Mingdai called He Yaonian only after leaving the park.
"Third Uncle, I have to go now. Thank you very much for your hospitality today."
That secretary must be He Yaonian's capable assistant; he spent most of the afternoon hanging out with her. He Yaonian is really good to her.
"What's up?"
He Yaonian asked, "Where to?"
Mingdai didn't say anything, but made up an excuse.
"A friend's private matter."
He Yaonian did not ask any further questions.
Mingdai met the jewelry swindler at a teahouse in a small, hard-to-find alley, as arranged.
A charming and alluring woman with bright red lips, thick, wavy hair, a sexy outfit, and a spectacularly full bust.
The two looked at each other, and Mingdai greeted her politely.
The woman smiled and invited Mingdai to take a seat.
The teahouse had an elegant ambiance, with one or two customers, but their faces were obscured behind a partially sheer screen.
"How did you find out about me, ma'am?"
The woman was trying to elicit information.
A staff member dressed in a cheongsam brought over tea, which had a rich aroma.
The woman personally poured Mingdai a glass, saying, "Please."
Mingdai smiled.
“A friend of mine recently ordered jewelry from you. I’ve also been looking to buy some jewelry recently, but I haven’t found anything I like, so I thought I’d check out your selection first.”
The woman picked up her teacup and looked at Mingdai.
She raised her eyes slightly, "Which friend? Would you mind telling me the name?"
"A young lady from the Mo family."
The woman suddenly realized what was going on, took a sip of tea, and carefully examined Mingdai.
Are you very familiar with her?
"Cooked".
Mingdai asked with a smile, "May I take a look at the goods first?"
The woman stared at Mingdai for a moment before nodding with pleasure.
"Of course, no problem."
Soon, several sets of jewelry were placed in front of Mingdai.
The condition is so-so.
Mingdai glanced at it casually, slightly annoyed.
"Is this all the stuff you have here?"
The woman played with her long, flowing hair. "Which style would you prefer, ma'am?"
"Just the sets my friend owns."
"No, those are all rare items, only one of each kind."
"One?"
Mingdai asked curiously, "Aren't they all part of a complete set?"
"The raw materials are scarce, making it difficult to put together a complete set. It would require either a ring, a bracelet, or a necklace."
“Oh,” Mingdai replied knowingly.
She said, "I have money, go ahead and take it."
Mingdai is very arrogant.
With her pale white fingertips lightly touching the teacup, she said, "My friend can afford it, but I'll only buy more than her."
The woman is still beating around the bush.
"Madam, who in our line of work doesn't have a little bit of money?"
Her shrewd eyes probed Mingdai.
"There are many jewelry brands on the market. If a lady has money, she can buy it anywhere. I just run a small private business and don't have much stock on hand."
She added, "There are quite a few rare items at recent auctions. Ladies might as well try their luck; you might just find a treasure you're happy with."
Mingdai remained calm and composed.
Looking down at the clear tea liquor, I knew it was good tea.
She picked it up and took a sip; it was very palatable and had a sweet aftertaste.
“I have money, but the items at auctions all start at a small amount.”
Mingdai hinted to the woman, "I want some good quality goods that are great value for money."
It's obvious they want to get good quality goods for little money, hoping to snag a great deal.
She's practically offering herself up for slaughter; only the greedy and those who believe in easy money are easily manipulated and deceived.
The woman had been waiting for Mingdai to speak, and when Mingdai said that, a gleam of greed flashed in her eyes, like a fat sheep entering the pen.
He pretended to be hesitant for a moment before reluctantly nodding in agreement.
"Since you've come with such sincerity, I can't let you leave disappointed. However, your friend's selections are indeed not exactly the same, but I can try to source similar ones."
Mingdai was delighted. "Then you can arrange the goods, but I need to take a look at the items first."
The woman got up.
"The stock is incomplete; there's only one model available. I'll go get it first."
Mingdai said yes.
but……
"Should my friend's models be here?"
The woman shook her head. "There's only one model; the others are still on their way."
"Oh, then it won't be long." Mingdai observed the woman's expression.
The woman smiled without saying a word.
The woman brought out a necklace with vibrant pink diamonds.
A ring of sparkling diamonds encircled the area, with a pink teardrop-shaped diamond hanging below, its beauty effortless under natural light.
Mingdai touched it carefully.
Authentic product.
How much is this one?
Mingdai pondered that she couldn't achieve this without setting two small goals.
The woman's eyes lit up when she saw her, and she couldn't help but chuckle.
"You like it, right?"
Mingdai asked with a satisfied look, "How much?"
Two million.
Mingdai raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise, "This thing only costs two million?"
"Didn't you want more than your money's worth, ma'am?"
Isn't this entrapment?
For some reason, the woman showed her another bracelet that Mo Qingying had ordered.
Mingdai observed carefully.
Purple jadeite, flawless and translucent.
How much is this?
"One million two hundred thousand."
Mingdai sincerely praised, "It's really cheap."
She touched the bracelet again, "It's so beautiful."
The goods are genuine, but once the actual transaction takes place, they'll probably become fake.
"Madam, have you taken a fancy to this necklace? I also have a pearl ring here. It was used as collateral by a wealthy businessman. The pearl is delicate and flawless with a cool sheen. It would look beautiful on you."
The woman started selling.
"Really? Let's take a look together."
Mingdai looked at the ring again, then let the woman inquire about her for a while before leaving.
