Mingdai frowned. "This is way too expensive."
Liu Mei chuckled awkwardly.

"If you don't trust me, I won't go. I'll wait aside until the experts have finished their assessment, then I'll come back."
Mingdai did not stop her.
"Oh well."
Liu Mei pretended to walk away.
Mingdai scanned the faces of the experts who were waiting for her to see them, and finally spotted Lin Yang, who had arrived late.
Mingdai pretended to be meeting Lin Yang for the first time and said she wanted to invite Lin Yang to appraise her jewelry.
Lin Yang agreed.
Mingdai led Lin Yang directly to Liu Mei.
"Miss Liu, I'd like to have this gentleman help me with the appraisal."
