Chapter 19 (Overhauled)
"You need me, Master."
Qin Yi's tone was firm.
Only a breath's distance away, Lian Yu could clearly feel Qin Yi's cool spiritual energy.
It seemed like the aroma of food aroused Lian Yu's desire, making him salivate like a wild beast.
He could hardly bear it any longer.
The young man placed his broad palm on Lian Yu's chest, like a piece of warm and cool jade, and was about to follow the trail to unbutton his clothes.
Lian Yu pushed the hand away violently.
With a push that almost exhausted all his strength, Lian Yu was thrown heavily against the stone wall by inertia.
He saw the momentary panic in Qin Yi's expression.
But Lian Yu just gritted his teeth and uttered a cold word to Qin Yi:
"roll."
The air suddenly cooled.
Lian Yu struggled to sit up, but was pinned against the stone wall.
He let out a heavy gasp of pain.
The hand on his shoulder hesitated for a moment, then quickly regained its strength.
"Master."
Qin Yi frowned, his eyes almost crazy.
His palm roamed around Lian Yu's waist, and his fingertips always rubbed it intentionally or unintentionally.
"You've lost weight."
Why?
Why did you come to me? And why are you looking at me like that?
Lian Yu didn't understand, and couldn't ask anymore.
——
Lian Yu woke up to the chirping of birds.
The sparse sunlight fell on the center of his eyebrows and the bridge of his nose, and small spots of light flickered.
On the table, there is a bunch of gardenias. The buds have not yet bloomed, but the fragrance is so rich that it fills the entire room.
My body feels lighter than it has been in a long time.
After a long moment of stunned silence, Lian Yu suddenly came to his senses.
"Qin Yi!"
He struggled to sit up.
There was a sudden jingle.
Lian Yu froze.
He stared at the thin white silver chain on his ankle, wrapped around it was a cold spiritual energy.
What is...going on?
"Master."
A soft call made Lian Yu notice the person in the corner.
Qin Yi sat on a wooden chair in the corner, still wearing the same white shorts as the sun and moon, but the moon white color was stained with mottled dust, giving off some ambiguous signals.
Seeing Qin Yi's face turn dark, Lian Yu opened his mouth.
There were mixed feelings in my chest, and my mind was in a state of confusion, but when I opened my mouth, it turned into a question:
"How do you know?"
"Master, are you referring to the poison?"
Seeing that Lian Yu didn't answer, Qin Yi chuckled.
"If I don't ask, how long will Master keep this secret from me?"
"What are you talking about vital energy and replenishing energy? It's because—"
Qin Yi twitched the corner of his lips:
"Master simply cannot leave me."
"you!"
Lian Yu stared, then suddenly turned his head away.
"Stop changing the subject. How did you know that?"
"Master, if I don't tell you, can't I find someone else to ask?"
"Who are you asking?"
Qin Yi didn't answer.
For a moment, many names flashed through Lian Yu's mind.
"Mingzhu...is it Senior Sister Mingzhu?"
Qin Yi remained silent.
Lian Yu was anxious: "Speak up, Qin Yi!"
The chains on his feet clanked.
Qin Yi's expression changed and he rushed forward quickly.
"You'll get hurt, Master—"
"What's the price?" Lian Yu grabbed Qin Yi's shoulders fiercely, his chest heaving violently. "Mingzhu would never tell you this for nothing. What did she ask you for?"
There is no such thing as free news in the world.
Everyone in the sect is a smart person, Mingzhu would never tell Qin Yi the news for no reason.
Qin Yi must have promised Mingzhu something.
Qin looked at him for a moment, then slowly covered Lian Yu's hand with his palm.
Lian Yu questioned with his eyes.
Qin Yi just pushed his hand away.
Qin Yi stuffed Lian Yu's hand back under the quilt and avoided his sight: "Master, have a good rest. I'm leaving first."
"Don't promise her!"
The volume was out of control, but there was no way to stop Qin Yi's determination to leave.
Anxiously, Lian Yu shouted:
"You can't save me!"
Qin Yi stopped suddenly.
"It is God's will that I die. This is my end."
Lian Yu looked at Qin Yi. He didn't know if his words sounded like the ravings of a madman to Qin Yi, but he didn't want Qin Yi to be used by someone with ulterior motives for him.
"You can't save me."
"I want to save you!"
Qin Yi's eyes were red with tears, and he shouted with almost all his strength.
"Why should Heaven's way be what it is? What He says must be what it is? Why? He wants you to die, but I want you to live!"
After saying that, Qin Yi slammed the door and walked out.
In the empty room, the only sound was Lian Yu's heavy breathing.
Even Tutu, the system, sensed the awkwardness of the atmosphere. After hesitating for a moment, it timidly spoke:
[Xiaoyu, do you want to open the time tunnel?]
Tutu's body rose and fell, anxiously waiting for Lian Yu's answer.
"I'm not leaving."
The silence was broken. Lian Yu stared at the direction Qin Yi left and said firmly:
"I can't watch him continue to make mistakes."
The mechanical lips moved, and after a while, it asked:
[Why? ]
The continuous rain lifted the corner of the quilt.
His gaze returned to the chain around his ankle.
Why?
Lian Yu couldn't help but ask himself, why?
Was he infected by the atmosphere of Qin Yi's determination to fight against the way of heaven?
Or because, before this, no one had ever been so eager to keep him.
“Master!”
A shout came from outside the door.
Lian Yu hurriedly smoothed out the quilt: "Wait a minute——"
Before he could finish his words, the wooden door was pushed open.
Gu Yuan came in carrying a vermilion lacquered food box.
"Master said he was going on a journey, but Senior Brother Qin brought him back like that. I was really scared at the time. Fortunately, nothing happened."
He laid out the plates one by one.
"Although Master said eating is not necessary, eating a little will definitely help with recovery."
Lian Yu smiled and took the chopsticks from Gu Yuan.
In just one month, Lian Yu lost a lot of weight.
The robe slid down slightly, revealing a bony and pale wrist bone.
Gu Yuan frowned in pain.
"Once Senior Brother Qin finds the medicine, Master will be able to get better."
"medicine?"
Lian Yu stopped adding more dishes.
"What medicine is Qin Yi looking for?"
"Master...don't know?"
After realizing something, Gu Yuan carefully considered his words.
"He didn't tell me the details, I just vaguely heard it was something like... a magical medicine?"
Magic medicine?
Lian Yu suddenly realized something and raised his head:
"He wants to—"
Lian Yu suddenly stopped talking.
Gu Yuan looked at him curiously.
"No," Lian Yu clenched her hands under the quilt and shook her head, "Nothing."
I saw Qin Yi again a few days later.
Early in the morning, Qin Yi pushed the door open and walked in.
Lian Yu didn't turn his head, just looked out the window. A gray hare hopped through the grass.
It was clearly mocking Lian Yu's lack of freedom.
Qin Yi lifted his robe and sat down beside the couch.
There was no longer the restraint and caution of his youth in his movements, as if he was swearing his sovereignty over this place.
The same is true for people.
Qin Yi reached out his hand and touched Lian Yu's waist:
"Finally I've gained some weight."
Lian Yu pushed away the boy's rebellious hand.
Since his feet were locked, Qin Yi sealed his spiritual power, so this was the maximum resistance Lian Yu could make.
"You've overstepped your bounds."
"Overstepping the bounds?"
Qin Yi leaned forward with a sly smile in his eyes.
"Hasn't your disciple overstepped the bounds enough?"
Lian Yu didn't say anything.
The distance between the two was very close, and Qin Yi's gaze gradually moved down and fell on Lian Yu's lips.
The breath so close to her brushed Lian Yu's lips delicately, teasingly.
Lian Yu suddenly raised his hand and pressed Qin Yi's neck.
Lips and teeth clash.
Qin Yi's eyes suddenly widened.
"Qin Yi."
Lian Yu moved the two of them some distance apart, his palm still lingering on the back of Qin Yi's neck, rubbing it gently with his fingertips.
"Give up on me."
Suddenly a loud sob filled the air.
All disguises faded away, and the real Qin Yi appeared in front of Lian Yu.
He was just an eighteen-year-old boy.
He was frightened and uneasy, searching desperately, just wanting to keep Lian Yu.
Qin Yi's eyes were wet, like an abandoned puppy:
"I don't want you to die."
Lian Yu's eyelashes trembled.
How could he bear to see Qin Yi's tears, but he still hardened his heart.
"But this is my fate."
Playing the role of a scumbag, passing through every small world, disappointing everyone's sincerity, and being hated by everyone.
Then I was alone.
Qin Yi raised his head suddenly.
"Why?"
The young man questioned his fate in a harsh voice, almost sorrowfully:
"There are so many people in the world who deserve to die, why you?!"
The emotions became more and more turbulent, like a bag filled with air, bursting out at a certain moment.
Qin Yi pinched Lian Yu's shoulders:
"Why should I lose you? Why? You say it's fate, but I don't believe it! I don't believe it!"
Lian Yu was silent.
He didn't know how to answer Qin Yi.
So he lowered his eyes and remained silent, and beneath the silence was a wound that continued to ferment.
Qin Yi didn't seem to expect Lian Yu's answer.
He clenched his teeth and waited for the rise and fall of his chest to gradually calm down:
"I won't let you die."
The final oath is a declaration of war against fate.
Lian Yu slowly raised her head, and in her eyes there was only Qin Yi's reflection, which was deeply reflected.
The boy's originally determined gaze gradually revealed a flaw.
He placed his palm on Qin Yi's cheek.
The soft touch remains the same as before.
Qin Yi's eyes, eyelashes, and breath all began to shake at the same time.
The young man reached out and held Lian Yu's hand, blurting out almost emotionally:
“Master…”
"For me, it's not worth it."
Lian Yu restrained his expression, and the soft sunlight fell on his face, like a flawless mask.
Qin froze in place for a moment as if struck by lightning.
"You bastard!"
Qin Yi pounced on Lian Yu suddenly.
Boom boom boom!
There was a sudden knock on the wooden door.
"Master, the meal is here." Gu Yuan's voice came from outside the door.
Not hearing the answer from the person in the room, Gu Yuan pushed the door open and uttered a questioning nasal sound:
"The door is locked?"
"Qin Yi!"
Lian Yu panicked and called out in a whisper:
"Let me go!"
The strength in his body did not diminish.
Qin Yi stretched out his hand directly towards Lian Yu and pulled it to both sides.
The skin was suddenly exposed to the air, causing goose bumps.
Outside the door, Gu Yuan's voice gradually became higher:
"Master, can you hear me? What happened? I'm coming in?"
Lian Yu's scalp felt numb.
The person on him was like a puppy, with his furry head rubbing into the crook of his neck.
Lian Yu heard the door hinge creak.
"Don't make me hate you!"
After all the rain, the jar is broken.
Qin Yi's movements stopped immediately.
The person on my body was breathing rapidly, as if he was enduring something very difficult.
There was a sudden pain in my collarbone.
Lian Yu frowned suddenly, veins bulging on his forehead.
The sharp teeth left a vicious, bloody tooth mark on Lian Yu's collarbone.
It's like a mark was put on it.
Qin Yi helped to close his collar, but his black eyes never left Lian Yu's.
"Master?"
Gu Yuan poked his head out from behind the door and quickly noticed Qin Yi:
"you……"
"nothing."
Qin Yi glanced at the food box in his hand, then quickly looked away and tightened his cuffs which had become loose during the movement.
"Is it raining outside?"
"without."
Qin nodded and turned to walk out the door.
Gu Yuan put the lunch box on the table.
Although he wanted to say something, Gu Yuan suddenly looked stunned.
Lian Yu's heart skipped a beat and he instinctively reached to straighten his collar.
But Gu Yuan was one step ahead of him and tore off the self-deceiving cover.
The fresh bite marks were clearly exposed.
"What's this?"
Gu Yuan's tone suddenly turned cold.
"Qin Yi bullied you, didn't he?"
