"Why hasn't he come out yet? I hope my son is okay?" Mother Fu twisted her hands together tightly, her knuckles turning white.
Secretary Chen stood aside, head down, not daring to speak.
"It's all that bitch Ning Nanxue's fault! If it weren't for her, how could Ah Chen have gotten into trouble?" Mother Fu suddenly stopped and pointed at Secretary Chen, shouting, "Haven't you been following Ah Chen the whole time? Why didn't you protect him?"
Secretary Chen lowered his head even more, "Mrs. Fu, this happened suddenly..."
"I don't want to hear any explanations!" Fu's mother screamed, "I'm going to settle the score with Ning Nanxue! I want her to pay with her life!"
She turned around and was about to rush out, but was stopped by Secretary Chen.
"Mrs. Fu, please calm down! The most important thing now is Mr. Fu's safety!" Secretary Chen advised.
"Calm down? My son is lying in there, his life or death uncertain. How can I calm down?" Mother Fu struggled, trying to break free from Secretary Chen's obstruction. "Let me go! I'm going to tear that bitch apart!"
This was what Xu Zhiru saw when she rushed to the hospital.
Her face was pale, her lips were trembling, and she was almost unable to stand as she looked at the closed door of the emergency room.
"Achen...how's Achen?" Xu Zhiru's voice was filled with tears. She rushed to Fu's mother and grabbed her arm. "Achen will be fine, right?"
When Mrs. Fu saw Xu Zhiru, the anger in her eyes grew even stronger.
"How dare you come here? If you weren't such a troublemaker and didn't take care of Ah Chen, how could Ah Chen be obsessed with Ning Nanxue and get into trouble?" Mother Fu shook off Xu Zhiru's hand, pointed at her nose and cursed, "You jinx! Stay away from Ah Chen!"
Xu Zhiru was pushed by Fu's mother and staggered and almost fell.
She ignored the pain and just kept crying, not knowing who she felt guilty towards: "Auntie, I didn't mean to do that, I really didn't mean to do that..."
"You didn't mean to? If you didn't mean to, Ah Chen would lie in there?" Fu's mother roared, "Get out of here! I don't want to see you!"
Xu Zhiru cried even harder, "Auntie, I beg you, let me see Ah Chen, I beg you..."
"Get out!" Fu's mother roared.
Xu Zhiru didn't dare to say anything. She covered her face, squatted in the corner, and cried silently.
She knew she had gotten into big trouble.
If something really happened to Fu Chen, she would never be able to forgive herself in her life.
Huayun Group's project was forced to be interrupted due to this sudden car accident.
Ning Nanxue didn't go to the hospital, she went straight back to the company.
The assistant told her the news that Fu was seriously injured, but she did not react at all.

The lights in the emergency room finally went out.
The doctor came out, took off his mask, and looked tired.
