Mo Tingchuan had always maintained the hypocritical persona of a good son-in-law in front of Ming's father, so his sanctimonious appearance today was seen by Ming's father as a sincere and innocent child.
Mingdai had no way to get rid of Mo Tingchuan in front of her father.
Mo Tingchuan, taking advantage of the situation, stayed for the entire morning.
He flattered Ming's father until he was beaming with joy. Ming Dai gritted her teeth several times, wanting to drive him away, but she failed each time.
Left with no other choice, Mingdai messaged Qin Weiwei, urging her to get the person away as soon as possible.
Since Qin Weiwei couldn't show up, Mo Yumei arrived in a flurry of activity.
She carried a fruit basket, just as hypocritical as her son, revealing no trace of her true feelings to Ming's father.
Mo Yumei's thinking was simple. She knew that Ming's father was in poor health, and if he suffered any shock at this critical juncture, he might even die.
Mo Yumei could not bear this responsibility, nor could she withstand Mingdai's anger.
After Ming's father finally got sleepy, ate something, and fell asleep, Mo Yumei immediately dragged Mo Tingchuan out the door.
She also invited Mingdai.
Mingdai tucked her sleeping father in and followed him out.
Mo Yumei berated her son in the corridor.
"Do you know what's going on? I know you're just putting on an act, but how can you stay here all morning? Don't you have a job? Don't you have to think about how to get your dad back to the He family as soon as possible? Don't you have to think about me and your sister?"
Mo Tingchuan didn't inform Mo Yumei in order to prevent her from doing the same thing.
How did you know Mingdai's father was hospitalized?
Mo Tingchuan looked displeased. "Who's being so nosy?"
"I said it."
Mingdai leaned against the wall, keeping an eye on the commotion in the ward while watching the mother and son's confrontation with amusement.
This scene was quite rare before.
In his memory, Mo Tingchuan was very filial to Mo Yumei and also doted on his younger sister, Mo Qingying.
Well, to put it simply, Mo Tingchuan was absolutely wonderful to the two most important women in his life.
Therefore, he would not usually talk back to Mo Yumei.
However, this situation has been occurring frequently recently.
Mingdai was very happy.
She looked at Mo Tingchuan defiantly, "If we can't get rid of you, then we'll have to have your mother come and pick you up."
“Listen to what she’s saying. She’s trying to kick you out. Why are you still staying here? Have you forgotten how you used to look down on this woman?”
Mo Yumei glared at Mingdai resentfully, then grabbed her son's wrist. "Let's go."
"Mom, you go first. I'll go straight to the company later."
Mo Tingchuan didn't want to leave; he had a premonition that he and Mingdai would have fewer and fewer opportunities to be alone together.
"Let's go now."
Mo Yumei had no desire for Mo Tingchuan to be alone with Mingdai again.
Who knows what kind of sweet talk this woman will give her son?
When He Yaonian strode over carrying lunch, he saw Mo Yumei desperately pulling Mo Tingchuan, while Mo Tingchuan stood motionless like a dead pig.
Mingdai was the first to discover He Yaonian.
Suddenly, she remembered that she had promised He Yaonian last night that she would not see Mo Tingchuan again.
My heart pounded rapidly, and I was so nervous that I didn't even dare to lean against the wall. I straightened up immediately, feeling incredibly tense.
Mingdai secretly pondered how to explain.
Mo Yumei and Mo Tingchuan also spotted He Yaonian at this time.
Mo Yumei was somewhat surprised, but quickly came to her senses.
She felt a chill run down her spine. He Yaonian cared about Mingdai to the point that he came to the hospital alone to visit Mingdai's father.
But Mo Yumei didn't want He Yaonian to care about Mingdai.
Mingdai should have divorced her son and then completely disappeared from her life.
"Third Uncle."
Mo Tingchuan broke free from Mo Yumei's hand and, suppressing his anger, greeted He Yaonian.
He Yaonian's emotions were unclear, and his gaze was indifferent.
"They're all here."
Hearing this, Mingdai's heart jumped into her throat again.
She quickly gave Mo Yumei a look.
"Didn't you say you had to leave with Mo Tingchuan?"
Mo Yumei, however, was unwilling to leave.
He Yaonian disappeared the day before yesterday, which led to her being kicked out of the He family by the younger generation.
She had been wanting to find an opportunity to meet He Yaonian.
“In the year of Yao, I have something I would like to discuss with you.”
Mo Yumei thought that He Yaoyuan had something on He Yaonian, so He Yaonian should give her some face.
He Yaonian was indeed quite adept at navigating interpersonal relationships.
He smiled faintly.
"I'm here to visit Mingdai's father. I have a meeting at the company later, so I'll be quite busy this afternoon. If you need anything, you can ask my older brother to come find me."
While she was giving him face, Mo Yumei was not yet in a position to talk to him.
Mo Yumei understood He Yaonian's implied meaning and felt extremely humiliated.
But she still had to force a smile and greet people with a cheerful demeanor.
"Okay, then I'll have your older brother talk to you about it."
"Um."
At this point, those who know what's good for them should leave.
Mo Tingchuan seemed to have suddenly lost his mind.
He stared directly at He Yaonian.
"Isn't Third Uncle supposed to be incredibly busy, with meetings and nonstop activity all afternoon? How does he have time to come here?"
What are they trying to do?
Mo Yumei was terrified.
She quickly gave her son a meaningful look. Had he gone mad? Even if he knew that He Yaonian and Ming Dai were having an affair, he couldn't be so blatantly provoking them.
Mo Tingchuan ignored Mo Yumei's warning.
He turned his head and glanced at Mingdai, whose brows were slightly furrowed.
"I never would have guessed that you and your third uncle had such a good relationship."
Mo Tingchuan has said this more than once.
