Chapter 126 Aren't you ashamed?

Mingdai was really worried about her father's health and was determined to take him to the hospital no matter what.

Ming's father made various excuses.

"I'm much better now, and besides, I've already taken my medicine, so there's no need to go to the hospital."

Mingdai didn't care.

"You look terrible, what's wrong?"

She held onto her father's arms with both hands.

Are you going or not?

Mingdai's face darkened.

"Do you still want to go on a trip with my mom?"

Ming's father: "...Of course I'll go."

"Then let's go to the hospital."

Ming's father: "..."

Mingdai drove her father around.

Throughout the journey, Ming's father was actually suppressing his nausea. He felt terrible, his stomach was churning, but he stubbornly held it in so that his daughter wouldn't notice.

When they arrived at the hospital, Ming's father was unusually pale, and cold sweat was dripping from his nose.

Mingdai was startled.

"Dad, what's wrong? Is your stomach upset again?"

Mingdai quickly helped her father sit down and ran to register.

When she came to find her father with the number, he was pressing his stomach, his brows furrowed, and he looked very unwell.

"Dad, how are you? Can you get up? Let's go upstairs to find a doctor."

Mingdai bent down to help her father.

Ming's father felt a little dizzy and lightheaded.

I mustered my last breath and went upstairs with my daughter.

After the doctor's consultation, he also ordered a gastroscopy.

"It's fine."

Ming's father had other things to do at noon and was afraid of being delayed.

She grabbed her daughter and prevented her from paying the fees.

"I'll be fine after a rest."

Mingdai, however, refused.

"Your condition looks very serious."

She threatened her father.

"Should we call my mom over?"

Ming's father compromised in a second.

His wife came crying and sobbing, and he couldn't stand it.

As soon as he came out of the gastroscopy, Ming's father was busy answering calls from clients.

Mingdai waited for the results.

"Dad, don't go yet, wait for me."

I was afraid my dad would just take the phone call and run away.

Ming's father turned around and glanced at his slender, frowning daughter standing in the sunlight in the corridor.

Okay, it's not impossible to meet with the client.

After receiving the results, Mingdai pulled her father back to the doctor.

She was very nervous.

Although the doctor who performed the gastroscopy said there was nothing seriously wrong, Mingdai was still very scared.

Her father has stood tall and strong for so many years, and he has always been a towering figure in her heart. Now, as he gets older, various health problems keep popping up, and she feels very uncomfortable.

Have you eaten anything that irritates your stomach recently?

The doctor stared at the results for a while.

Ask Ming's father, "It must be some kind of medication. Do you usually take any medication?"

Ming's father was taken aback.

Mingdai thought about her father's heart condition.

“My dad is taking heart medication, but he’s been taking it for a while now and hasn’t experienced any stomach discomfort before.”

Mingdai also told the doctor about several kinds of medicine.

The doctor felt something was wrong.

"These medications will more or less have some impact on the stomach and intestines, but judging from the gastroscopy, your father's stomach shouldn't be this fragile. It can only be said that he took some very strong irritating medication in the past few days."

Mingdai was shocked to hear this.

She silently exchanged glances with her father.

Ming's father was completely bewildered.

"No, I really didn't take any other medicine."

"That's strange."

Although the doctor was puzzled, he said, "However, the symptoms have gradually lessened. Once the medication is completely metabolized, this discomfort will disappear."

The doctor prescribed a few more medicines and told me to take them on time, and that I would be fine in a few days.

"Are you relieved now?"

Back in the car, Ming's father pressed his still uncomfortable stomach, turned to his daughter and smiled, "You're just too nervous."

Mingdai placed her hands on the steering wheel.

I thought of what the doctor said.

"You really didn't take any other medication?"

I'm afraid that Dad might be feeling unwell elsewhere, but he's keeping it a secret.

Ming's father said helplessly, "If I really wanted to eat it, would I not tell you?"

"dad."

Mingdai hoped her father wouldn't hide it.

"You must tell me if you feel unwell."

"I know, I know."

Ming's father leaned back in his chair. Although his stomach was upset, he was also a little hungry.

"I didn't have breakfast this morning, so why don't we stay at the company and find somewhere to have lunch?"

Mingdai glanced at the time; it was almost eleven o'clock.

"OK."

Considering her father's stomach capacity, Mingdai chose a restaurant with light and bland food.

The father and daughter ate in the hall.

It offers a wide field of vision.

They had only eaten half of their meal when Ming's father suddenly pointed to a spot not far away and said to Ming Dai, "Isn't that person your friend?"

Mingdai looked over upon hearing this.

Across the street, in front of the French restaurant, He Yaonian, dressed in a suit and tie, and Fang Li, in a sweet short skirt, stood face to face.

The two of them were talking about something, and Fang Li pouted as if she was being coquettish. She twisted her body and tilted her head from time to time, which was very cute.

"Is that your friend's girlfriend?"

Ming's father stared at Fang Li for a few seconds, "She's quite cute."

Mingdai remained silent, turning her gaze away and eating quietly.

After finishing her meal and watching her father drink his medicine, Mingdai looked towards the entrance of the restaurant across the street.

He Yaonian and Fang Li were no longer there.

I have something to do this afternoon.

Ming's father did not return to the company with his daughter.

"I've already called a driver, he'll come pick me up, you can go home by yourself."

Mingdai asked her father, "How are you? Do you still feel nauseous?"

Ming's father shook his head, "I don't feel anything anymore, don't worry."

Mingdai couldn't just sit around all day doing nothing but staring at her father.

"Then you should still be more careful, and call me immediately if you feel unwell."
