came across an ad for this art studio in the same city.

The art studio wasn't far away; it was on the sixth floor of a newly opened shopping mall in the new city district. Lin Wanxing would go there to learn to draw every day with his little backpack, and he would stay there for half a day before coming back very late.

At first, when he wanted to go outside to learn painting, Shen Huai'an forbade it.

The second brother said he could personally teach Lin Wanxing to draw, and that it would be more convenient to learn to draw at home, but Lin Wanxing refused, as the second brother was very busy every day.

Lin Wanxing felt sorry for him and was worried that he was too tired. The key was that his second brother was personally teaching him, and he was afraid that he would lose his heart to paint, since the two of them had done some things in their own studio.

Anyway, his second brother can't teach him, otherwise he could give up learning to draw.

Lin Wanxing really wanted to paint, just like his second brother. He hoped that one day he could paint for his second brother, so he specially enrolled in an adult painting class. He would sit obediently in the studio and paint for half a day.

Shen Huai'an would personally pick him up if he got off work early, and if he got off work late, he would have his driver Zheng Hu pick him up.

Today is Saturday, so my second brother will get off work a little earlier.

Lin Wanxing repeatedly checked her phone to see if her second brother had sent her any messages.

"Are you waiting for news?" a classmate from the same art studio asked him.

He smiled and nodded, "I'll wait for my second brother to text me. He said he'll come pick me up today."

Are you applying to an arts school?

Lin Wanxing replied with a smile, "No, it's just a hobby."

"Maybe my second brother will come to pick me up after I finish this painting," Lin Wanxing whispered.

My second brother sometimes goes to the company on weekends, but he usually gets off work a little earlier. However, he hasn't received a message from his second brother today, which is why he keeps checking his phone.

"Xingxing, your brother is here to pick you up." The art studio teacher pushed open the door and came in, whispering to him.

Lin Wanxing's eyes lit up instantly. "Okay, I'll draw for another ten minutes, then I'll leave."

Shen Huai'an stood in the rest area outside the studio, carrying red bean milk tea and spicy duck heads that Xingxing loved.

He stood there quietly, looking through the glass door at the boy inside sharpening a pencil.

He was a little different from the parents sitting outside. The others were there to pick up their children, but he was there to pick up his partner. However, his star could also be considered a child.

Lin Wanxing walked out smiling, carrying his schoolbag. Shen Huai'an patted him on the shoulder and asked, "How was your day?"

"It's alright," Lin Wanxing said, his round eyes fixed on the bag in his second brother's hand. Looking at the logo on it, he asked, "Did you buy me duck heads?"

"Go wash your hands first, then you can eat in the car later."

Lin Wanxing loves this duck head the most, which is why Shen Huai'an went out of his way to buy it.

After washing his hands, Lin Wanxing rushed to Shen Huai'an's side with his schoolbag on his back. He took the milk tea, poked it with the straw, and then took a sip of the sweet tea.

In the car, Shen Huai'an glanced at Xingxing, who was intently drinking her milk tea, and said:

"I'm off tomorrow, Xingxing, will you come with me to visit the old lady?"

The moment this person was mentioned, Lin Wanxing's brows furrowed immediately. He was a child who wore his emotions on his sleeve. He bit his straw and said unhappily, "Why do we have to go see her? I don't want to go."

"No, I don't know if she's used to living away from home. When the Shen family went to visit her, she said she missed me, so I thought I'd see her one last time. Maybe she feels guilty towards me too."

Lin Wanxing didn't know what to say; her second brother was as soft-hearted as ever.

If it were him, he would never go to see that person again in his entire life.

Just like Chen Shuhua, he never went to see him. All he could do was maintain regular contact with the hospital and know whether Chen Shuhua was alive or dead.

Since Shen Huai'an wanted to go see it, Lin Wanxing had no choice but to accompany her second brother.

The next day, they got up early.

The old lady wasn't in Jiangcheng, but in another nearby city, in a small temple. They were able to get her here through Qin Zhihao; it took a long time to drive there.

Lin Wanxing stayed close to Shen Huai'an, as he was unfamiliar with the place and was afraid of getting lost.

"Xingxing, you play around here for a while. I'll go check it out and come right back to find you."

Although the temple was not large, there was a place for people to rest next to it. Lin Wanxing did not want to see the old woman, so he followed his second brother's arrangement and obediently sat there to wait for his second brother.

After Shen Huai'an entered the temple, he saw the old lady.

The old lady was dressed simply, and she was quite surprised to see Shen Huai'an come.

"I don't know why you called me here, so please don't give me any of that insincere nonsense." Since there weren't many people around, Shen Huai'an got straight to the point.

The old lady sighed and said that she had almost become a sinner to the Shen family. Now she had no choice but to stay here. "Being driven out of the Shen family in this state and brought to such a remote place, I'm afraid I'll never be able to go back."
