Chapter 14 She will make Mo Tingchuan obediently divorce her.

"Get out of here!"

Mingdai was in so much pain that she broke out in a cold sweat.

"Get away!"

Mo Yumei and Mo Qingying watched Mingdai's painful struggle with cold indifference, their expressions even showing a sense of satisfaction, hoping that Mo Tingchuan would properly punish Mingdai.

The needle returned blood very quickly, and in no time Mingdai could see the blood rising continuously in the thin dropper.

She suddenly bit down on Mo Tingchuan's hand like a madwoman.

Mo Tingchuan cried out in pain and tried to shake her off, but Mingdai pulled out the needle and plunged it into the back of Mo Tingchuan's hand, which was still not completely withdrawn.

"Does it hurt?"

"Can you feel it?"

"Does it hurt?"

Mingdai was given five or six acupuncture needles in a row. She was so agitated that she threw herself onto the edge of the bed, pulling hard on Mo Tingchuan's suit with one hand.

Mo Tingchuan recoiled in pain, blood beads constantly oozing from the back of his hand.

Mingdai pressed the needle firmly onto his forearm with great force, kneading and pressing it so that the needle would ram and thrash inside the flesh.

"You like it this way, right? Why are you backing out? Why don't you just enjoy it! Why are you backing out!"

How could she have fallen in love with a man like that?

In the three years of their marriage, she had many opportunities to leave him and retaliate against him, so why did she insist on hoping that he would change his mind?

He did truly love her, didn't he?

The restrained affection before marriage, the ever-blooming fresh bouquets during the honeymoon, the perfectly warm milk in the morning, and the careful tucking of the blankets at night to keep her warm.

He remembered every time she took each medicine; he knew she couldn't stand the smell of cooking fumes and pushed her out of the kitchen many times; he said he would be good to her for the rest of his life...

Tears streamed down her face as Mingdai was overcome with grief. After Mo Tingchuan struggled to break free, she collapsed onto the edge of the bed, utterly defeated.

Everything was fake; it was all Mo Tingchuan's passionate performance in his attempt to make a comeback.

He Xingqiong and He Xingjian entered the ward in hushed tones, with He Xingjian carrying a bouquet of flowers in her arms.

The heartbroken Mingdai didn't notice the two of them, but Mo Tingchuan immediately stepped forward and forcefully picked her up, almost forcibly preventing the He siblings from seeing her tears.

To be honest, the sight of Dai in Mo Tingchuan's arms surprised the He siblings. He Xingqiong was completely bewildered and furious.

What's going on?

Has Mingdai lost her mind?

How could she obediently let Mo Tingchuan hold her?

This vicious family is trying to kill her!

"Mingdai".

He Xingqiong called out to Mingdai, barely suppressing the urge to rush forward and pull Mingdai out of Mo Tingchuan's arms.

"My brother came to see you."

Mingdai was almost suffocating from being choked by Mo Tingchuan. Before she could figure out what was going on, she immediately tried to break free when she heard He Xingqiong's voice.

Mo Tingchuan whispered in his ear, so softly that only the two of them could hear him.

"Forget about calling the police. Tell them it's all a misunderstanding, otherwise I can't guarantee the video won't end up on your parents' phones."

Mo Tingchuan didn't want to do this, but Ming Dai wouldn't listen to a word he said, so he had no choice.

When Mo Tingchuan released Mingdai, he said, "Don't think about a fight to the death. Besides, the fish might not die, but you have to think carefully about whether your parents can withstand the pressure of public opinion."

Mingdai's heart grew colder and colder.

Mo Tingchuan pushed Mingdai away and gently combed her disheveled hair, just like a gentle husband whose heart and eyes were only for his sick wife.

He seemed to feel sorry for her.

Under the covers, Mingdai's hand, which was still bleeding, was clenched into a fist.

She took repeated, forceful breaths, and only then was she forced to suppress the urge to kill Mo Tingchuan on the spot that surged in her throat.

She straightened her back, and Mo Tingchuan deliberately helped Mingdai lean back against the headboard, even thoughtfully placing a pillow behind her back.

"Slow down."

Mingdai took another deep breath, her stomach churning; she felt a physical aversion to this hypocritical man.

"How are you?"

He Xingqiong was confused about the situation.

The atmosphere was strange; she couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was a tense atmosphere, a kind of tension that seemed to be trying to cover up the truth.

"How was your day?" He Xingjian gently placed the flowers on the bedside table.

He originally wanted to say a few words to Mingdai up close, but Mo Tingchuan stood motionless by the bedside.

He Xingjian didn't want to say much about matters between husband and wife, so he carefully observed Mingdai's condition, which he would report to his third uncle later.

"Thank you for coming to see me, I'm much better now."

Mingdai felt incredibly grateful to He Xingjian, who had gone to great lengths to help her with the poisoning.

"What's wrong with it? You were just saying your hand hurts from getting an IV drip."

Mo Tingchuan naturally picked up the dripping IV needle that he had just tossed aside and stuck it into the medicine bottle cap on his head.

His movements were fluid and decisive. He turned to He Xingjian with a helpless expression.

"It was all a misunderstanding. I never expected it to escalate like this. I'm so sorry."

What?

He Xingqiong's eyes widened.

"Misunderstand?"

He Xingqiong could hardly believe it.

“Mingdai, you…”

"It was all a misunderstanding. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. From now on, we'll leave the decoction to Tingchuan. Mingdai's health isn't good, so she might make mistakes sometimes, but thankfully it was just a false alarm."

Mo Yumei stopped He Xingqiong in time. When her son suddenly hugged Mingdai, she had a premonition that he was going to use special methods. Sure enough, Mingdai became completely docile.

She had to quickly back down and let things settle; she couldn't let Mingdai cause any more trouble.

He Xingqiong was already angry that her words were interrupted, and when she heard Mo Yumei openly and blatantly implying that Mingdai had accidentally drunk the poisoned Chinese medicine, she was even more upset.

That damned old witch!

They roll up their sleeves and are ready to charge into battle.
