He Yaonian did not speak.
Thinking of Mingdai's hesitation and helplessness regarding the divorce, I also know that it was because she was considering her parents' situation.
"Even if Mo Tingchuan was wrong, people's opinions are a fearsome thing. If they don't laugh at Mo Tingchuan for being a scoundrel, they will laugh at Mingdai's parents for having wasted three years of their efforts and even losing a good daughter."
He Xingjian knew without a doubt that no matter how this matter ended, Ming Dai's family would inevitably be the subject of all sorts of gossip and criticism.
So when He Xingjian saw Mo Yumei and her daughter follow He Yaoyuan into the house, she found it an eyesore.
His indifference was directly and tangibly conveyed to Mo Yumei and her daughter. Mo Yumei was able to remain somewhat calm, but Mo Qingying had a deep-seated inferiority complex towards the young masters and ladies of the He family. She felt uncomfortable as soon as she was given a cold look.
"Mom, did we do something to upset him?"
Mo Qingying tugged at Mo Yumei's sleeve in frustration.
Mo Yumei looked up and met He Xingjian's gaze for two seconds before giving in.
She was also puzzled. She hadn't provoked He Xingjian, so why was she looking at her like that?
After openly showing her disdain for the Mo family mother and daughter, He Xingjian finally went upstairs.
He Yaoyuan also sensed his nephew's disgust, and he comforted his wife and daughter, "Don't pay any attention to him."
Mo Yumei was unhappy; she hadn't had a single comfortable day since returning to the He family.
After much thought, it was all Mingdai's fault; it was Mingdai who made the situation so out of control.
Where is Mingdai?
With He Yaoyuan around, Mo Yumei spoke much more confidently to the servants.
The servants were paid by He Yaoyuan, so they naturally wouldn't pay much attention to the Mo family of three on a regular basis, but they still had to give He Yaoyuan some face.
The maid pointed to Mingdai, who was arranging flowers not far away, and said, "Miss Ming is over there."
Mo Yumei and Mo Qingying immediately set off with high spirits.
Take a look.
Goodness.
Mingdai was indeed present, but He Yaonian was also there to provide guidance.
Suddenly I was disturbed.
He Yaonian lazily raised his eyes.
"What's up?"
Its imposing presence is like that of a thousand troops.
Mingdai had studied flower arranging and had just finished arranging it when He Yaonian, who smelled faintly of alcohol, came over and started discussing it with her in a very professional manner.
She had no idea that he shared this hobby.
He Yaonian asked her to put a bottle in his vase, which was no trouble at all, so Mingdai readily agreed.
While inserting the needle, Mingdai also asked him for his opinion.
He Yaonian was in a good mood, pointing to the various flowers and offering his unique insights. The two of them worked together quite well.
Just when things were about to get better, Mo Yumei and her daughter arrived.
Mingdai knew that the two of them had a lot of opinions about her moving to the third floor.
Looking up, I saw that his face was indeed very unpleasant.
Perhaps because He Yaonian was there, they dared not vent their anger.
"N-nothing."
Mo Yumei never expected that He Yaonian, who was so busy with work, would have time to accompany Mingdai to tend to the flowers and plants here.
The thought that the two had slept together, and that He Yaonian had some unusual feelings for Ming Dai, was unbearable.
Mo Yumei was extremely flustered.
She needed to talk to He Yaoyuan, so she quickly pulled her daughter away.
Mingdai was unaware of the true meaning behind it and only thought that Mo Yumei was afraid of He Yaonian.
But He Yaonian narrowed his eyes meaningfully.
Mingdai noticed that He Yaonian's smile was inscrutable.
She couldn't help but ask curiously, "What are you laughing at?"
He Yaonian lowered his eyes, lazily picked up a delicate pink daffodil, and examined it in his hand.
"It's funny to laugh at them."
Mingdai: "..."
That's a really straightforward reason.
However, she also found it funny.
"Pfft!"
Mingdai couldn't help but stick a sturdy little blade of grass into the vase and burst out laughing as she looked at He Yaonian.
He Yaonian handed her the daffodils and laughed with her.
Mo Tingchuan, who had quietly come over, witnessed this scene and looked as if he had been drenched in a downpour from head to toe.
After Mingdai arranged the flowers in several vases and had the maid put them away, she took the vase that He Yaonian wanted and planned to go upstairs to find him.
He Yaonian originally wanted to finish it with her, but he received a phone call halfway through and left.
Mo Tingchuan blocked Mingdai at the stairwell.
When Mingdai saw him, she automatically took a few steps back until there was a safe distance between them.
Mo Tingchuan was provoked by Ming Dai's wary look.
He clenched his fists, staring at the fragrant and beautiful flower arrangement in Mingdai's arms.
"This belongs to Third Uncle?"
Mingdai didn't know when Mo Tingchuan returned, but from what he said, she knew that he must have seen her and her third uncle arranging flowers together.
"right."
Mingdai nodded.
She didn't do anything shameful. It was just a vase of flowers, and the raw materials were all from He Yaonian. Even her food, clothing, and daily necessities all came from He Yaonian.
Mo Tingchuan didn't want to believe that Mingdai would fall in love with someone else, but the scene he had just witnessed was too painful to bear.
He couldn't help but want to get closer to Mingdai.
Mingdai put on a stern face, "If you have something to say, say it here. I don't want to argue with you."
Mo Tingchuan's expression changed. "Have we reached the point where we have to argue even when we're just talking?"
"Isn't that so?"
Mingdai raised her chin, her posture arrogant and indifferent.
"It's pointless to drag this out, but you don't want a divorce."
Mo Tingchuan glared at Ming Dai with hatred.
"Why get a divorce? So you can go and bother Uncle San?"
Do you know what you're saying?
Mingdai stared at Mo Tingchuan in shock. Remembering that there were surveillance cameras here, she looked around in a panic before glaring at Mo Tingchuan.
"Don't assume everyone is as despicable and shameless as you!"
Mingdai hugged the vase tightly and went upstairs, keeping a distance from Mo Tingchuan.
