Tan Yuze's smile froze instantly when he looked at his mock exam results. He picked up Xu Li next to him and said dejectedly, "Xiao Li, look at my grades. I still need you to teach me, otherwise I'll fail again this semester!"
Xu Li helplessly turned over, looking at his brother who exuded dejection. Tan Yuze's eyes were full of helplessness, and his lips were slightly parted.
She seemed to still be thinking about the scene when the results were announced, looking even more disheveled than a drowned rat in the rain. "Look at you, your math score is almost a fraction of mine."
Xu Li teased, but her eyes were full of doting affection. Tan Yuze looked at Xu Li with an innocent expression, as if to say, "This is not my fault."
Leng Yuxuan scratched his head and took the opportunity to tentatively ask, "Li Zi, stop fooling around. I really need your help. Please teach me!"
"Damn it, you..." Tan Yuze was practically cursing Leng Yuxuan to death behind his back.
Xu Li smiled slightly, then sighed helplessly, "Alright, alright, I'll help you this time for the sake of our brotherhood. But don't blame me for being soft-hearted."
"Thanks, Brother Li, you are my hero!" Leng Yuxuan patted Xu Li's shoulder, his face instantly regaining its vitality and gratitude.
"Alright, stop flattering me. Quickly bring the book, let's begin." Xu Li shook his head helplessly, picked up the draft paper and pen, and prepared to teach Leng Yuxuan seriously.
Leng Yuxuan took out a heavy math textbook from her schoolbag and carefully placed it on the table, her eyes filled with a thirst for knowledge.
As he flipped through the book, he said, "Li Zi, I will definitely study hard this time and won't be like before, working hard only for three days and then slacking off for two."
"You'd better keep your word, or I'll have to 'punish' you," Xu Li said half-jokingly, but her eyes held a hint of seriousness.
"Don't worry, I'm absolutely serious this time." Leng Yuxuan nodded heavily, her eyes resolute. Xu Li felt a warm current welling up in her heart as she looked at Tan Yuze's appearance.
She smiled slightly and began to explain the mathematical concepts earnestly. Leng Yuxuan listened attentively, afraid of missing a single key point.
He took notes while asking Xu Li questions from time to time. Although he was still a little confused about some parts, he was obviously much more serious than before.
With Xu Li's patient explanations, Leng Yuxuan's mathematical knowledge gradually improved. He began to understand complex formulas and theorems, and was even able to solve some simple mathematical problems independently, which made Xu Li very gratified.
"Li Zi, I think I understand now!" Leng Yuxuan shouted excitedly, her eyes sparkling with the joy of success. "Hmm, it seems my efforts haven't been in vain." Xu Li nodded with a smile, feeling very happy as well.
Leng Yuxuan continued to study diligently, while Xu Li patiently guided him from the side. They spent many days and nights together, facing the challenges of learning together.
As time went on, Leng Yuxuan's math scores improved significantly. His efforts paid off, and he ultimately achieved excellent results in the final exam. Seeing Leng Yuxuan's report card, Xu Li smiled with satisfaction.
She knew that Leng Yuxuan's hard work and perseverance had finally paid off. "Brother Li, I owe you so much this time, otherwise I would definitely have failed the course again." Leng Yuxuan looked at Xu Li gratefully.
"No need to thank me, your own efforts are the most important," Xu Li said softly, her eyes filled with recognition for Leng Yuxuan.
Leng Yuxuan nodded, her eyes revealing determination and gratitude: "Li Zi, I will definitely study harder in the future and live up to your expectations." "I believe you."
Xu Li smiled slightly, her eyes sparkling with expectation and trust for Leng Yuxuan. In this learning process, full of challenges and opportunities, Leng Yuxuan not only improved her math skills but also gained a deep friendship with Xu Li.
Xu Li's selfless help and patient guidance have become an indispensable part of Leng Yuxuan's growth.
"Hey, you promised to teach me last time, but you didn't. You have to teach me this time." Tan Yuze crossed his arms.
"You're so good at it, you don't need me to teach you." Xu Li rolled her eyes at him. Xu Li felt that Tan Yuze could clearly learn on his own, so why did he insist on being taught?
Despite Tan Yuze's pleas, Xu Li still refused to teach him.
Sunlight streamed through the sycamore leaves outside the window, casting dappled shadows on Tan Yuze's desk.
He opened a new math book, his brow furrowing slightly as he looked at the dense formulas and theorems. Xu Li sat diagonally opposite him, intently writing something.
The reason why Xu Li wanted to teach Tan Yuze math was the afternoon before. Tan Yuze had been hovering around Xu Li all day, saying, "Little Li, teach me! Little Li, teach me!"
Yes, that's how we got entangled for the whole afternoon.
Tan Yuze put down his pen and looked at Xu Li with a slightly puzzled expression. "Little Li, this new chapter seems even more difficult than the previous ones."
Tan Yuze scratched his head, his face full of confusion. Xu Li looked up and smiled slightly: "Tan Yuze, don't worry, this is natural. Mathematics is like that, it gets more and more challenging as you go on. But you've already made a lot of progress, so this will definitely be no problem for you."
Tan Yuze bit his lip, a hint of unease in his eyes: "But I didn't come into contact with these knowledge points at all during my last mock exam. Now that I suddenly have to learn them, I feel a bit overwhelmed."
Xu Li gently patted Tan Yuze's shoulder, her eyes firm: "Don't be afraid of difficulties, I'm here for you. Let's overcome these challenges together, okay?"
Tan Yuze nodded, his eyes gradually hardening: "Yes, Xiao Lizi, I believe in you, and I believe in myself."
Over the next few days, Tan Yuze and Xu Li immersed themselves in their new math studies. Whenever they encountered a difficult problem, Tan Yuze would always ask Xu Li for help immediately.
Xu Li always explained patiently, and sometimes she would use vivid examples to help Tan Yuze understand.
Tan Yuze gradually discovered that those formulas and theorems that originally seemed complicated actually had reasonable logic and beautiful patterns behind them.
Once, Tan Yuze encountered difficulties while solving a problem about the monotonicity of functions. He tried several methods, but none of them worked.
So he asked Xu Li for help: "Xiao Li, I can't solve this problem no matter what I do, please help me."
Xu Li took the question, looked at it carefully, and then smiled at Tan Yuze and said, "This question actually tests the application of derivatives. You can determine the monotonicity of the function by first finding the derivative and then analyzing the sign of the derivative."
Tan Yuze suddenly realized: "Oh, so that's how it is! I hadn't thought about the derivative before, no wonder I couldn't solve it."
With Xu Li's guidance, Tan Yuze successfully solved the problem. He jumped up happily and shouted excitedly, "Little Li, I solved it!"
Xu Li smiled happily: "I knew you could do it, keep it up!" As time went on, Tan Yuze's math scores continued to improve with Xu Li's help.
He began to overcome his fear of difficult problems and instead developed a strong interest in mathematics. Each time he solved a difficult problem, he felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
Finally, the day of the final exams arrived. Tan Yuze sat in the exam room, facing the math problems on the test paper, full of confidence.
He carefully read the questions and answered them diligently, applying all the knowledge he had learned to the test paper.
After the exam, Tan Yuze excitedly approached Xu Li: "Little Li, I think I did pretty well on this exam!"
Xu Li smiled and encouraged him, "I believe you can definitely achieve good results." On the day the results were announced, Tan Yuze came to the bulletin board with a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
His eyes lit up when he saw his math score. His math grades had improved significantly and were no longer the heartbreaking scores they used to be.
He turned and rushed towards Xu Li, hugging her tightly: "Xiao Li, I did it! I really did it!" Xu Li smiled happily and patted Tan Yuze on the back: "I knew you could do it, Yuze. You're really amazing!"
"But shouldn't you let me go now? It's hot." Sure enough, when they turned around, many classmates were looking at them. Especially since there was a teacher in front of them.
Sure enough, they were taken to the office. "What were you doing in public just now? Hugging each other like that, you're students."
After a series of criticisms, the teacher released them.
Tan Yuze's learning journey continues, and he knows that more challenges await him in the future.
But he was no longer afraid, because he knew that with Xu Li, his good friend, by his side, he would continue to walk bravely.
Tan Yuze stood at the classroom door, staring at the densely packed timetable on the blackboard, and took a deep breath. Xu Li patted him on the shoulder: "What's there to be nervous about? It's just a new semester, what are we afraid of?"
Tan Yuze turned around and smiled: "It's not fear, it's anticipation."
Xu Li was stunned for a moment, then smiled.
In math class, just after the teacher finished explaining a complex geometry problem, Tan Yuze whispered, "Xiao Li, I can solve this problem!" Xu Li turned around in surprise and saw that Tan Yuze's eyes were full of determination.
He quickly wrote down the solution steps, each one precise and accurate, leaving his deskmate speechless with amazement.
During break, Tan Yuze excitedly ran to Xu Li with the problem he had just solved: "Xiao Li, look, I solved it!"
Xu Li took the paper and looked at the clear solution process, a sense of pride welling up inside her: "Tan Yuze, you've really improved." Tan Yuze scratched his head: "It's all thanks to you, Xiao Li. How about we continue working on some difficult problems tonight?"
Xu Li nodded with a smile. During self-study, Tan Yuze was engrossed in a physics problem, fine beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Xu Li quietly approached, looking at his focused profile, her eyes filled with satisfaction.
Tan Yuze finally put down his pen and rubbed his temples: "This question is a bit tricky." Xu Li handed him a glass of water: "How about I help you sort out your thoughts?"
Tan Yuze took the water, smiled and shook his head: "I want to try it myself again. You go and do your thing first."
Xu Li paused for a moment, then smiled with relief: "Okay, I believe you." Tan Yuze smiled sweetly and continued to work hard.
As night fell and the streetlights on campus came on, Tan Yuze was still staring blankly at a difficult problem in the classroom. Xu Li walked in with her books and sat down next to him: "Why haven't you left yet? Don't push yourself too hard."
Tan Yuze snapped out of his daze: "I almost solved it, give me five more minutes." Xu Li looked at his stubborn little face and felt a warm current in her heart: "Okay, I'll wait for you."
Five minutes later, Tan Yuze slammed his hand on the table: "It's done!" He excitedly showed it to Xu Li, his eyes full of pride.
Xu Li looked at him, a hint of emotion flashing in her eyes: "Tan Yuze, you've really grown up."
As they walked out of the teaching building, the two strolled side by side under the moonlight. Xu Li suddenly said, "Tan Yuze, you know what? I actually admire you quite a bit."
Tan Yuze was taken aback: "Admire me?" Xu Li nodded: "You used to be so afraid of math, but now you can work so hard. Not everyone has that kind of courage."
Tan Yuze smiled and looked down: "That's because you've always been with me, otherwise I would have given up long ago."
Xu Li smiled slightly: "The road ahead is long, let's work hard together."
Tan Yuze looked up, his eyes sparkling: "Yes, I believe in you, and I believe in myself."
