Chapter 37 If Line Future Extra Part 2
On the empty white sand beach, two jade dog shikigami were anxiously digging the ground.
With a "woof woof" sound, a black-haired, green-eyed boy with a confused look on his face emerged from the sand.
The jade dog happily licked the white sand on the boy's cheek, and his emerald green eyes were still full of confusion, and he hadn't realized how he and his father ended up here after entering the black hole.
Sugawara Megumi took some effort to dig herself out of the sand. Looking at the sun in the sky that seemed to be scorching people, she checked the things in her backpack, put on her hat and goggles, and took the weapon in her hand.
Sugawara Megumi has extensive experience in surviving any adverse situation, thanks to her jerk dad who made all the assumptions from the start.
After the boy poured out all the white sand in his hat, he recalled his memories before he separated from Shen Er. At the last moment when he was caught in the strange tornado, he actually pulled the black dragon that his mother left for him.
"Asshole dad." Sugawara Megumi whispered, reaching out to rub the heads of the two Jade Dog Shikigami: "Let's go, let's go find mom."
That being said, Sugawara has no clue where her mother is, but Shier seems to insist that he and his mother have a "bond" that can help them find their way.
This statement is unreliable, but Sugawara Megumi likes it very much. It means that his mother also loves and cares about him in other ways.
The young man stood in the deserted white desert and closed his eyes. The abundant cursed energy, accompanied by a black shadow, continued to spread outwards with Sugawara Megumi as the center, and soon dyed the endless white sand black.
Sugawara Megumi looked at a stone not far away with caution: "Who is it?"
A strong and young white-haired man appeared behind the white stone. Strangely, this guy had a pair of colorful eyes that Sugawara Megumi had only seen in novels.
The man with colorful pupils fanned a golden fan and showed a kind and warm smile: "I heard the commotion so I came out to see, young man, do you need help?"
Along with the excited dragon roar, Shen'er felt his heartbeat quicken uncontrollably. It was the first time that Molong, who usually protected Hui, made such an excited sound, which meant that Jiashi was nearby.
With excitement, Shen'er was taken by Molong to the back alley of the residential area.
After noticing the clothes of the people around him and the buildings that resembled ancient times, Shen'er immediately took out the prepared clothes from Chou Bao's belly. When he came out of the alley, he looked no different from the people nearby.
Shen Er was carrying a thick stack of missing person notices and handing them out to passersby on the street: "Excuse me, have you seen the woman on the notice? She is my wife, and I am here with my son to look for her."
A swordsman with a high ponytail and a face full of eyes stopped and noticed that the knife hanging on this guy's waist was very similar to the one in Jia Shi's sleeve.
After being stared at by so many pairs of eyes for half a minute, Shen'er finally found the clue.
"The woman in the painting... looks... like... my... apprentice. What's... your wife's name?" Kokushibo asked seriously.
"Yoshi Sugawara, my wife's name is Yoshi Sugawara." Jiner said quickly.
"Come with me..." Kokushibo paused for a few seconds and looked at Jiner's side: "Where is your... son?"
"We accidentally got separated when we came here. It doesn't matter. We can go find our son after we find Jiashi." Shen Er said with a big heart.
Kokushibo showed a disapproving expression on his face: "This place... is very dangerous."
"Hui is very smart, he is a vigilant child." Shen Er waved his hand and said confidently.
Following behind Kokushibo, Jiner saw that the houses on both sides were becoming more and more magnificent, and finally they arrived at a place that looked like a plus version of the castle tower.
Looking at the two rows of waiters who came out to greet him, he realized belatedly that he had married into a wealthy family.
When a middle-aged man with a height of eight feet and a "lucky" face appeared in front of him, Shen Er swallowed his saliva subconsciously: "Didn't you bring me here to see Jia Shi?"
"Yes... but... as a guest... it's etiquette to first pay a visit to... the head of the family." Kokushibo replied: "This... Sugawara no Michizane... is a man of profound knowledge... and martial arts skills... who is rare in hell."
"That was all in the Heian period." The middle-aged man stroked his beard and looked at the strange young man next to Kokushibo: "What do you want from my daughter?"
"Didn't Jiashi tell you that we were married and had a child in this life?" After clarifying the relationship, Shen'er said kindly, "It's really rude for me to visit you so late, father-in-law."
Then he saw the lightning falling from the sky, and at the same time he remembered the legendary Sugawara no Michizane, who seemed to be not only a literary master and a powerful cursed spirit, but also had a nickname called Thunder God.
Sugawara Megumi felt that this guy who suddenly appeared was very suspicious, but if she wanted to find out what was going on here, there was nothing better than asking this guy.
"What an alert young man! You're new here, aren't you?" The man with the rainbow pupils spread his hands and said, "This is the edge of hell, it's very dangerous. You can go there and you'll see people soon."
Sugawara Megumi was stunned for a moment: "Is this hell?"
"Don't be surprised. In fact, death is very harsh on humans. It will repeatedly watch the revolving lanterns of people and finally decide where humans will go after becoming Buddhas. However, only a very small number of people can go to heaven." The man with colorful pupils explained patiently.
"This place is different from what I imagined." Sugawara Megumi said. He didn't expect his mother to be in hell, nor did he expect hell to be like this: "If it is dangerous here, why are you here?"
The man with the rainbow pupils laughed. He waved his fan and a layer of ice appeared on the ground. "Because people often die of thirst in the desert, I bring ice water here to preach."
Feeling the drop in temperature and moisture, Sugawara Kei also felt a little more comfortable. He didn't expect this to be the reason.
Intuition made Sugawara Megumi still a little wary of the guy in front of him, but the words of the man with colorful pupils made him relax his vigilance again. A guy who would provide ice water to thirsty travelers in the desert couldn't be a bad person.
With such thoughts, Sugawara Megumi felt dizzy.
Oh no, I’m infected.
Her body fell forward uncontrollably, and Sugawara Megumi saw the abundant emotions in the eyes of the man with the seven-colored pupils: it was a creepy appetite.
It turns out that it is not only the good missionaries who give ice water to thirsty travelers in the desert, but also the cunning hunters.
The young man's fingers moved slightly, and the jade dog that was protecting its master attacked the man with colorful pupils viciously.
Then Sugawara Megumi saw the flash of a sword, a flash so brilliant that it looked like a sword with a crescent moon as its tail.
The Jade Dog's spell was broken by Sugawara Megumi before he was hit by the man with the seven-colored pupils. The boy lay back on the sand and looked up at the figure that was getting closer and closer.
His vision was a little blurry, but Sugawara Megumi could feel the gaze on him.
Douma's ice is poisonous. Even after going to hell and becoming a little more "hearted", this guy still hasn't changed his habit of eating people.
Sugawara Yoshiyo kicked the head that had flown to his feet far away. Seeing that it had successfully stuck to the cactus, he whistled: "If you can't help but eat people while delivering water to atone for your sins, you won't be able to go to heaven to see Miss Shinobu even after another hundred years."
"Are you just going to leave me here? Miss Sugawara is still so rude." Douma said with a smile.
Sugawara Yoshiyo took out the antidote and walked towards the boy lying on the ground. After taking off the outdoor mask, she froze in place.
"Mei" Sugawara Yoshiyo asked tentatively in a low voice.
The boy reluctantly opened his eyes, and those emerald green eyes had already given Sugawara Yoshiyo the answer.
When Sugawara Megumi woke up, she found herself suspended in the air and carried on someone's back. She felt cool and was holding a long scarf made of unknown material.
"I can walk by myself." Sugawara Megumi said sullenly, feeling down about the fact that she was knocked unconscious due to her lack of vigilance.
"Douma added his own blood to the ice, and the poison spread in the air and was difficult to detect." Sugawara Yoshiyo explained.
After discovering that she was being carried by a woman, Sugawara Megumi struggled to get down.
Sugawara Yoshiyo tried hard to adjust her voice and asked with a smile: "Mei, where is your father?"
It was a very gentle voice, but Sugawara Megumi shuddered inexplicably, and even stopped struggling. She said very obediently: "I got separated from my father when I came to look for my mother. Do you know me?"
Sugawara Yoshiyo turned her head and looked at the half of the boy's face that was exposed. She couldn't help but show a helpless expression: "Of course I know you. I held you in my arms when you were a child."
Sugawara Megumi remembered what his uncles said about his father working as an undercover agent for a while after graduating from the police academy. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to be a chef: "Then do you know what your father was like before?"
Sugawara Yoshiyo asked back: "What is Shino like now?"
"It's still the same. When I'm not playing pellet games, I'm at the Japanese restaurant. But I often disappear and only appear during sports meets or important days to take a lot of photos." Sugawara Megumi said.
"A Japanese restaurant?" Sugawara Yoshiyo recalled the boy's attire. Judging from the brands of his shoes and clothes, he probably didn't spend all the money she left behind.
"Dad opened a Japanese restaurant, didn't you know?" asked Sugawara Megumi.
"I really don't know. When I knew Jin'er, he could only cut vegetables." Sugawara Yoshiyo took a deep breath: "Does Jin'er often disappear? Then who will take care of you?"
"Uncle Ren next door often makes double portions of food, and Uncle Ling and Uncle Jing both live in Mihua. They both care about me, and I can take care of myself." Sugawara Megumi said, and green plants gradually appeared in her vision: "Have we left the desert?"
"I'll find a way to find Shinji. Before that, is Kei hungry?" asked Sugawara Yoshiyo.
Sugawara Megumi was silent for a few seconds and looked towards the shop in the distance: "Ramen bar."
When sitting at the kang table in the ramen restaurant, Sugawara Megumi fell silent as he looked at the kind lady who carried him. He was so familiar with this face that he could see it in photos every day.
"Mom," Sugawara Megumi said softly as she looked at the young woman in front of her who seemed only a few years older than her.
Sugawara Yoshiyo touched the sea urchin hair, which felt completely different from the baby's hair, and couldn't help but sigh: "Finally, we meet again, my child."
Seeing the boy's bewilderment, Sugawara Yoshiyo walked forward and embraced her child with open arms.
The difference in the speed of time flow made Sugawara Yoshiyo not feel it was too real, but at this moment it felt real.
The soft little child who was tugging at her clothes with his fingers has grown into a strong young man. Although he looks a little thinner than his father, his muscles are evenly distributed, showing that he has been well exercised.
"I actually brought you to hell. I'm going to give you a good punch when we meet." Sugawara Yoshiyo said seriously, patting the boy's slightly trembling back.
"Mom, do you want to go home with me?" Sugawara Kei wiped the corners of her eyes and raised her head and asked.
Sugawara Yoshiyo took out a handkerchief and wiped the boy's red eyes: "Of course I have to go home, but before that I have to go somewhere."
Sugawara Megumi was a little uncomfortable with this kind of intimate action, but she couldn't refuse seeing her mother's extremely natural action.
The boy, standing straight, was already a head taller than Sugawara Yoshiyo. He lowered his head so that his mother could wipe him more thoroughly.
Although he was not used to it, he still tried his best to consider her feelings. Sugawara Yoshiyo touched his son's face and was a little worried. People with this kind of personality would easily suffer losses.
"Can I really eat the food here?" Sugawara Megumi looked at the menu on the wall a little hesitantly.
"I brought you here to see a doctor. There's an expert on ghosts in hell living upstairs," said Yoshiyo Sugawara.
Sugawara Megumi inexplicably felt that the name was a little familiar. After seeing the gentle woman with the pearl flowers, he knew where the familiar feeling came from.
"Mrs. Tamayo," Sugawara Megumi asked cautiously.
"Do you know me?" Mrs. Tsumage was always kind to children.
"I've seen your portrait at the home of Mr. Yushiro Yamamoto, a painter my father took me to visit," Sugawara Megumi explained.
"Is Yushiro okay?" Mrs. Tamayo lowered her eyes and showed a nostalgic expression.
Sugawara Megumi thought of the famous painter who always locked himself in his room. "It's not good. Mr. Yushiro spent all his time and energy thinking about you. He painted countless works, and the protagonist in each one was you, Mrs. Tamayo."
Sugawara Megumi knew that the painter Yamamoto Yushiro and Shiro had a mutual understanding, and now he understood that it might be because both of them missed their deceased lovers in their lives.
The painting is a part of the expression of longing, and so is he, the product of the blood relationship between the two.
Mrs. Tamayo stood there in a daze. This answer was something she had not expected and it shocked her deeply: the future she had imagined for Yushiro was not like this.
Even though she was shocked, Mrs. Tamayo still gave Sugawara Megumi a comprehensive physical examination: "The serum has taken effect, and Megumi is in good physical condition.
But remember to supplement with calcium and milk. Have you been unable to sleep at night due to growing pains recently?
Sugawara Megumi touched her leg and said, "I thought it was just muscle pain. I've been training a bit too much in volleyball lately."
"Is Kei playing volleyball? Jumping up and down all the time is good." Sugawara Yoshiyo said, "If you have muscle pain, going home and massaging and applying heat to your muscles and joints should help alleviate some of it."
"Also, you should pay attention to eating nutritious food. However, if you are a parent like Jiashi, there is no need to remind you of these things." Mrs. Zhushi said as she continued to prescribe a medicine.
Yoshiyo Sugawara felt very fresh walking on the street, holding medicine in her left hand and holding her son's hand with her right hand.
"Mei, do you want to meet your grandfather? Your grandfather is a learned man. Although he lived in the Heian period, he is very open-minded.
Your grandfather is a very kind and gentle man. He would be very happy to see you." Sugawara Yoshiyo said.
Hui's face showed an expectant expression. Since her mother was so gentle, her grandfather must be a very gentle person as well.
Then, after following her mother into a traditional Japanese house that was more luxurious than the ones in historical dramas like the Ooku, Sugawara Megumi saw her father being pinned to the ground and beaten by a bearded old man.
Shen'er, whose clothes were tattered by the lightning strike, was trapped in the marble rubble. The embarrassed man smiled brightly: "Jia Shi, I was just talking to my father-in-law about my marriage to a son-in-law—"
Sugawara Megumi saw that her bastard father couldn't even finish a complete sentence before her kind and gentle grandfather picked him up with one hand and spun him in the air like a windmill.
