Fu Chen tapped his fingers lightly on the table, pondered for a moment, and finally nodded slowly: "What you said makes sense. Those old employees of Ning Group are indeed a bit conservative and difficult to discipline."
He looked at Secretary Chen and said with a hint of determination, "Then let's start with them. Draw up a layoff list, giving priority to those with long service, low positions, and those who are not very obedient to management."

Rumors of layoffs quickly spread within the Ning Group, sending panic through the ranks. This was especially true for veteran employees who had spent years at the company. They had dedicated their youth to the company, only to realize they would ultimately be laid off.
This feeling of unease and dissatisfaction, like a plague, quickly grew within the Ning Group, making the already turbulent situation even more chaotic.
"Why are we, the old employees, being laid off? We have contributed so much to the company!"
"That's right, those people from the Fu Group don't know anything, they just give orders blindly, and now they want to use us as a scapegoat!"
"I heard another group of people are leaving the technical department. The morale is really low and the company is doomed!"
The employees were talking about it privately and complaining.
At noon, Xu Zhiru carefully prepared lunch and sent it to Fu Chen's office. All the way, she was imagining what kind of touching expression Fu Chen would show when he saw the lunch she brought him.
However, when she walked to the office door, she heard the voices of Fu Chen and Secretary Chen talking inside.
"Do you have any suggestions on selling assets?" Fu Chen's voice was a little tired.

"Achen, I brought you lunch." Xu Zhiru's face was full of smiles and her tone was gentle.
Fu Chen frowned, his thoughts interrupted, and looked at Xu Zhiru with some displeasure.
Secretary Chen was also a little surprised. He looked at Xu Zhiru who suddenly broke in, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his eyes.
Xu Zhiru seemed not to notice the expressions of the two people. She walked straight to Fu Chen, put the lunch box in her hand on the table, and said coquettishly: "A Chen, you work so hard, you must eat well."
Fu Chen ignored Xu Zhiru's courtesy, his eyes still on Secretary Chen, motioning him to continue.
