Chapter 388 Chaos in the City

She waved her hand: "No need for a midnight snack, you can go now! I'm going to sleep!"

As she spoke, she walked from the window to the bedroom and even lowered the curtains and tent.

Seeing this, the maid turned around and went out, heading straight for the second gate without even turning.

In the room, Song Liyun blew out the candles, took off her outer garment and hung it by the bedside, then took out a roll of sheepskin from her spatial storage and placed it in the quilt, arranging it to resemble a sleeping person.

After tidying herself up, she lay down at the foot of the bed and took out an invisible fabric to wrap herself up.

The man was still reeling from the fall when he saw a grayish thing roll out from under the bed. Before he could even cry out, a dark stick came hurtling straight at his face.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye; the man's head was smashed so hard he was knocked unconscious.

Song Liyun didn't try to move the person. Instead, she listened carefully. When there was no further movement outside, she took a closer look at the person who had tried to kidnap her.

He was a middle-aged man dressed as an official or yamen runner, and appeared to be a staff member of the garrison.

hehe!

Add to that the maid and the rough old woman from earlier, and this garrison is truly a sieve!
