Chapter 284: The Secret of the Old Hospital 81
It was a dark and windy night.
On the edge of the city, a long-abandoned hospital stands alone in the desolate landscape, as if telling a story unknown to the public. Named Hope, it was once the only medical facility in the area. However, as the city expanded, people gradually moved away, and the hospital fell into disrepair.
Now, it has become a ghostly ruin. Legend has it that it hides a huge secret, attracting countless explorers and curious people to explore.
Late at night, three young people, Li Hao, Zhang Yu, and Wang Xiaomei, quietly arrived at the abandoned hospital. They were a group of young people in the city who loved adventure. They had heard the story of the abandoned hospital for a long time and now decided to uncover the mystery themselves.
The three of them entered the hospital cautiously. In the darkness, only the sound of their breathing and footsteps echoed in the empty hall. Everything in the hospital seemed unusually eerie: broken windows, crumbling walls, and spider webs everywhere. All signs indicated that no one had been here for a long time.
As they walked up the stairs, a chill hit Wang Xiaomei, who couldn't help but shrink her neck and tightly grasped Li Hao's hand. Li Hao turned his head, gave Wang Xiaomei a reassuring smile, and continued to walk forward.
They arrived at a classroom. The door was half-open, and it was pitch black inside, making it difficult to see what was going on inside. Li Hao reached out and pushed the door open, and a stench of decay hit them. As the three adjusted to the darkness, they found the classroom filled with worn-out desks and chairs, with a faded portrait hanging on the wall.
Suddenly, they heard a rustling sound, as if something was in the corner of the classroom. Li Hao picked up the flashlight and shone it towards the corner. He saw a big rat crawl out from the corner and then ran away in a hurry.
"Ah!" Wang Xiaomei screamed and hugged Li Hao tightly.
"Don't be afraid, it's just a mouse." Li Hao comforted.
They continued walking forward and came to the old building of the hospital, which was even more eerie and terrifying. On the walls of the corridor were some terrifying graffiti that looked like the faces of dead people. Zhang Yu couldn't help but shudder and whispered, "Let's go back. It's too scary here."
Li Hao pondered for a moment, then shook his head: "Now that we're here, we have to find the secret. We can't give up halfway."
Zhang Yu had no choice but to continue following them. They arrived in front of a ward with the door tightly closed. Li Hao walked forward and pushed open the door. A strong musty smell hit them in the face, and the three of them couldn't help coughing.
They adjusted to the darkness and found that the ward was filled with worn-out beds and a picture of Jesus hung on the wall. Suddenly, they heard a low cry, as if it was right next to their ears.
Wang Xiaomei turned pale with fear and hugged Li Hao tightly. Li Hao picked up the flashlight and shone it around the ward, but found nothing.
"Let's go back." Zhang Yu said in a trembling voice.
Li Hao ignored Zhang Yu and turned to walk towards the portrait, observing it carefully. Suddenly, he found a secret door behind the portrait. He excitedly pushed it open and found a secret passage inside.
"We found the secret!" Li Hao said excitedly.
The three of them entered the dark passage without hesitation. It was pitch black and they could only rely on the light of the flashlight to move forward. The passage became narrower and steeper, so they had to move forward carefully.
Finally, they arrived at a basement with the door tightly shut. Li Hao walked forward and pushed open the door. A strong stench hit them, and the three of them couldn't help but vomit.
They adjusted to the darkness and found that the basement was filled with strange instruments and a huge cross hung on the wall. Suddenly, they heard a low murmur, as if it was right next to their ears.
"Let's go back." Zhang Yu said in a trembling voice.
Li Hao ignored Zhang Yu and walked towards the cross, observing it carefully. Suddenly, he discovered a secret passage underneath the cross. He excitedly went into the passage and found a tattered diary inside.
Li Hao picked up the diary and opened a page. It said, "I hope I can find the secret and lift the curse."
"Curse?" Li Hao couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
Suddenly, they heard a burst of hurried footsteps, and then the basement door was slammed shut. The three were locked in the basement, and they looked at each other in horror.
"What should we do?" Wang Xiaomei was so scared that her eyes were filled with tears.
Li Hao picked up the diary in his hand and said firmly: "We must find a way to lift the curse before we can leave here."
The three decided to continue searching for the secret to unlock the curse. They believed that as long as
