Chapters 79 and 80: The Secret of the Disc and Clues to the Past

Chapter 79: The Secret of the CD

Qin Xue returned to her apartment, closed the door, and nervously locked it. She sat at the table, tightly holding the mysterious CD in her hand. Her eyes were fixed on the CD, her heart filled with curiosity and nervousness.

She knew that these discs might contain the deepest secrets of the old hospital. She carefully opened the box, and found several discs neatly arranged inside.

Qin Xue took a deep breath, then picked up a CD and inserted it into the computer's CD-ROM drive. A folder appeared on the screen, containing several files. She opened them one by one, and the contents before her shocked her.

These documents recorded the details of all the experiments conducted in the old hospital, including the information of the monsters whose bodies had been transformed. Qin Xue's heart beat faster. She couldn't imagine that this hospital had once conducted such crazy experiments.

She continued to look through the files, and suddenly, a name caught her attention. It was a person she had investigated before, who used to be a doctor in this hospital, but later left the hospital for mysterious reasons.

Qin Xue's heart skipped a beat. She knew this man might be the key to uncovering the truth. She decided to find him and uncover the truth behind his leaving the hospital.

She quickly gathered her documents and left her residence. She knew her journey was far from over. She wanted to make the truth public and bring justice to those innocent lives.

Qin Xue walked out of the old hospital, her eyes flashing with determination. She knew that her battle had just begun. She wanted to bring those who had committed crimes to justice and ensure that justice was served.

Chapter 80: Tracing Clues to the Past

Carrying the secrets of the CD, Qin Xue embarks on a journey to discover the past of the old hospital's doctor. She knows that this doctor may hold important clues connecting the past and the present, and his story may reveal more details of the hospital's dark history.

Her first destination was the doctor's home. As far as she knew, the doctor had been living in an old apartment on the edge of the city since leaving the hospital. Qin Xue drove through the bustling streets and finally arrived at this quiet neighborhood.

The doctor's apartment door was closed. Qin Xue knocked, but there was no response. She looked around and noticed that the mailbox next to the door was full of mail. It was obvious that he had not been home for some time.

Qin Xue refused to give up and began asking around for the doctor's whereabouts. Neighbors weren't impressed, but she did find some useful information. It was said that the doctor had been frequenting a small library on the other side of town, which housed a large collection of medical and historical books.

Qin Xue decided to go to the library. On the way, she pondered the doctor's motives. Why had he suddenly left the hospital? What was his connection to the secrets of the old hospital? These questions, like a fog, surrounded her mind.

A few hours later, Qin Xue arrived at the library. It was an ancient and peaceful place, the air filled with the scent of books and wood. Qin Xue asked the librarian about the doctor's whereabouts. The librarian told her that the doctor did come here often, but he seemed to have disappeared recently and no one knew where he was.

Qin Xue was feeling frustrated, but as she was about to leave, her eyes were drawn to a worn medical textbook on the shelf. The cover was tattered, but the title, "Human Experimentation: Ethics and Practice," was still clearly visible.

She suddenly realized that this book might be the key to solving the mystery of the doctor's disappearance. Qin Xue quickly borrowed the book and found a quiet corner to start reading it.

The book records a series of historical cases of human experiments, some of which were surprisingly similar in method and process to the files on the CD. Qin Xue had an ominous premonition in her heart, and she was worried that the doctor's disappearance was related to the consequences of these experiments.

She continued reading until her eyes became too tired to continue. She decided to go home and rest, planning to continue her investigation the next day. But what she didn't know was that she had been targeted by a mysterious figure who was very uneasy about her investigation.
