Qin Weiwei's dejected expression made Mingdai let go of her hand.
Why does she feel that Qin Weiwei is depressed?
Won't something bad happen if this continues?
Pregnant women with depression should receive timely treatment, right?
"Um, have you been out recently?"
Mingdai watched Qin Weiwei go to pour water, and then she said, "If you don't have any friends, are you home alone all the time?"
Qin Weiwei, with her back to Mingdai, nodded gently.
“I’m afraid of running into Mo Tingchuan. He’s been looking for me all along. For the sake of the child’s safety, I don’t dare to go out much.”
Mingdai felt that this was not a solution.
But she couldn't go to Mo Tingchuan to resolve this matter.
Qin Weiwei brought over a bowl of water.
She handed a cup to Mingdai, then sat down holding one in her own hand.
Mingdai's head started hurting again.
He habitually reached up and rubbed his temples.
Qin Weiwei asked thoughtfully, "You're not feeling well either?"
Mingdai placed the glass of water on the table in front of her.
"I probably haven't been taking my medication much lately; my body has always been like this."
She was no longer wary of Qin Weiwei.
Qin Weiwei lowered her eyes.
“Mo Tingchuan said before that you couldn’t have children, that your body couldn’t withstand the strain. Sometimes I thought you were being dramatic, and sometimes I thought you were being too delicate. But since I got pregnant, I’ve realized that there aren’t that many external factors that can affect a person’s health.”
Qin Weiwei gently swirled the water in the cup.
Have you thought about having children in the future?
Mingdai was caught off guard by the question.
How did we suddenly get to this topic?
Whether she wants to have a child or not is none of Qin Weiwei's business.
"Uh...you don't actually want me to raise your child, do you?"
Mingdai was helpless.
“I really can’t do this, and besides, I don’t think your child would want me to be their mother.”
"If you and Mo Tingchuan divorce, have you ever thought about remarrying?"
Qin Weiwei glanced sideways, smiling gently.
"I know there's no possibility between you and Mo Tingchuan anymore, but you'll definitely meet a better man in the future."
Mingdai couldn't help but think of He Yaonian.
She unconsciously picked up the glass of water, brought it to her lips, and took a sip.
"We'll see, who knows?"
Qin Weiwei watched as Ming Dai drank the water. She immediately looked away, her eyes red and her lips tightly pressed together.
Mingdai was lost in thought and didn't notice Qin Weiwei's unusual behavior.
She thought the water tasted a little sweet.
He also asked Qin Weiwei.
"What did they add to the water? Why does it taste so sweet?"
Qin Weiwei didn't look at Ming Dai.
"It's a little syrup. The doctor prescribed it when I was in the hospital. He said it's good for your health. I just added some for you. Doesn't it taste good?"
Mingdai raised her cup and stared curiously at the water inside.
It doesn't show any color; it's just like regular water—transparent and clear.
"It tastes pretty good, not too sweet, and has a pleasant aftertaste."
Thinking that Qin Weiwei meant well.
Mingdai took a few more sips.
Qin Weiwei silently curled her fingers.
Are you hungry?
Mingdai shook her head.
"I don't feel anything."
She finished the half glass of water and figured that Qin Weiwei probably just wanted to talk to someone.
She had been there for a while, but her headache was getting worse, and she felt she had to go to the hospital.
"I have to go."
Mingdai stood up.
I'm relieved to see you're alright.
She said, "I was thinking of chatting with you a little longer, but my head really hurts, and I'm afraid I won't be able to drive in a while."
Qin Weiwei's expression was particularly complicated, and she slowly stood up as well.
"Mingdai, I'm so sorry."
Mingdai chuckled, "Why bring this up? I'm just glad you're alright."
For a moment, Qin Weiwei looked like she was about to cry.
She grabbed Mingdai's hand.
"I can't help it, I really can't help it."
Mingdai felt dizzy and nauseous.
She tried to steady herself.
"What do you mean there's no way? What's wrong with you?"
Qin Weiwei knew that Mingdai was about to collapse, so she reached out to support Mingdai's body.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
Mingdai's consciousness disappeared very quickly, in just a few seconds.
Mingdai softly slumped down.
Qin Weiwei supported her with all her might, and the two of them fell back onto the sofa together.
Qin Weiwei remained seated.
She seemed unsure of what to do.
She stared blankly into the air for a long while before numbly looking at Mingdai, who was half-lying on the sofa beside her.
Mingdai turned her small face to the side, her hair covering her cheeks, her complexion was very pale and she looked very frail.
"Mingdai".
Qin Weiwei choked up, feeling helpless and guilty.
She hated that she had ultimately made this choice.
She wronged Mingdai.
She deserves to die.
I know you will hate me.
Qin Weiwei laughed through her tears, feeling self-loathing.
"It's okay, hate me all you want, I hate myself for it anyway."
Qin Weiwei reached out and gently tucked the strands of hair from Mingdai's cheek behind her ear.
After a while, she called Mo Tingchuan.
"Come here."
Mo Tingchuan arrived in less than ten minutes.
He strode into the house, but when he saw that Mingdai was unconscious, he was not as happy as he had imagined.
He was about to step forward and carry Mingdai away.
The sleeve was pulled.
Qin Weiwei was making a last-ditch effort.
"Mo Tingchuan, can you please let Mingdai go?"
Mo Tingchuan turned his head.
He gave a mocking snort.
"Did you let her go?"
Qin Weiwei felt as if she had been struck by lightning.
She actually cried.
