Chapter 10 Who said I want to kick you out?

Chapter 10 Who said I want to kick you out?

Wang was originally illiterate.

When Chunxi was four years old, her father began to hold her hand and teach her to write, and he would also leave her homework. When he was escorting the escort, he was often away from home for several months, and only Wang was with Chunxi.

Wang thought it was useless for women to study, but she dared not disobey her husband's words. She also hoped that her daughter's intelligence would make her husband happy when he returned home, so she asked someone, learned it herself, and then taught Chunxi.

Bringing pen, ink, paper and inkstone, Wang quickly wrote the note and then bit her finger to press her fingerprint.

Chunxi thought of the scene when Wang taught him to write when he was young, and then looked at the blood-red fingerprints, and his heart couldn't help but ache.

After Wang finished writing, Chunxi immediately took the pen and wrote his own.

She didn't want a dowry, and after getting married, she wouldn't ask her parents for a single penny.

After pressing their fingerprints and exchanging written documents, Wang was nervous, but she remained firm and said, "I'll go find the matchmaker tomorrow. Since you're so capable, don't eat a single grain of rice from our house, and remember to pay the rent."

Where can an unmarried girl go if she has no place to stay in her parents' home?

Qian tugged at Chunxi's arm cautiously: "My dear sister, what I said was just a rant. Don't take it seriously. Just be humble and everything will be fine."

Cao Wenze hugged Chunxi's legs and said coquettishly: "Sister, you just came home. I don't want you to get married so soon. Can you stay at home with me more?"

The neighbors also followed suit and urged Chunxi to admit his mistake.

After all, Wang is her mother. Even if she spoke a little harshly, it is not easy for her to raise a family after being a widow for many years. What else can she do as a daughter if she can't bear it and give in?

Chunxi didn't think he was wrong.

She took out a tael of silver and placed it on the table: "The cheapest inn outside only costs three cents a day. If it's more than that, I'll move out."

Wang didn't expect Chunxi to really resist her to the end.

Wang took the silver and trembled with anger. "Okay, okay, you've learned some skills in the Wei family and grown up strong. From now on, I'll just pretend I don't have a daughter like you!"

Wang burst into tears after she finished speaking. She was really sad. Everyone rushed to comfort her. Chunxi went straight back to the house and bolted the door, letting Wang and everyone else scold her for being disobedient and unfilial.

Wang cursed for most of the night before going to bed, and went out early the next morning to find Zhang the matchmaker.

Matchmaker Zhang was well-informed and had long known Chunxi's situation. As soon as Wang mentioned it, the matchmaker smiled and said, "Your Chunxi is beautiful and hardworking. Although she is a little older, she is also easy to persuade. Let me take care of this matter."

Wang was very surprised: "Chunxi has been serving the eldest young master of the Wei family for the past three years, you may not know..."

"I know that Young Master Wei was injured and paralyzed in bed before. His recovery now is all thanks to your Chunxi. This shows that Chunxi has a good fate and is blessed with great fortune, which is something that many people would beg for."

Matchmaker Zhang praised Chunxi and also flattered Wang, saying that she had taught her daughter well. Wang couldn't help but feel elated.

If she hadn't reluctantly sold Chunxi to the Wei family, how could Chunxi have such good fortune today and be so sought after by others?

Wang's mood improved and she was ready to go home and scold Chunxi again. However, when she got home, she found the stove was cold and there was nothing to eat. Chunxi and Qian were not at home either.

Wang angrily cooked herself a bowl of plain noodles. Just as she finished eating, the two men came back.

Qian had a smile on her face, but when she saw Wang, her smile faded and she said respectfully, "Mother, you're back."

After Qian finished speaking, she couldn't help but burp.

Wang immediately smelled the aroma of steamed lamb.

Well, she eats bland noodles at home, while they go out to eat delicious and spicy food.

This is outrageous!

Wang was about to get angry, but then she saw Qian pull her sleeve down to cover the silver bracelet on her wrist.

Wang immediately glared at Chunxi, but before she could say anything, Chunxi took the things she had bought and went into the kitchen.

Wang followed him into the kitchen and saw Chunxi take out a wild rabbit and a large piece of pork, as well as other things like chili peppers, bay leaves, and star anise.

Several of these items are more expensive than pork!

Wang's eyelids twitched twice.

She was in charge of the family's money. She counted it as soon as she came back, and the cloth in her room had not been moved. Chunxi was so extravagant, she must have hidden some money!

No wonder this girl was so stubborn and didn't want a dowry. It turns out she got even greater benefits!

Come to think of it, Mrs. Wei loved her son so much, how could she send Chunxi away with just a carriage of cloth?

How much reward did Lady Wei give Chunxi? Thousands or tens of thousands?

The more Wang thought about it, the more she felt like she was being scratched by a cat. She couldn't help but scold Chunxi, "You heartless girl! You don't use your heart on outsiders, but use it all on your own family. How much money did Madam Wei give you to make you so cruel as to cut ties with the family?"

Wang regretted it.

I regretted not finding out how much reward Chunxi had received, and then causing such an awkward situation with Chunxi.

When Wang thought about Chunxi having no worries about getting married and going to another family with a large sum of money, she felt like someone was cutting her flesh.

Seeing Wang's painful expression, Chunxi curled her lips and said sarcastically, "If I hadn't been more careful, I would have been kicked out by my mother last night."

When Chunxi was transferred to Lingfengyuan to take care of Wei Lingze, she understood that if she wanted to live a good life, she could only rely on herself.

Concerned about the "huge sum of money" Chunxi had on her, Wang's tone softened: "Who wants to kick you out? I risked my life to give birth to you. If you hadn't embarrassed me in front of so many people, would I have been so angry at you that I said nonsense?"

Chunxi ignored the question. He fetched water, cleaned the rabbit, and placed it on the chopping board. Then he asked Wang, "I'll pay you for the firewood and oil. Do I have to pay extra for using the stove?"

Chunxi treated Wang as a complete stranger and bargained with her. Wang was choked to death and said "Whatever you want" and went back to the house with a grim face.

Chunxi didn't care. He picked up the knife and chopped the rabbit into thumb-sized pieces.

Dried meat needs to be steamed and dried repeatedly to be made. She plans to make some rabbit meat first and give it to Shen Qingyuan to try.

The Wei family is particular about food and has several chefs in the mansion who are skilled in different cuisines. In order to take better care of Wei Lingze, Chunxi also learned some, which now come in handy.

Heat oil over high heat, add the marinated rabbit meat and stir-fry until golden brown, then add salt, chili pepper, green and red pepper and spices and stir-fry until colored, finally sprinkle with a handful of white sesame seeds before serving, and the fragrant spicy rabbit meat is ready.

It tastes better when it is cooled and soaked in oil.

Chunxi took out all the rabbit meat and put it into a lunch box. After cleaning up the kitchen, he took the lunch box and went out.

As soon as she left, Wang came into the kitchen.

She had already been drooling over the aroma, but Chunxi didn't leave any meat residue for her, and even washed the pot without any grease.

Who is this clumsy girl going to give the rabbit meat to?
