Lin Wanxing returned to the Chen family as promised the next day. Xu Feng, Chen Xueping, and Chen Shuhua were already at home waiting for Lin Wanxing.

Xu Feng's smiling face sent a chill down Lin Wanxing's spine. He knew this was one of Xu Feng's usual tricks. The more gentle and smiling she was at him from childhood to adulthood, the more terrifying what awaited him behind her back was.
Looking at that face, Lin Wanxing felt as if she had returned to her childhood, when Xu Feng had gently coaxed her in the same way, making her willingly give up her engagement with her second brother.
