Chapter 228 That damned bastard

At the end of the month, Mingdai's parents returned from their trip.

Mingdai never told her parents about the divorce.

She went to the airport to pick him up.

Seeing her parents looking so happy and radiant, Mingdai knew they must have had a wonderful time.

Ming's mother hugged her daughter, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

"My daughter has lost weight. Has she been taking her medicine properly lately? Is she feeling unwell?"

Parents' hearts are always with their children.

Mingdai hugged her mother tightly, "No, everything is fine."

Mingdai hugged her father again.

"Dad, you look much younger."

"Hahaha……"

Ming's father laughed heartily with joy.

Finally, Ming's mother asked Mingdai, "Why didn't Tingchuan come?"

Ming's father said, "He called to check on me and your mother a couple of days ago. He said that the company has been very busy lately."

Mingdai was surprised; she didn't know that Mo Tingchuan had maintained contact with her parents after the divorce.

"He didn't say anything more, did he?"

Mingdai was a little worried.

However, judging from his parents' reactions, he knew that Mo Tingchuan wasn't making things up.

What else can I say?

Ming's mother didn't take it to heart.

She was somewhat disappointed that Mo Tingchuan didn't come.

But since Mo Tingchuan had called before, Ming's mother naturally assumed that the young couple were doing well.

After returning to the Ming family home, both Ming's father and mother were exhausted.

The two of them had to transfer flights to get back, so they had quite a long and tiring journey.

Traveling is physically demanding, but fortunately the couple is in good health and passionate about it, so they have gained a lot along the way.

After dinner, Mingdai didn't chat much with her parents and urged them to rest.

The next day, Ming's parents recovered, and Mo Tingchuan came to their door.

At this moment, Mingdai was sitting in the living room talking to her parents.

She didn't go to the company; she wanted to spend time with her parents.

Mo Tingchuan didn't greet her when he arrived.

Mo Tingchuan also did not expect that Mingdai would not go to the company.

The two looked at each other and were both stunned.

When Ming's parents saw Mo Tingchuan arrive, they were overjoyed and hurriedly got up to greet him.

Mo Tingchuan also realized that Mingdai hadn't told the truth yet.

Mo Tingchuan glanced awkwardly at Mingdai.

Mingdai frowned, letting her parents pull Mo Tingchuan to sit down.

Just then, her phone rang.

The caller was Mo Yumei.

Mingdai got up to answer the phone.

Mo Yumei asked bluntly, "I heard your parents are back?"

Mingdai: "Mm."

"Have you told them about your divorce from Tingchuan?"

"not yet."

"You'd better tell me as soon as possible, otherwise Tingchuan will keep thinking about coming to your house."

Mo Yumei was also exhausted. She knew that Mo Tingchuan couldn't let go of Mingdai, but there was no turning back.

Mo Yumei said, "If you really can't bring yourself to speak, then I'll go over and talk to your parents later."

"Need not."

Mingdai knew that Mo Yumei wouldn't say anything nice, and she didn't want to upset her parents.

"You should also tell Tingchuan that you are divorced and ask him not to come to your house anymore."

"knew."

After finishing the call, Mingdai noticed that Mo Tingchuan had somehow gotten close to her.

Mo Tingchuan held a cigarette in his hand, but didn't light it.

He approached a few steps closer after Mingdai finished her phone call.

"I'll tell my parents later."

This matter will have to be addressed sooner or later.

Mingdai thought about it and knew that if she dragged it out any longer, Mo Yumei would really come to her parents' door directly.

"OK."

Fortunately, her parents were in stable condition. Although Mingdai was still uneasy, she was no longer willing to hide it.

So she and Mo Tingchuan returned to the sofa.

The two sat down in silence.

Ming's parents were still chatting about the interesting things that happened during their trip.

Seeing that the two of them looked a little off, Ming's parents stopped talking.

Mingdai took a deep breath.

"Mom and Dad, Mo Tingchuan and I are divorced."

boom!

It was as if a thunderbolt had struck Ming's parents.

"What did you say?"

Ming's mother stared blankly at her daughter.

Mo Tingchuan took the initiative to assume responsibility.

"It's all my fault. I'm sorry to Mingdai. We've already gotten our divorce certificate and divided our assets."

The living room fell into dead silence.

Mingdai couldn't bear to see the shocked and pained expressions on her parents' faces, so she lowered her head.

"I have no feelings for him anymore, and the divorce is a decision we made after careful consideration."

When Mo Tingchuan heard the words "without any emotion," his heart felt as if it had been pierced by a sharp sword.

The intense pain made his face turn pale, and his hands were ice cold.

Mo Tingchuan sat stiffly, nodding mechanically and echoing the agreement.

"Yes, there's no going back for either of us."

Regret overwhelmed Mo Tingchuan, and he could not break free from it, nor was he able to.

Ming's father listened for a while before asking Mo Tingchuan.

"You're saying it's your fault?"

Ming's mother also came to her senses.

"What mistake did you make?"

What kind of mistake could cause a perfectly good couple to fall apart?

Under questioning from Ming's parents, Mo Tingchuan's already lowered head looked as if his neck might break at any moment.

He closed his eyes and said desperately, "I cheated on you."

Ming's father stood up instantly.

He rushed forward and grabbed Mo Tingchuan by the collar.

With a fierce and menacing expression, he demanded, "What did you say?"

Mo Tingchuan's lips trembled slightly, "Dad, I'm sorry."

"Bang!"

Ming's father punched Mo Tingchuan in the face, and Mo Tingchuan immediately collapsed onto the sofa.

Mingdai watched coldly from the sidelines.

Ming's mother was greatly alarmed.

"You beast!"

Enraged, Ming's father wanted to punch and kick Mo Tingchuan.
