"Nanxue," Jiang Tingchen said softly but firmly, "If I don't even have the courage to protect the one I love, how can I even talk about business competition?"
Louis put down the phone and looked out the window at the charming city scenery. After receiving the news of the Fu Group's difficulties, he immediately adjusted his schedule.
"Please contact Ms. Ning Nanxue for me." Louis said to his assistant, "Also, book a flight back to Asia for the day after tomorrow."
The assistant nodded slightly and quickly left the room to carry out the task.
Two days later, in a private room of a high-end restaurant in Shanghai.
Not long after Ning Nanxue and Jiang Tingchen sat down, Louis pushed the door open and walked in.
He was dressed in a well-tailored dark blue suit and carried himself with elegance and composure.
"Ms. Ning, Mr. Jiang, nice to meet you." Louis greeted in fluent Chinese, "I'm sorry I'm late, my flight was delayed."
"We are extremely grateful that Mr. Lewis came here in person." Ning Nanxue nodded slightly, "I didn't expect you to contact us on your own initiative."
Lewis sat down opposite them and waved his hand gently: “After all, we have a deep cooperation. Now that the Fu family is facing challenges, I should do my part.”
"Do you understand our situation?" Jiang Tingchen asked.
"I've heard that the business world is changing rapidly." Louis took a sip of his wine. "Qingyun Technology's methods are quite radical, and Huayun Group's withdrawal of investment has made matters worse."
Jiang Tingchen's expression changed slightly: "News spreads so fast."
"In today's globalized world, there are no real secrets." Louis put down his glass. "I'd like to propose a three-party meeting and invite Qingyun Technology to discuss solutions to market competition."
Ning Nanxue frowned: "Will Qingyun be willing to participate? They are now aggressive and have a sure win."
"They will come." Louis smiled confidently, "I have some connections with several investors behind Qingyun. They won't refuse my invitation."
"Even if they come, what can they achieve?" Jiang Tingchen said doubtfully. "The business world is like a battlefield. They clearly want to put the Fu family to death."
Louis looked at Jiang Tingchen: "The most terrifying thing on the battlefield is not a strong enemy, but a wrong judgment. Qingyun wants to maximize benefits, not a tug-of-war that will hurt both sides."
"Do you have any suggestions?" Ning Nanxue asked.
"Bring your market analysis and cooperation proposal, but don't get your hopes up too high, and don't compromise easily," Louis said calmly. "Remember, behind every smile at the negotiating table may be a trap."
Ning Nanxue and Jiang Tingchen exchanged glances: "We understand."
Three days later, in a conference room on the top floor of a luxurious office building.
Louis sat in the middle of the long table, with Ning Nanxue and Jiang Tingchen on his left, and the CEO of Qingyun Technology and his team on his right.
Sitting next to him were the company's legal director and marketing director. The three of them had stern expressions and a gleam of determination in their eyes.
"Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come here," Louis said, breaking the silence. "Our goal today is simple. We hope that our two companies can reach a consensus and avoid unnecessary market friction."
The Qingyun representative chuckled. "Consensus? I'm afraid the Fu Group no longer has any bargaining chips." He pushed out the thick document. "If you want us to stop suppressing the Fu Group, our conditions are clear: Fu Group transfers its core technology patents, and we promise to retain some employee positions. This is already the maximum concession."
Ning Nanxue took the document, opened the first page, and then closed it. "Mr. Qingyun Representative, with all due respect, this is not a negotiation, but a letter of intent to acquire."
"Market competition is all about survival of the fittest," the marketing director next to Representative Qingyun interrupted coldly. "Fu's credit rating has been downgraded two notches. I'm afraid they won't survive this winter."
"Then why is your company so eager to acquire our patented technology?" Ning Nanxue asked, her voice calm but sharp. "If the Fu Group is truly worthless as you claim, then this negotiation today is completely unnecessary."
The Qingyun representative's expression changed slightly: "Business mergers and acquisitions are the norm. We are willing to take over Fu's for the sake of industry stability."
"Is it for industry stability, or to monopolize the market?" Jiang Tingchen suddenly spoke up. "According to our investigation, Qingyun Technology recently borrowed a whopping 800 million yuan, all of which was invested in a price war. This isn't healthy business expansion."
The Qingyun representative looked at Jiang Tingchen in surprise: "Who are you? What gives you the right to interfere in the decision-making of the Fu Group?"
"Jiang Tingchen, Fu Group's strategic advisor." Jiang Tingchen took out a stack of documents from his briefcase and placed them on the table.
"This is Qingyun Technology's market strategy analysis for the past six months, including all of your low-price quotations targeting Fu's customers. Selling at a loss on this scale, aren't you planning to monopolize the market and directly make Fu's Group and Green Light Technology your victims?!"
The Legal Director took the information, glanced through it quickly, and his expression became serious. He whispered a few words in the ear of the Qingyun representative.
Ning Nanxue slowly stood up and took out a report from her folder. "You may not know this, but Fu's new energy conversion technology has broken through the bottleneck, and its efficiency is 37% higher than the industry average. This is a certification report from a third-party testing agency."
Louis took the report and read it carefully: "This data is quite shocking."
"Qingyun Technology claims to be releasing a new generation of energy conversion technology, but as far as I know, your technical team is still stuck in the algorithm optimization stage." Ning Nanxue's tone was calm, but every word was sharp. "So, Mr. Qingyun representative, it is you who need our technology, not the other way around."
The Qingyun representative's face was gloomy. "That's quite ambitious, President Ning. But the market won't lie. Fu's stock price speaks for itself."
"The stock price will rebound, but the patented technology is priceless." Jiang Tingchen countered, "What's more, I have already contacted several international investors, and they are very interested in Fu's technology."
"No evidence whatsoever." Representative Qingyun sneered.
Lewis coughed lightly: "I can testify to this. The investment group I represent is indeed positive about Fu's technology, on the condition that Fu maintains independent operation."
The smile on Qingyun's representative's face froze.
"Business is about choosing the most valuable partners." Louis smiled slightly, "I think Fu's potential is underestimated."
Representative Qingyun was silent for a moment, a sinister look flashing in his eyes: "If the Fu family refuses the acquisition, the competition in the market will only become more brutal."
"Threats are meaningless." Ning Nanxue said in a cold voice, "The Fu family is already prepared for a long-term war."
Jiang Tingchen added: "Furthermore, we are ready to report Qingyun's unfair competition practices to the regulatory authorities."
The Qingyun representative stood up suddenly: "This is a declaration of war!"
"No, this is just to defend legitimate rights and interests." Ning Nanxue remained motionless. "Mr. Qingyun, in the business world, success or failure depends on following the rules."
Lewis tapped the table lightly: “Since the positions of both parties are clear, I suggest that today’s talks end here.”
The Qingyun representative put away the documents and glanced coldly at Ning Nanxue and Jiang Tingchen: "The situation will be very different in two weeks." After that, he led the team out of the meeting room.
