Chapter 77 Drinking Flower Dew with a Diamond-Shaped Mirror

Chapter 77 Drinking Flower Dew with a Diamond-Shaped Mirror

"Master Yuan."

Cui Yiluo frowned slightly after recognizing Yuan Ling.

Yuan Ling leaned against a pillar in the corridor. Despite the intense sword fight, his face showed no signs of fatigue: "Miss Cui, are you in a hurry to find Lord Jiang?"

Before Cui Yilu could answer, Yuan Ling continued, "Does Miss Cui still remember our deal? Why didn't you go to Wanglonggang that day?"

Yuan Ling always considered his own interests, and the transaction needed to be settled. Cui Yiluo said, "Lord Yuan, I don't want to investigate the matter from back then any further."

Moreover, she had already explained to Consort Qiong yesterday that Cui Qi had lost his mind. Who could believe the words of a madman? And her aunt and uncle, the only ones who knew about what happened back then, were the ones who helped Consort Qiong climb to the emperor's side, so they would not come out to expose her.

Her mother, Lan Yi, had already died eighteen years ago in the Ningzhou River. She traded her refusal to acknowledge her for the sake of saving her life.

Perhaps her investigation into the events of that year was simply to find out how Consort Qiong met the Emperor and how she changed her identity to enter the palace.

As soon as he finished speaking, Yuan Ling frowned, then a slight sneer appeared on his lips: "It seems that Miss Cui already knows about what happened back then. Miss Cui and Lord Jiang are truly very close now."

Cui Yiluo ignored Yuan Ling's sarcastic tone, "After all, Lord Yuan helped me before. Let's just say it, what do you want?"

Yuan Ling stared at her silently for a while, seemingly pondering how to extract benefits from her. After a moment, he spoke with a half-smile: "Miss Cui, do you have any other medicines? The Yunyi Guard has had a few tough nuts to crack lately. Without some tricks, it's unlikely we can get anything out of them."

Uncle Sui was fond of delving into unorthodox methods, and naturally possessed drugs that could be used for interrogation, but...

Cui Yiluo's voice turned cold: "Why did Lord Yuan deliberately injure my husband today?"

She could clearly see from below that Yuan Ling's attack was ruthless, far exceeding the scope of ordinary martial arts; the two were practically fighting. Although Jiang Yunjin won, his arm was clearly badly injured by Yuan Ling's sword. And this duel was one that Yuan Ling had specifically requested to fight Jiang Yunjin.

Yuan Ling was visibly stunned for a moment, then chuckled, "I deliberately hurt him?"

They had been fighting for so long, and he was well aware of Jiang Yunjin's swordsmanship. He could have easily dodged Jiang Yunjin's sword strike, but he managed to block it without any apparent effort or flaw.

She is quite cunning.

Cui Yiluo nodded. "Therefore, shouldn't Lord Yuan be the one to send me the medicine?"

Yuan Ling laughed in anger.

-

When Cui Yiluo returned to her residence, she happened to see Imperial Physician Yang coming out with his attendants carrying medical kits. Upon learning that Jiang Yunjin had not broken any bones, Cui Yiluo felt a little relieved.

Remembering how his sleeve was stained with blood, Cui Yilu quickened her pace.

But as soon as she entered the room, she was pinned against the door.

As soon as she looked up, she was met with the man's dark, brooding eyes, which seemed to be filled with stormy emotions. He had been bandaged and changed into clean clothes. Perhaps due to blood loss, his pale skin had become even paler, but his complexion was as gloomy as if he had returned to Qingchi Lane from those few days ago.

Cui Yilu frowned subconsciously: "You..."

His icy voice instantly plunged the warm room into an ice cave: "Where did A'Luo go just now?"

Cui Yiluo immediately understood, "You sent someone to follow me?"

Why go see him?

He was clearly injured by Yuan Ling; the blood was so conspicuous on his snow-white riding clothes, yet she wouldn't even come back to see him. Instead, she went to see Yuan Ling, and it had to be Yuan Ling again.

His slender fingers traced down her delicate chin, across her collarbone, and finally stopped at her heart. Cui Yiluo instinctively tried to dodge, but his powerful body pressed her firmly against the door, leaving her no choice but to endure his forceful touch on her soft chest.

He scoffed, "Does A'Luo truly have no feelings for me at all?"

Cui Yiluo took a deep breath and patiently explained, "I just... with him..."

Her chin was suddenly grabbed, and a powerful, surging kiss pressed down on her. He skillfully pried open her teeth, teasing her soft, evasive movements. He didn't care about her refusing, and made her see only him.

The more forceful he was, the more she resisted. Her wrists were easily locked in his large hands, and she kicked him in protest, but he remained unmoved, pressing her down and kissing her.

Suddenly, the man's strong, lean legs slid in beneath her knees. Before Cui Yilu could react, he grabbed her legs and wrapped them around her waist. The situation was spiraling out of control.

The door shook again, the frequency familiar, making Cui Yiluo's mind tremble, as if she were in a furnace.

Behind the door was a woven carpet, and clothes were piled up haphazardly, with a bright red embroidered peony-patterned dress on top that was particularly eye-catching.

The man's muscular arms were wrapped in several thick, jarring, snow-white bandages, yet he acted as if he were uninjured, his strength perfectly balanced.

He bit her earlobe and whispered in her ear, "Didn't Aro say she wouldn't see him again?"

Whether out of anger or something else, Cui Yiluo's expression became slurred and her delicate features even more alluring. Her watery eyes were unfocused, yet she stubbornly turned her gaze away from him, defiantly defying his gaze.

She was furious with him.

But the more she ignored him, the more Jiang Yunjin wanted her to have him in her eyes.

He carried her into the inner room. Cui Yiluo was worried about falling to the ground, so her body, which had been resisting, instinctively clung to him. She heard a low, muffled groan from the man.

So this journey took a long time, and we had to slow down every now and then.

Cui Yiluo cursed him angrily, but her voice trembled, as if it was being squeezed out with difficulty from her throat, broken and without any force: "Jiang Yunjin, you madman."

She thought Jiang Yunjin was going to carry her to the couch, the table, the windowsill, or anywhere else she usually went, but she didn't expect him to carry her directly to her dressing table.

On the dressing table with its pear blossom and crabapple blossom patterns, there is a diamond-shaped mirror, neither too big nor too small, just enough to clearly reflect the two figures.

Cui Yiluo was shocked. She turned her head to look at Ya Shangzhuangjin and saw the scene in the mirror. The next moment, she quickly looked away as if she had been scalded by boiling water.

"Are you crazy?!"

That one glance seemed etched into her heart forever. Even with her eyes closed, she could vividly see the man's expression in the mirror, staring intently at her delicate, tear-streaked face with an intense, possessive gaze. Strangely, she gleaned a fleeting thrill from the depths of his dark, passionate eyes.

He's insane!

She had read the booklets Yang Jingling had given her, but she never imagined it could be like this.

The harsh sound of table legs being moved filled my ears. The rouge and perfume on the table had been violently shaken and thrown to the ground. The sound was swallowed up by the thick carpet, only making the stains deeper.

Cui Yiluo noticed him leaning down slightly, pressing his back closer to hers, and his low voice rang in her ears: "Don't you want to see me, Aluo?"

Cui Yiluo thought what he had done before was already outrageous and crazy enough, but she never expected him to push the boundaries even further. Her heart pounded at his completely unrestrained and wild behavior; her watery eyes were tightly closed, and she clenched her teeth in protest: "No!"

Suddenly, his fingers brushed against her neck. His fingers pinched her neck, slightly tightening, without hurting her or making her feel suffocated. The force was just right, making her look up, her small face directly facing the mirror, her shoulder blade pressed against his chest.

He held her taut neck; her skin was delicate, and with the slightest pressure, he left one mark after another.

The hand that was gripping her neck to force her to lift her face wasn't using much force, but he had other ways to coerce her.

"Open your eyes."

Forced into a corner by him, Cui Yiluo had no choice but to open her eyes and look at her own dazed appearance in the mirror. He stood behind her, taking in everything, his dark eyes even deeper, so black that not a single ray of light could penetrate them.

So even though she opened her eyes, he did not lessen his pressure; on the contrary...

He seemed to like it very much.

Cui Yiluo felt like he was driving her crazy. She resisted and cursed at him, but it was no use. He stared intently at her in the mirror and wouldn't let her close her eyes. If she closed her eyes, she would be punished.

His wound had long since burst open, the bright red staining the bandage even more intensely. Yet, he seemed oblivious to the pain, his strength undiminished. The sticky blood even stained Cui Yiluo's shoulder, turning her red. The sight was too shocking for Cui Yiluo to bear. Enraged, she bit down on his index finger, which was still red, and continued biting it until she tasted a few drops of blood.

Finally, when Cui Yiluo was carried into the hot spring pool provided by the residence to wash, her legs were already sore from standing. Later, she was almost being carried by him, with all her weight on his shoulders.

Jiang Yunjin always cleaned very meticulously. Cui Yiluo leaned weakly against him, and after the cleaning, she couldn't say a word.

Unexpectedly, the calm hot spring pool was suddenly engulfed in turmoil, like a stormy seaside where the shore was battered by waves and covered in watermarks.

Cui Yilu stared at the open blue sky, her eyes trembling with shock. Jiang Yunjin's wound had already reopened, and now, immersed in the hot spring, he disregarded the risk of infection, wanting only to merge her into his very bones, so that she could never be separated from him.

She was furious and lost her balance, sitting on his face. She should have moved away immediately, but thinking of what had just happened, she decided to retaliate and lost her strength.

Unexpectedly, he suddenly moved, and a sensation followed. Cui Yiluo was horrified; she never imagined that he, who was always so fastidious, could endure such humiliation, and instead…

Seemingly savoring the sweet drink, Cui Yiluo was even more furious and tried to move away, but he grabbed her vital spot, making her unable to move.

Upon falling back into the hot spring, Cui Yiluo finally realized something was wrong.

You saw my things?

Jiang Yunjin did not answer.

But his expression clearly indicated his agreement. Cui Yilu couldn't understand how he had discovered the box of booklets Yang Jingling had given her, which she had carefully kept.

Fragmented memories suddenly flashed into her mind. Back then, because they weren't married yet, Yang Jingling first delivered that box of things to Luoyun Lane. When she delivered it, she picked up one of the books and flipped through it casually, just in time to run into Jiang Yunjin who came looking for her.

Cui Yiluo suddenly realized that he knew back then! But he pretended to be serious and proper, as if nothing had happened.

Cui Yilu deliberately provoked him, but her voice was broken and intermittent: "Jiang Yunjin... so you didn't follow the rules back then..."

The only answer she received was the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

It's unclear how much time passed, until it was completely dark, before Jiang Yunjin seemed to finally gain some sense of peace, or perhaps he saw that she couldn't hold on any longer and called it quits.

Even in her sleep, Cui Yilu could feel that she was being held tightly, as if afraid that she would escape.

When she woke up again, it was already the middle of the night. The person holding her was breathing evenly, but Cui Yiluo knew that he had been awake for a long time. They knew each other inside and out.

Thinking back to her earlier madness, Cui Yiluo was furious again. Although he massaged her waist and legs for a long time afterward, she didn't feel much soreness or discomfort, but she was still extremely angry.

She pushed him away forcefully, but touched a sticky, wet hand. The next moment, a soft gasp was heard in the darkness, as if it was from unbearable pain.

She quickly withdrew her hand.

His wound had just reopened, staining the bandage red, and then it got wet from the hot spring water, sticking to his wound and needing immediate re-treatment and bandaging. But the sensation in her palm clearly told her that after it was over, he simply held her and fell asleep, without even treating the wound.

Cui Yilu suppressed her anger and said, "Go light the lamp and reapply the medicine."

In the darkness, she couldn't see his face, but she clearly heard his cold laugh. His voice was stubborn, yet tinged with a hint of disappointment and grievance: "I don't need his medicine."

"Broken Branch" - False Bones + Forced Acquisition -

Mingjin has lost her memory.

When she woke up, a man was taking care of her tirelessly.

The man, gentle and refined, told her with a kind smile, "Auntie, I am your husband."

Mingjin didn't believe it at first.

But the man was extremely patient with her amnesia: she wanted to see some people she used to know in order to regain her memory, so he accompanied her on a three-day carriage ride to see them;

When she woke up from a nightmare in the middle of the night, she found him waiting outside the door, and he didn't leave the room until she was sound asleep.

She felt resistant to him, her sudden husband, and although his eyes were full of hurt, he gave her enough time to adjust.

Moreover, he was born with a face like jade, and was incomparably handsome. He was probably the most handsome man Mingqin had ever seen.

She thought, "A man this good-looking wouldn't have any reason to lie to me."

In matters of intimacy, he gently guided her, allowing her to gradually adapt, just as he usually does.

Only at the very end did he reveal his domineering and possessive nature, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

But after the initial outburst, he apologized to her and reverted to his former gentle and refined self.

The days passed by in this way, inseparable. Mingjin felt that even if she could never regain her memory, it didn't matter. Having him by her side was enough.

Until she remembered everything.

It turned out that the man was not her husband at all, but her elder brother, the Crown Prince Wei Heng.

He was a madman who would gently call her "sister" while imprisoning her in the palace, locking her up, and making her endure his demands every day, threatening her that she could never leave him in this lifetime.

-

She was a fake princess, a pawn used to replace the real princess.

On the day her identity was revealed, she went to her brother, who had always been kind and gentle to her.

The man gently stroked her hair as he had when she was a child, and tenderly agreed.

Then, step by step, they lured her into a large net that had been specially woven for her.

Mingjin could not stay by Wei Heng's side and do things that violate human ethics.

She pretended not to have regained her memory, fooled Wei Heng, and fled in the dead of night.

After boarding the ship, Mingjin finally felt relieved.

After that, she had no further relationship with Wei Heng.

Suddenly, the ship lurched and the door was forced open.

With his back to the thick darkness of the night, Wei Heng, dressed in a black python robe, approached step by step. His once gentle face was now gloomy and dark, his eyes filled with a chilling coldness, like a nightmare demon crawling out of hell.

He walked step by step to Mingjin's side, pulled her into his arms and held her captive, a skillful smile playing on his lips.

"Have you had enough fun, little sister? If you're done, come home with your brother."

-

Mingjin was once again locked in the dark palace.

Late at night, the sound of the golden bell rang loudly and incessantly.

He kissed her lips tenderly yet irresistibly, his eyes filled with a frenzied obsession, and whispered:

"Little sister, you said you would stay with your brother for life."
